This is probably one of the best hotels I have been.
Clean, comfortable, close to everything, very nice staff. Have everything you need in the room. They leave you presents in the room, have all the free drinking water you need, free apples, just excellent welcome feeling.
They go as far as pointing the shower head to the side everytime they clean the room so you don't get wet when you turn on the shower. More expensive and luxurios hotels have a lot to learn from these guys. Just excellent.

SSatyrFrostMetropark is a nice hotel located near a river and is relatively central to the city. A lovely staff member, 李雪 (Li Xue) helped me check in and she took me to my hotel room. She was extremely helpful and friendly.
The hotel room is very spacious, clean and quite luxurious. The hotel is within walking distance to the night market and the museum.
Highly recommended.

LlindaruggWhat a special place! Created to look like a desert fortress with beautiful hand-woven rugs hanging in the corridor and a gorgeous mural of the Silk Road in the reception area. The terrace restaurant was a superb place for breakfast with views of the Gobi sand dunes and starry skies at night. The breakfast was enormous, just fabulous, with both Chinese and Western choices. Freshly made noodle soup and omelets and waffles… pretty much anything you could want. Friendly staff, big, well appointed rooms, superior bathroom, everything was great. The location is a little ways from the center of town, but there is a bus across the street that will take you there for two yuan. And you can walk to the right from the hotel for fifteen minutes through a bazaar to a nature site. Loved it!

TThamHotel guests have free access to cherry tomatoes, yoghurts, coffee, minerals, sweets and Chinese tea at their convenience. The staff of the hotel are courteous and friendly. The staff are ready to provide information and guidance. Beside the hotel, there is a restaurant and Shazhou Night Market is 60 meters away. Convenience for shopping for local foods, souvenirs, and etc. Next to Shazhou Night Market is the Dunhuang Bazzar, where more 50 eatery stalls are available. Visitors are spolit for choices of food and it operates till midnight. Will stay at this hotel in our next visit to Dunhuang.

Very affordable and great value for money with all the helpful front staff to housekeeping.
Just around the corner is the street food with lots of restaurants n the Shahzhou nite Market is just 15 minutes walk away.
I highly recommend anyone wishing to come to Dunhuang seeking reasonable and quality accommodation to stay here.

The staff member Chen Lingling contacted us two days before check-in and was very considerate to help arrange the airport shuttle and communicate the details of check-in. After check-in, the room service Yang Xiufen also reminded us to eat every day and arranged room service every night, which was very attentive and thoughtful. Although the hotel facilities are not very new, the rooms are spacious and the service is warm, which is also a plus. In addition, the beef noodles for breakfast are very delicious. My friend eats two bowls every morning. I prefer flower rolls and braised beef

The hotel location is excellent and not so far for Mogaocave, the dunhuang night market, Mingsha Mountains..
The hotel room is super clean, wide, and has comfy.beds.
Also, the hotel provided everything necessary
Especially the hotel staff are very friendly and responsible for guests.
We stayed there for 3 nights 4 days and the staff always helped us for traveling.
They called a taxi for us to travel to tourist spots
Even if they don't speak English , we communicate by translation application on the phone.
They also bring us to pharmacy and supermarket.
How they are wonderful and thankful.
If we go there again, we will definitely stay there again.
I traveled all over the world for 20 years, but I never met like the hotel and staff.
Totally never forgetable hotel and staff.

GGuest UserIt was my first time to Dunhuang. I looked up the hotel online in advance and heard that Dunhuang Wansheng International Hotel was good. After arriving at the hotel, I found that the front desk was very enthusiastic and the room was very cozy. The key is that the hotel has a large parking lot, which is very friendly for friends who drive by themselves! The hotel is in a good location, whether it is eating, shopping or visiting the night market, it is very convenient. Like Dunhuang Wansheng International Hotel 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

BBerrrrrrrrrWe got free upgrade to the suite so that was nice. Very pretty river view and not as noisy as some of the reviews I've read. Probably because the weather was getting chilly.
Room was very spacious, even for just the size of the bedroom alone. Bed was comfortable and not too soft. But I will say that the light switches in the rooms and also the smart toilet seat were very confusing. Strangely, it had a large bathtub area, but a separate and very squished shower closet. The water didn't quite drain properly also.
Breakfast was okay. But considering how the city really is just a town in the desert, I'd say it's actually pretty good. The local restaurants are also options, but we had to get up super early for day trips, and didn't feel like freezing outside to look for food when it's still dark. Side note, the night market in town is nice but not much going on outside of that area.
The hotel is not in the city centre, but since the city is small, taxi is the way to go. We actually end up just getting the phone number of one of the taxi driver, and called her whenever we planned to head out.
I chose the hotel based on aesthetics and was not disappointed. But our suite was in the end of a very long hallway, so get ready to walk if you are not near the elevator.

EemdethuongThis hotel accepts foreigners. Location is not far from Dunhuang night market. Reception is nice and welcoming although they did not speak english. Translation app will do just fine. 100rmb deposit at check-in and they will give you back at check-out if everything is fine. Room is small, quite old and basic. Smoking is allowed inside hotel floors so it felt really suffocationg. The faucet in the bathroom did not give hot water, only the shower did. The only thing I don’t like is the AC (also heater) emitted kind of a burning smell which made the room suffocated. I turned on for a while and turned off in order to sleep safely.
