"The hotel is ideally situated between Sannomiya and Motomachi Stations, making both easily accessible on foot. It's right on a shopping street and surrounded by many convenience stores, making the location superb. While the room was a bit small overall, the bathroom was quite spacious, and the wet/dry separation was a huge plus. The rooms are well-appointed and felt very clean. The lobby offers self-service amenities like skincare products and tea bags. There's also a self-service laundry room on the 10th floor where you can wash a good amount of clothes for just 600 JPY – perfect for families on vacation. The staff are fluent in English and highly professional. Both check-in and check-out are self-service, which is very convenient. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Kobe."

"The hotel is a bit far from Sannomiya Station; you need to take a few train stops to get there, but it's very close to the nearest station. The room was spacious and the hygiene conditions were decent. The service was excellent. The hotel is divided into the Main Building and the South Building. I stayed in the Main Building this time, and I felt the facilities were a bit old. There's a FamilyMart convenience store and a few other shops on the first floor, which is convenient if you need to buy anything. The bathtub isn't fully enclosed, so water splashes out when you shower."

"Almost a perfect stay. First off, having a 12 PM checkout in Japan is already a huge plus. We arrived around 8 PM the night before, and the front desk staff were still in great spirits. The room was quite spacious for Japanese standards, and the view from the window was absolutely stunning, with the night view being even more captivating than during the day.
The only slight downside was the breakfast; for 3800 JPY per person, the selection wasn't very extensive, though the taste was decent enough."

"This time, for my 7-day, 8-night Kansai trip, I chose the Royal Park Canvas Kobe Sannomiya for my two nights in Kobe. The price difference between staying on a weekend and a weekday was quite significant, costing just over 1,000 yen per night.
Check-in was self-service at a machine, with English-speaking staff available to assist. Disposable toothbrushes and cotton pads were provided on the side.
The room facilities were all new. The two large beds combined with a smaller one made for a comfortable sleep. There's a shower and a bathtub, and my child was absolutely thrilled after buying bath bombs from the Don Quijote across the street and enjoying a little bath.
I asked the staff at the front desk and was told there's free bottled water available, and even ice cream after 8 PM. However, you're not allowed to bring out and drink alcohol from outside; you'll be stopped if you do.
The hotel is right across from a Don Quijote (pharmacy/discount store). Must-try Kobe beef, Gashoken ramen, Daimaru department store, and an outdoor shopping street with brands like Arc'teryx, Patagonia, and Montbell are all within walking distance. "The service was a little short of. I read reviews that they are very friendly but i felt that it’s not like this. I felt they were very curt in the way they speak and look tired. Nonetheless, the location was good. Just right at the side of the Chinatown. The hotel is very budget not matching to its price, considering that I’ve been to 4 hotels during my stay. The lights goes off quickly at the foyer. The water flow was small. But it’s ok, it’s eco-friendly i guess. The miso soup at breakfast was the yummiest. The carpark was expensive and they will charge you if you arrive early or leave the car at their carpark accordingly after the check in and out hours. This is understandable but this is where the hotel lost some sense of touch here."

"Our twin room was impressively spacious, offering significantly more comfort and room than similarly priced hotels in Kyoto and Osaka. We appreciated the convenience of not needing a key card for elevator access or to activate the room's electricity. We had turned off the AC before leaving, but after cleaning, the staff kindly turned it back on, ensuring we returned to a delightfully cool room. The bathroom featured excellent wet/dry separation, and the bright lighting was perfect for the vanity mirror. The only minor drawback was the somewhat slow WiFi, but it was still acceptable. This 3-star hotel truly provides fantastic value for money! Additionally, the front desk staff spoke very fluent English."

AAndrea ElijhaOverall, the experience was pleasant, with the only minor drawback being the price, which was a bit steep. While I had hoped for a more traditional Japanese garden and architecture, the hotel itself leans towards a modern Japanese aesthetic.
Visiting in summer, gazing at the lush green mountains through the window truly feels like a picturesque framed view, and the hot springs were wonderfully rejuvenating. However, I suspect autumn would be the most opportune time to visit, to witness the mountains ablaze with crimson foliage (assuming the trees aren't evergreen).
A misunderstanding arose at check-out due to unclear communication regarding payment policies between the booking platform, the hotel, and myself. The hotel insisted they had not received the online payment and demanded offline payment for a range of services, including breakfast, dinner, taxes, accommodation, and private onsen. As a customer, I initially thought I was being double-charged, as I had already made a payment online. The total cost for the two-day stay was approximately 221,110 JPY, which converts to roughly 11,000 HKD or CNY.
Upon immediately contacting Trip.com's customer service, they confirmed that our online payment covered both accommodation and meals, and advised that the hotel's demand for offline payment for these items was contentious and unnecessary. It was only later clarified that the payment made on Trip.com was merely a hold to secure the room and would be fully refunded upon check-out.

MMeowVanThe service was impeccable. The staff were very friendly and generally able to communicate in English. Their service is so good that they wipe down all your luggage upon arrival at the hotel, and my bags came out cleaner than when I came!
The food also left us speechless. I’ve never tasted such a delicious meal, and I consider myself a foodie. The dishes were prepared fresh right in front of us. Every detail was attended to, from presentation to taste. It deserves a 100% without a doubt. Since I had a food allergy, they were careful to leave out the allergen in all the foods. I was really thankful for that, because it’s not always a given at Asian restaurants.
The establishment itself is dated, but that’s why we chose it in the first place- to feel the aura of tradition. Having said that though, it was slightly inconvenient that there was no shower inside our room. However, it wasn’t too much of a problem because the shared shower/onsen room was just a short distance from our room, and it was generally not occupied. When we stayed there, there was a storm going on, so the the rain crashing on the window and the outside blinds gave off a spooky feeling, which added to the sense of adventure.

Our one-night stay for five people, including two meals, cost a total of 5000 RMB, and we were quite happy with the value. Upon arriving at Arima Station by bus, you can call the hotel for a pick-up service. Check-in is at 3 PM, leaving plenty of time to explore the small town afterwards, but be aware that most shops close by 5 PM. The Kaiseki dinner wasn't particularly impressive, but it was definitely filling.

LLucky101I recently stayed at the Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei Hotel during my visit to the Kobe Exhibition, and I must say it was an excellent choice. The location is ideal, just a 15-minute subway ride to the exhibition center, with a direct line making the journey straightforward and hassle-free.
The hotel's proximity to the subway is a major plus, offering seamless travel around the city. Notably, there's only one line change required to get to Osaka, making it convenient for day trips or additional business meetings.
Surrounding the hotel, you'll find a plethora of restaurants catering to all tastes, ensuring you won't go hungry. Additionally, there's a massage center nearby, perfect for relaxing after a long day of activities. For those traveling by night buses, the station is conveniently close, making late-night travel plans easy to manage.
While the hotel amenities were generally good, I did miss the availability of free coffee, which would have been a nice touch. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise excellent stay.

We get a new white sheet upon check in. There's a thin full body mirror, small rack for suitcases and personal belongings, but if you need to, there's also safe box near staff room. The female dorm room is on the 2nd floor, next to the shared kitchen so you can kinda hear other guests cooking or working on their laptop with the wifi. You can have your coffe, tea, cup ramen and even light cooking is allowed as they provided the pans, and also some seasonings. The sink and the toilet is next to it, hairdryers are available and the toilet has bidet seat.
The shower room are on the b1f floor, which a little bit of hassle because you have to pass the staff room everytime. You can wash & dry you clothes too in the utility room next to it, but I dont know if they charge or not. Another kitchen and TV room is also here. Rental towels, bath robe, one time use shaver are also available.
Over all a pleasant place if you only looking to for a place to sleep, and wash your self. It's 5 minutes walk from Oishi station. There's a small river near too which also a nice place for a small walk.

Meals are between 350 and 600 per person, which is pretty good. Breakfast is more than 100 per person, which is quite cost-effective.
The front desk can communicate in English or a translator depending on the personnel situation, and the service attitude is very good.
There was a foreign waiter in the restaurant who said he was learning English, but his English was actually very good.
There were no reviews when booking, so it was a successful adventure.
