I had an absolutely perfect holiday at Banyan Tree Sanya during the Mid-Autumn Festival. A special mention goes to the hotel for thoughtfully preparing a birthday cake for my companion on our first day, which was a wonderful surprise for everyone. On our departure day, knowing we had a late flight, the front desk proactively extended our check-out time to 1:30 PM, allowing us to relax and refresh without the rush and pressure of catching our flight. The entire trip was peaceful and comfortable, with exceptionally meticulous service that truly showed Banyan Tree Sanya's dedication. I'd like to extend a special thank you to Sun, a staff member at Banyan Tree Sanya. During our stay, Sun was enthusiastic, thoughtful, and responsive. From the birthday decorations to coordinating our check-out, everything was handled perfectly, making us feel incredibly well cared for. It's because of excellent staff like Sun that our Mid-Autumn trip was so fulfilling and memorable. The next time I visit Sanya, I will definitely choose Banyan Tree Sanya again and highly recommend it to my friends and family!

The hotel itself is actually very good, no complaints here. The hygiene and environment are both fine, assuming you can accept the quirks of this peculiar town. Now, let me rant. First off, I absolutely do not recommend Tianya Town. It's a very strange place. If you're driving, you have to park your car in a pitch-black parking lot. This 'parking lot' is just an open dirt lot, gravel ground, with no charging stations whatsoever. Secondly, after leaving the parking lot, it's impossible to find the sightseeing shuttle stop, especially at night, as there are no clear signs. Thirdly, entering the town requires taking a sightseeing shuttle, which costs 6 CNY per person per ride, and 7 CNY at night. The收款单位 is Sanya Tianya Town Tourism Investment Co., Ltd. The B&B is extremely far from the shuttle stop, and you can't walk there. All the paths are winding, narrow alleyways, and it's heavily commercialized. They deliberately make you take the shuttle here. You have to take it for both entry and exit, meaning it's at least 12 CNY per person.

The environment is very good. My family is very satisfied. The room is large and clean. The community environment is also very good. It is only a 10-minute walk from the beach, which is very convenient. The living facilities in the room are complete and suitable for living. There is a swimming pool outside the house. The scenery is very good. The surrounding transportation is also very convenient. It is very comfortable to live~

This place is super convenient, whether you're driving or taking a taxi. The owner offers pick-up, and it's also easy to get around on foot once you're here. It's located in a villa community with a three-bedroom, two-bathroom setup, plus a kitchen and living room – just like a real home. The rooms are clean and tidy, perfect for families or a group of friends. If you stay for a few days, you can truly experience living like a local; you can even buy groceries and cook. The price is fair, and they offer one free drop-off daily within a 6km radius, which is super handy as taxis only take 1-3 minutes. Honestly, I found it even more convenient than driving. You can also rent electric scooters for getting around. The pictures were taken when I left, but it was even tidier upon check-in. The 500 deposit was returned promptly after check-out.

Traveling to Sanya with a 9-month-old baby, choosing a hotel was a dilemma. Everyone recommended Tianyu in Yalong Bay, but I felt my child was too young to enjoy many of the facilities, so it wouldn't be worth it. I searched on Ctrip and found this family-themed room. It was very spacious for three people, and the hotel facilities were excellent, with a playground, an infinity pool, and paddleboarding. It truly exceeded our expectations when we arrived. There's also live entertainment, and ordering takeout is very convenient. It's a bit of a walk to the beach; for young children, I'd recommend bringing a stroller and a hip seat. The evenings in September were cool and breezy. If it weren't for another hotel's non-refundable policy, I would have loved to extend our stay for another night. The MGM Grand Sanya hotel was the last of our six hotels from our trip to China. We booked the Corona Sunset Sea-view Suite - Extra-large Ocean View Terrace via trip.com. This spacious two-room suite is 130 sq m with a large 100 sq m terrace. At reception we were immediately connected on WeChat to Sheldon, a butler who speaks excellent English and some Russian. The suite, with large floor-to-ceiling windows, is fully equipped: a capsule coffee machine, a hairdryer, an ironing board, an iron, fully automatic toilets (two in our room), slippers, robes for adults and children, and toiletries, including baby toiletries. We were especially pleased with the large live indoor flowers in the room. There is a minibar. Along the entire transparent terrace railing, on the left and right, there are fresh flowers with cute blue blossoms, which creates an additional cozy atmosphere: The terrace has sun loungers, a large table with chairs, and a small table with armchairs. There's also a clothes dryer, which is very convenient. The terrace offers a beautiful view of the sea and the hotel grounds. We recommend booking this room or villa, as breakfast in these room types is served in a restaurant next to the beach overlooking the sea. This restaurant offers both a buffet and an à la carte menu. Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent. There weren't many guests at breakfast in this restaurant. We also had breakfast in the main restaurant, but we really enjoyed the breakfast and service in this restaurant near the beach. The sea was excellent; there were some waves, but we swam. There were always sun loungers available by the sea. The hotel is large, with many children. Generally, the hotel is geared toward families with children, as there are plenty of activities for children. Some might find it noisy, but our room with a terrace was peaceful and quiet. Our booking package included a photo shoot, and we loved the photos – they were truly professional and beautiful. We want to say a big thank you to our butler, Sheldon, who was always available, answered all our questions, and made our stay even more comfortable. Upon check-in we encountered several cleaning issues, which Sheldon promptly resolved, for which we are very grateful. We have only positive impressions from my stay at this hotel!

I stayed here for three days this time. Every year for National Day, I choose Sanya to relax, but this time I decided to stay in Yalong Bay instead of Haitang Bay. I was pretty lazy and didn't explore much. The villa's privacy, which is the most important aspect, was good. Day 1: Arrived very late from Ningbo. Housekeeper Cici arranged for a photography light to illuminate the courtyard. Day 2: I had the 'do not disturb' button on in the bedroom at night, but then pressed 'please make up room' when I left, which caused a misunderstanding and no one came to clean. The team was very apologetic, came immediately to clean and replenish toiletries, and even gave us 8 bottles of water. I could feel their effort to provide good service, especially since prices surge during National Day, haha. Day 3: My flight back to Ningbo was in the evening, and they gave us a 2 PM late check-out, which was great! The 2 PM check-out gave us just enough time for a massage to fill the schedule. PS: I tried the complimentary floating afternoon tea and the evening 'tipsy' experience – both were decent. I didn't try the travel photography as I don't like taking pictures, haha. Overall, as someone who just wanted to relax, I was satisfied.

After looking at several hotels in Yalong Bay, I chose the Mangrove Tree Resort for its relatively good value for money. I had seen quite a few negative reviews on Xiaohongshu and other apps, but it seems every hotel has them, so I came prepared. As an older hotel, the room types and facilities are a bit dated, but I found it acceptable upon arrival. We arrived late, and the front desk upgraded our room. Overall, the experience was decent. There were plenty of loungers on the beach, and it was quite comfortable whether swimming in the sea or just relaxing in a chair and enjoying the view. Breakfast was unremarkable, despite seemingly having a wide variety. The Thai restaurant that's often recommended online isn't really worth it, but if you can't find anything else good, you might give it a try. The staff were very good and always tried their best to resolve any issues. Also, there are indeed a lot of Russians here. I especially loved the little elephant made from towels on the bed. 🥰

The decor is a bit old-fashioned, and the shower drain in the room was clogged. The bedding felt damp, but the cleaning lady was excellent. Seeing that there were four of us, and worried that the two beds might be too small, she kindly brought an extra comforter and suggested the sofa could also be used for sleeping. I'd say this hotel is mostly frequented by foreigners; I almost felt like I was abroad myself! The front desk staff was also very good. I had originally booked two nights, but after checking in, I wanted to cancel one night, and they agreed without any hassle.

After reading many reviews, I chose this hotel, and my overall experience was excellent. The front desk staff, other employees, and the concierge were all warm, thoughtful, and incredibly responsive to every request. The hotel is clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and the breakfast spread is rich. It's also convenient to order food delivery. The front desk gave me a high-floor room with a fantastic view; I could see the sea right from the window. On a clear day, I could even catch a stunning sunset from the balcony. Evening strolls by the sea were lovely, with the sea breeze and the sound of the waves being very therapeutic. For my vacation next year, I'll definitely be back to this hotel to relax by the sea.
