"Hotel rooms are clean. If travel with elderly, it is recommended to take their shuttle bus from the main street to the hotel. There is a big public hotspring area with different types of hotspring pools to choose from. Also a private pool for hotel guests only. Our family had a really good time staying in this hotel."

Amazing
WWeilingdunliuyongI booked this hotel because it was touted as one of Asia's top 100 onsen hotels for 2025. However, apart from the hot springs being decent, every other aspect of the service was a massive letdown. To begin with, both the kaiseki dinner and the breakfast the following day were truly subpar. The room was dreadfully small. Furthermore, despite inquiring about kimonos (as there were none in the room) with both the front desk manager and a server, who assured us they would send them up shortly and even took our sizes, not a single kimono materialized by the time we checked out the next day. We paid over 7,000 RMB for a family tatami room for four, including breakfast and dinner. At this price point, anyone staying here is simply getting ripped off. There will absolutely not be a second visit, and I also sensed a certain unfriendliness towards Chinese guests.

RRubenWe had an amazing stay at Arimasansoh Goshobessho! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, with a warm and friendly welcome. The hotel & rooms itself are incredibly comfy and cozy, with a warm, intimate atmosphere and a delightful wood scent that adds to its charm.
The amenities were excellent, and every detail was thoughtfully prepared to ensure a relaxing experience. The breakfast was delicious and exceeded our expectations (very good French toast, and onion soup) such a great way to start the day!
A special thank-you to the hotel staff for their kindness and efficiency in returning the Apple Watch we accidentally left behind—it was much appreciated!
Highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and memorable getaway.

KKURIRI123The experience is very good and the city center is very close. The beach is right in front of you. The massage hot spring has a very soothing effect. The Kobe Tower is right in front of you. Going to the department store for shopping is also a few minutes away by taxi. I will book here next time I come to Kobe
AAmberོThis is my second visit. Both breakfast and dinner were exquisite traditional Japanese Kaiseki cuisine. The hot springs (onsen) were a definite highlight, featuring both the unique 'Golden Spring' (Kinsen) and 'Silver Spring' (Ginsen). The ambiance was very pleasant, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. I'll certainly be returning and will highly recommend it to all my friends.

Great
GGuest UserThis is quite a traditional onsen hotel, featuring both 'Gold' and 'Silver' springs. Our one-night stay for five people, including two meals, cost a total of 5000 RMB, and we were quite happy with the value. Upon arriving at Arima Station by bus, you can call the hotel for a pick-up service. Check-in is at 3 PM, leaving plenty of time to explore the small town afterwards, but be aware that most shops close by 5 PM. The Kaiseki dinner wasn't particularly impressive, but it was definitely filling.

GGuest UserFirst off, this location is a bit out of the way, if you intend to stay close to the downtown...you have to take the ”Portliner” a few stops.
No issue for me, but did not realize this when I booked.
I chose it because of the onsen / sauna, and I was very satisfied: this was the best sauna / cold tub I had in Japan (so far).
Was hotter (and colder) than anything else. The actual hot-tub was good too, but I focus on sauna > cold tub cycles more than anything.
Rooms are new and look good, if not a bit small. As expected.
Stay for a night if you are on the fence...use the onsen...have a coffee-milk afterwards. You'll feel great.
Rooftoop bar / restaurant was nice as well and very friendly staff!
NNote11thaiGreat location, just opposite to the Kobe station. We can walk from the station to the hotel by underground shopping walk. It's especially good during the rain that we don't have to get wet. Also there's a shopping complex and harbour land for those who come with kids. 2 super market and mall at the station.
10-15 minutes walk to Kobe tower or to overlook the Kobe port. 20 minutes or so to go to Taira no Kiyomori statue.
The room is a bit old, but big enough for us to open luggages. Bathroom has amenities which we don't need to ask for like other hotel. Overall I think it's worth money. If I have a chance, I will come and stay again.
GGuest UserNice open air bath. In the evening there was no one there, it was private. Closed onsen with 4 baths - golden and silver water of Arima, jacuzzi and cold plunge pool. A bit dark. When at 6 am everyone started coming at once, there was barely enough room.
The breakfast is hearty. Very tasty curry.
The bed is comfortable, the mattress is not soft, but not stone either. The blanket is warm, not hot. View from the window. In the room 2 liters of water in a heated kettle. There is a share of tea and coffee. Excellent hotel for its price. And also close to the place on the river where in June there should be fireflies)

CCamilla TamI booked this place at the last minute as we wanted to extend our stay in Arima Onsen by one night and most hotels were fully-booked. I searched on *********** but couldn't find any suitable accomodation so thought to try Trip.com. This hotel came up only on this site and I was delighted to find it. At first I was concerned by the lack of reviews, but all the reviews were good and the room looked ideal for a family of four; 2 western beds and 2 tatami beds, with spacious living area and separate bathroom and toilet. It was really great value for money. The size of the room was very generous, and the facilities were great. We made use of the Onsen baths and the table tennis room during our stay. None of the staff spoke english but this wasn't an issue as they were all adept at using google translate. The location is also fine - it is situated between the town and the ropeway, so it is easy walking distance to each, which was very useful since they dont offer any shuttle service. All in all I would reccomend it for a short stay in Arima onsen as it is really good value for money.

22017weisuomeinvThe location is relatively hidden, but those who like quiet will be delighted. It is not very friendly to those with large suitcases because they have to climb the stairs. There is a winding courtyard at the entrance, which makes people relax. The hotel is located next to the hot spring temple.
My room is on the underground first floor. The weather is very cold, the corridor is not warm enough, and the heating system of the room is also generally expected to be upgraded. There is a very loud and low-powered heater and a stove for heating. The bathroom is particularly cold because it cannot be heated. The design and hardware materials of the bathroom are simple, generous and upscale. The room is a classic tatami, which is OK for two people to sleep. It’s just that the public area of the room is a little narrow and the suitcases are just full when spread out. The rooms in Japan are not big, so you need to get used to it.
I forgot whether the receptionist was from Fujian or Taiwan. The service was super good and considerate. She spoke softly and gave the most pleasant enjoyment to the whole journey. She would give a lot of travel suggestions and answer every question. It is not an exaggeration to say that this store has a soul because of this lady.
