Hands down best stay so far during my 15 days in Japan and the service is really immaculate. I've been to Japan on several solo trips and this is easily one of the most memorable hotels. The staff are really nice and the hotel room view is incredible. The room they upgraded me to speaks for itself, beautiful bathroom and really good amenities. Although the hotel is situated off the mainland, there is a portliner rail service and also a complementary shuttle service to two of the main stations in Kobe city area. Really value for money.

When i arrived with my friend, we were greeted warmly at the entrance and were explained everything at the front desk. After the check in, the Lady showed and explained to us the common rooms as well as the bath. Rooms were very good. The cafe area is also very good. Well i can go on forever like that. Long story short i very much recommend this Hotel, especially for couples. Just the price makes it not possible to come here more frequently^^. They have a shuttle service as well, even so the station is just 5 minute walk from the ryokan. But i guess for elderly people or people with heavy luggage that might be a help. The breakfast was great, with the ladys in Kimono explaining a bit and the view was superb. Most restaurants close in the evening, so we could see a lot of people storming the convenient stores^^. As for most of the Hotels: The staff is what makes the difference. And here i give them a special thanks. Very kind, friendly and helpful. I hope they will be there again when i come next time. improvement tipps: No lockers in one of the Onsen. Also the Phone had no description, so not even a japanese person know what number to dial -.- . Also for me personally i would like that the opening times for the cafe area is longer. It is so comfortable there^^.

We had a wonderful 1 night stay a few months ago before tourism opened back up. Highly recommend this place for people who are into more private, chill time. Loved the concept of this ryokan because instead of shared baths there were numerous choices of private baths throughout the property! Each needed to be booked in advance for a 45 minute session. They had an online reservation system but I think it was only in Japanese (my husband's native language) so I can't comment on that. Our room was fantastic; modern and huge, but still had charm. I think we were in Suite 13 which had its own private bath which you could open up the huge windows to a nice tranquil view of greenery. I liked that the entry had a super long hallway which helped with any noise (so quiet!). Personal touches such as selecting a complimentary gift (small drawstring bag) and fruit tray was noticed and appreciated. They were also very helpful to find us a restaurant to eat dinner at on a Sunday night (since we opted to not have the course dinner) - it was a delightful local meal ran by a married couple! I wish I remembered the name but it was izakaya home cooking style and so delicious. The breakfast on property was AWESOME. I opted to get the Western Style and my husband the Japanese. Such presentation and variety and a perfect start to our day. We would definitely be back to visit this place. They made us feel very welcome and relaxed! Arigatou gozaimasu *bow*

It’s my second time to visit this hot spring resort. I had good time again. It’s great service as my first time experience. I had the 精進料理 for dinner. The waitress told me the name of the vegetable ,how did the chief cook it and what’s the benefit of my healthy.I really enjoy my birthday vegan dinner. There are two rooms and one yard next to my private bath room. I can see the bird in the yard and enjoy my bath in the room. Great staff , Nice room and definitely will come back again.

The hotel is comfortable and clean. There is a hot spring on the top floor, as well as ice bars, coffee and Yakult. In addition, there is a self-service washing machine and coin-operated clothes dryer. The bathroom in the room has a bit of a peculiar smell. It would be better if toilet deodorizers could be provided/placed.

KKI-NRTArima Onsen town is a stone's throw away from both Osaka and Kobe, which is likely one reason that hotels and ryokans can charge such high rates there. Being at the upper end of the pricing echelon, Arimasansoh Goshobessho's room rates can't be considered good value. Still, we decided to spend a two-night getaway there in spite of that. Sticker shock notwithstanding, we feel that Arimasansoh can be considered among the nicer small properties that Japan has to offer. Arimasansoh is nestled at the end of a long strip of hotels in the Arima Onsen town - it's really quaint, but still within walking distance to the main tourist areas. The property is charming, and the buildings and villas blend in nicely to the calming environment that is full of trees, ponds and other pretty vegetation. Stepping into the grounds for the first time will instantly reduce your blood pressure - it's that soothing of a place. Service is refined, if a bit formal; we could tell they've all been comprehensively trained in Japanese hospitality. Given the clientele that stays there, being discreet and unobtrusive is probably appropriate. The sprawling hotel grounds are divided into two distinct sections. On the lower hillside along the banks of a river are the two-storey Maisonette rooms. We weren't able to tour this room type, but at first glance they seemed quite close together - sort of townhouse style. Further up the hill (near the reception area and the public onsen baths) are the one-storey Villa Suites, which is the room type that we stayed at. Our room was absolutely gigantic, and felt more spacious than the published size (for what it's worth, both the Maisonette and Villa Suites are listed as 100m².) There's an enormous living room as well as a large bedroom, along with a small balcony with views across the ravine. The Villas also have a bathroom the size of many hotel rooms. It comes complete with dual vanities, a sauna as well as a private Onsen (hot springs) bath. Further adding to the sense of massive space is the extremely high vaulted ceilings. Aesthetically speaking, the dark wood and dark brown furnishings were a bit on the dark side (for our tastes); the lighting was barely sufficient to prevent the room from exhibiting a gloomy feel - but just barely. The Onsen bath is nice; however, it's not of the free-flowing variety... it's empty and you fill the tub with the Onsen water by turning on the bath tap, just as you would a regular bath. It wouldn't be a problem but for the fact that the water trickles out at a glacial pace. We literally had to let the water run for over 30 minutes before the tub was filled up halfway. Arimasansoh also offers a communal Onsen bath area, one each for women and men. As was the case with the Onsen in the Villa, the water is unique in that it's brackish brown in color. And, you can really smell the sulfur. Arima Onsen is renowned for the (alleged) healing powers of its mineral hot springs; whether you believe it or

GGuest UserThe nice appearance inside and outside the building is in other word of mouth, so there is little information about the bath 々. The bath here is directly connected to the Goshobo source, and you can enjoy fresh hot springs more than the head family's Goshobo. There are two private baths like a slightly larger family bath, and it is a system that can be used at any time if it is free without reservation. Since you can use the large communal bath of Goshobo for a certain time in the evening, everyone seems to be going there, and both of these baths were monopolized and unlimited from afternoon to night. It is a perfect inn for hot springs, but it is a little expensive for long stays. I have to cut 10,000 yen without meals for one night.

GGuest UserIt was a very convenient hotel for exploring the hot spring town, about a 2-minute walk from Arima Onsen Station. There were many sofas in the lobby and many customers were relaxing. The room was large and clean, and the window overlooked the number of Arima Onsen 々 hotels. I stayed for 2 nights, but the first day was Kobe beef shabu-shabu, and the second day was Kobe beef sukiyaki, and even if Kobe beef came out, it was about 3 〜 4 cuts? I thought, but I was very satisfied because there were a lot of Kobe beef in it. The food was very beautiful and there were so many that I couldn't eat it. I'm sorry I couldn't finish eating. My elderly mother said, ”The vessel is nice,” so I think she is probably particular about the vessel. I felt that the service education was also well done so that the staff were not able to drop the quality of the long-established hotel by only 々. Especially, I was impressed by the young and cute Nakai-san. The hot springs were warm with both Kinsen and Ginsen. There are amenities such as lotion in the dressing room, so if you bring only face towels, it was OK and easy.

GGuest UserI went by car. The parking lot is opposite the multi-storey car park and the inn. It may be a little small if you go by large car. The parking lot on the day of stay can be parked after 10 am. I checked in at 15:00, but I arrived early because it was crowded the day before the Arima Onsen holiday. After taking a walk, I returned to the inn at 14:00. From there, I was allowed to wait for an hour at the front desk. 10 minutes ago, the male staff explained the facilities and emergency exits in the building while saying an extra word that it was a little early. If you are an inn like this, you will serve welcome tea and sweets and entertain you at first, but it may be a shortage of labor. The room had an open-air bath. I was satisfied with the massage chair, but unlike the image I saw in advance, the sheets were laid on the mattress. Did you miss the futon? It was so thin. For dinner, he offered beef and sashimi close to the edge, probably because he was conscious of profitability. The white rice is not sharpened well or it is scalded. The soup stock tastes like the second soup stock, probably because it was taken wrong. When I was sleeping early in the morning, I woke up with the loud sound of dropping the plate in preparation for breakfast. For breakfast, the squid sashimi was messed up, probably because I dropped the plate. He gave it to me without putting it in the envelope at check-out. Thank you very much. No word. I didn't help carry my luggage even though there were three people at the entrance. The family next door was helping me pretending to be unseeing. Older women have high customer service capabilities, and young women have the lowest customer service capabilities. I felt that tradition was obsolete in this way. Arima has other good inns. The inn that cannot be multiplied by hot springs, food and customer service is the worst. I was disappointed.

GGuest UserIt is not surprising that ”ginsen” is everywhere, but ”ginsen” is not so easy. It was originally said that it would spring only from the spring source in the limited area of the north of Mt. Atago, and I thought the height was pumped up. I heard that there are many new spring sources now. Because this is ”Atago Yama Izumi source”, is it ”shoba Yama Izumi source” that can be seen behind the condominium? Jinsen is a thick hot water, and maintenance seems to be difficult everywhere. I look for an inn because the day trip hot water is already troublesome. Arima can be luxurious because the rich people of keihanshin gather. Is the inn of Kanpo one standard for cooking? When you look at the list page of the inn of the Arima Onsen Tourism Association HP, it is often displayed as ”one person travel OK”, but it does not appear in the HP plan of the inn. It is not understood considering the management of the inn. I want 2 food because the sashimi and pot materials on the table are not different. It is not old but not new. It is a building of the times, and it is convenient to be able to stay at the price for traveling alone. It seems that the management mother body will change from April. I hope it will be more convenient.

GGuest UserThis onsen hotel is well located within 5 mins walk from the bus and train stations. The only challenge we encountered was pulling the luggage up the slope leading to the hotel. The hotel has a modern feel but with traditional settings and services. The room we had was ample for us. While the breakfast was a standard buffet style meal, the kaiseki dinner was fantastic. We had different food and selection for the two dinners we had there. The onsen was great with different pools with different minerals both indoors and outdoors. I only tried the onsen which is opened to the public and I am thoroughly happy with them. There are also saunas in the same area. There is a smaller onsen only for hotel guests but are open only for selected hours. We took a day trip to Kobe city and although there are a couple of changes of trains we have to make, it was rather effortless. Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel, its room, food and location.

GGuest UserI stayed because it was convenient because it was close to the Meriken Park venue in Kobe Luminarier. I was confused by the elevator on the first floor. The lobby was decorated with rope, and I felt like a port town. I thought the room on the 12th floor was easy to use as a clutter. I have everything I need. The large communal bath on the 3rd floor was more than expected because there were various types such as Yakujinyu, Kurokawa Onsen hot spring, calcium bipolar carbonate hot spring, and sauna. I enjoyed taking a bath in the evening and morning. There are no reasonable restaurants in the area, so I went to Nanjing Town after visiting Luminarier. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.
GGuest UserThere are five small open-air baths that you can reserve.
The two that seem to be located in the mountains outside are especially popular.
The other three are also semi-outdoor, so you can enjoy the scenery without feeling stuffy.
What was good about this place is that you can usually reserve a private room and use it once, but here, you can reserve twice for dinner and breakfast, so you can enjoy it once outdoors and once semi-outdoor.
Meals are eaten in the restaurant, but they are prepared separately in a private room. Of course, the rooms are not all closed off, so you can hear the sounds from the next room, but you can eat comfortably without worrying about others.
It is a single bed, but I was able to rest comfortably without any discomfort, and it was nice that there was a massage chair on each floor.
I definitely want to visit again next time I go to the Kansai region.

Very Good
I decided to spend my milestone birthday at Arima Onsen and made a reservation through the airline website I use. I was also pleased with the friendly service of the front desk. At dinner, I was given a free drink as a birthday present, and the course meal was served at a good timing and with good quality, so I was very satisfied with the meal. The large bath (7 washstands) was not particularly large, but it had a gold spring, a silver spring, and a sauna, so I spent a relaxing time in these three places. Before breakfast, I enjoyed a 30-40 minute walk from the Arima River Waterfront Square to Taiko Bridge, Nene Bridge, Yukemuri Square, and Kamenoo Falls. The friendly service of the inn in everything, and the night view of Arima Onsen Station, which I could see below from my room, and the lights of Arima scattered in the distance, were also memorable. However, it was unfortunate that I was unable to use the open-air bath due to a malfunction of the facilities. That's why I gave it an overall rating of 4, but it's closer to 5. The title ”Once again” expresses my desire to go to the open-air bath next time. Thank you for your hospitality.
