MM2etvwkoy****Had a fantastic stay! The front desk staff (our concierge) was incredibly thoughtful, greeting us at the door and helping with our luggage. The hotel had a lovely seasonal osmanthus scent throughout, and the tranquil environment was perfect for photos. Plus, there were rabbits and parrots! A truly great spot for a getaway.

WWudixiaolxThe hotel's ambiance is fantastic, and the breakfast rice noodles and regular noodles are absolutely delicious, especially with the braised beef brisket. In the afternoon, you can head to the rooftop for a cozy tea session by the fire, and there are also DIY craft activities for couples. We made a beautiful lacquer fan! The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the room offer stunning views of Guilin's karst landscape. The butler service is incredibly thoughtful; we received welcome fruits upon check-in, and for supper, they even offer late-night noodles and bedtime milk delivered to your room, ensuring a very peaceful sleep. The hotel also has a pool and a kids' club, making it perfect for families traveling with children.

GGuest UserFirstly the location is spectacular, which is the main reason we booked. The view from the room was really beautiful and it was easy enough to get to the old town by boat. Secondly the owner was so lovely and helpful and helped us organise many activities, and even accompanied us on a few. The staff are very responsive and helpful on wechat and helped us organise activities and meals. The dog was also a big highlight for our kids, especially my daughter who even cried about leaving him. The terrace is lovely too and has an amazing view. The meals cooked for us were very nice, and breakfast was adequate. The room is ok, a bit basic but met our needs. The only complaint I have is that the rooms are not sound proof, and therefore you hear every sound in the corridor and stairs. We travelled with young children who go to bed early and they struggled to fall asleep with the noise of kids running, playing and screaming in the hallway. It may not be an issue for those going to sleep later, but for us it was tough. The staff however did respond to our feedback and asked the kids to be quiet, but you do still hear people moving around outside. Overall I would recommend.

GGiuliaThis place is a jewel nestled on the hills over Xingping. Rooms are really nice and comfortable, the common area is almost poetic, with the long table over the terrace, and food is really delicious!
Even if the location is quite remote, you can count on the owner to go to and from the small harbour on the river, and they will also help you with directions for all the surrounding areas.
I had chosen this place mainly for its convenient location for Damianshan mountain: I was expecting to see a fantastic sunrise from the top. I am a little disappointed because the trail was not so easy to follow when we visited: vegetation hid the trail in several points and we were not able to find the last part and reach the top. I have already highlighted this to the boss so I hope they will adjust this in the future. ;) Unfortunately I only had one night / one sunrise so I missed my opportunity... we had to stop at a lower point with a nice view, but well, not *that* view. ;)
Anyway, it's my only regret, for the rest everything was perfect. Thanks for everything!

AAlenaBananaMay family and I spent a wonderful time in this hotel. The location is great for those who want to enjoy solitude but still be not too far from the village entertainment. The hotel is located in a secluded area but is still quite close to touristic sites.
The hotel itself has everything you need - good cuisine with a bar. You can order your drinks right to a clean swimming pool and enjoy a peaceful time on a sling-chair. If you need anything else - the delivery works fine there, although requires a little bit longer than you might expect.
The staff deserves a praise - they can speak English, they’re very friendly and helpful.
As for the entertainments - you can find various brochures on the check in desk and the staff will help you book the trips.
As for the transportation-there’s a small house near the hotel where you can rent e-bikes for a reasonable price.
Laundry - you can leave it at the check in desk and it’ll be returned to you at 22:30 on the same day for some fees.
Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the hotel and will recommend it to all my friends who’ll go there in the future.

XXiangdianshenme…This hotel is absolutely fantastic! The service is incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The staff actually remembered what I ordered the day before and my room number. The hotel's location is superb and truly unique, nestled amidst mountains and rivers. The transformation of the old sugar factory is full of incredible detail, preserving its original charm beautifully. Every old brick and door frame clearly shows the immense time and effort put into its renovation – a truly heartfelt masterpiece, a rare find in China with such dedication to craftsmanship. Dong Gong's architecture subtly blends into the surroundings, almost hiding itself, ensuring it doesn't detract from the old sugar factory at all. I'd love to come back again; it's a wonderful sanctuary for mind and soul. Finally, a big thank you to all the hotel staff for their diligent work and to Luna, our butler, for her excellent care.

HHaoyunlailyyThis hotel in Yangshuo was such a pleasant surprise! You get amazing mountain views right from your room. The rooftop 'Sky Mirror' offers stunning panoramic views of the winding Li River – it's like a built-in filter for your photos, every shot looks professional! The hotel's location is excellent, right next to West Street, making it super convenient for exploring and dining. Plus, there's free parking, which is a huge bonus if you're driving.
They offer a complimentary buffet breakfast, and the rooms are spacious. I loved relaxing on the balcony sofa during the day, just unwinding and enjoying the mountain scenery, and then watching the sunset in the evening – it felt like time just slowed down. The room I booked even had a soaking tub, and bathing while looking at the mountains was incredibly relaxing! For anyone looking to escape the city for a bit, a weekend here is truly rejuvenating!

GGuest UserWe have to admit we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our receptionist, Xiaoyao, who was incredibly helpful throughout our visit. He quickly answered all our questions and was always happy to assist us with any queries or issues. His caring attitude made us feel very comfortable, and his excellent English made communication a breeze. Xiaoyao truly made a difference in our experience at both the hotel and in the town!
However, regarding the hotel itself, I have to say that the standards were lower than advertised. While our room was nice, modern, and fresh, the pool area needs serious renovation. We noticed missing tiles and poor maintenance. Although the view from the pool was spectacular and we enjoyed using it, those seeking higher standards might find their needs unmet.
Despite its flaws, this hotel has great potential, and I believe it deserves outstanding reviews—perhaps it did a decade ago. I truly hope it will be restored to its former glory. Breakfast consisted of a typical Chinese spread, which might not be the best fit for Western guests like us; it would have been nice to have more options. Thankfully, Xiaoyao made us lovely coffee each morning, which added a nice touch to our breakfast routine!
We liked the hotel’s location as well, situated a bit away from the hustle and bustle, yet still close enough to explore the main attractions. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, and with a few improvements, this hotel could be even better!

RReinierThis place is absolutely amazing. I am quite a spoilt traveler since I frequently travel for work, but this hotel has exceeded many of my expectations.
The rooms are very spacious, modern, clean and nicely decorated. Also amazing view on the mountains. Staff is also super friendly and provided great recommendations for food and nearby activities.
Location is also excellent. It’s a ten minute walking distance to the closest bamboo raft and you get to see beautiful surroundings. Also various restaurants close to the hotel, with delicious food. The area is calm and peaceful, yet only ten minutes away from Yangshuo.
Would definitely stay here again!

A special highlight was the rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking panoramic views of West Street. We were also pleasantly surprised when the bar staff offered us complimentary drinks. Highly recommended!
