I've stayed at several InterContinental hotels in recent years, so let's start with what I liked about this one: the rooms are spacious, the balconies are large, and the facilities are well-maintained. All the staff I encountered, including the front desk, restaurant servers, bellhops, executive lounge personnel, and even the cleaning staff, were very warm and polite. The breakfast buffet was also quite good, with prompt plate clearing and food replenishment. I'll definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.
Now, for some areas I think could be improved: As an InterContinental hotel, I find it unacceptable to use melamine bowls in the buffet restaurant. If it were a Holiday Inn, one of your sister brands, I could understand, but you're an InterContinental. Secondly, there's a distinct odor at the entrance to the kids' club. This is something you should learn from a certain hotel in Haitang Bay (like Haitang Bay Shangri-La). Your management team can go and take a breath there to understand. Another issue, which isn't unique to InterContinental but applies to many hotels in Haitang Bay, is having too many interns. While it's normal to have interns, their proportion shouldn't be excessive. As I mentioned before, you're an InterContinental, not a Hilton or a Sheraton.
One more thing I hope the hotel considers is encouraging guests to give honest feedback based on their true feelings, rather than implicitly or explicitly guiding them to review the hotel's service in a certain way. It's 2026, and we're in a digital age; mindsets need to change. This is for the hotel management. Don't you know that nowadays, overly high scores are often met with skepticism? People tend to trust ratings between 4.6 and 4.8. Please stop using these inflated scores to evaluate your staff.
Finally, I hope the executive lounge's offerings can be further enriched. It should feel like a proper meal, not just an afterthought.

This is my third stay at Banyan Tree this year, and I opted for the courtyard room this time. The courtyard accommodation is truly excellent, offering great privacy. Since we had a large group with many requests, I must once again commend the butler for their tireless assistance. They helped us confirm meal delivery times, departure times, and how to handle external deliveries. Honestly, there's nothing more to say – if I'm in Sanya, I'll definitely be coming back here!

Guest UserOpting for the Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay for our vacation in Sanya was a fantastic choice! The two-day stay completely boosted our happiness levels; it was comfortable and relaxing throughout. I especially want to commend our personal butler, Diana, whose professional and warm service genuinely changed my perception of hotel service.
Even before our arrival, Diana proactively reached out via WeChat. She meticulously confirmed our arrival time and travel needs, patiently explaining all the hotel benefits and offering tips for exploring the resort. Upon check-in, she learned we were on a family vacation and thoughtfully upgraded our room for free. Opening the door to our room was a pleasant surprise – it was spacious and tidy, the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the toiletries were complete, showing attention to detail everywhere.
Diana was always enthusiastic and appropriate in her interactions, and her responses to messages were consistently prompt and reliable. Whether we needed extra room amenities, wanted to reserve a pool spot, or sought directions to nearby duty-free shops and food streets, she provided clear and organized solutions with impeccable professionalism. Any small requests during our stay were promptly and properly handled. She struck the perfect balance, never being overly intrusive yet always appearing precisely when needed.
Beyond the service, the hotel's overall ambiance and facilities were outstanding. The grounds are surrounded by lush coconut groves and greenery, offering a relaxed island vibe with picturesque views at every turn. The three partitioned swimming pools were comfortably heated, with clearly designated adult quiet zones and children's play areas. A short stroll leads to the private beach, where watching the sunset with the sea breeze was incredibly therapeutic. The breakfast spread was rich and diverse, featuring Hainanese specialty noodles, Western pastries, and fresh fruit beverages, all delicious. The hotel also has direct access to the 68 Global Food Street, making dining and shopping very convenient. In our free time, we could also enjoy craft activities at the Kids' Club, making for a wonderfully lazy and comfortable vacation pace.
The only minor regret of this trip was that we left too early on our departure day and couldn't say goodbye to Diana in person. Afterward, she specifically messaged us, her tone reflecting a slight apology, explaining in detail why she couldn't see us off. This gentle and sincere gesture beautifully smoothed over that small imperfection, and she even sent us travel blessings. Her thoughtful approach made us feel incredibly warm.
A comfortable vacation is half due to the scenery and environment, and half due to the attentive service. Many thanks to Diana for her meticulous and thoughtful care throughout our stay. The Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay truly lives up to its reputation as a top choice for a Haitang Bay vacation. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip to Sanya, and we'll certainly be looking for Diana!

sxdddddOur overall stay exceeded expectations! The lobby has a refined ambiance, and the front desk staff were very pleasant. Check-in and check-out were efficient and hassle-free. The room was meticulously cleaned, with a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom and consistently hot water, plus all the necessary toiletries. The soundproofing was excellent, so it was very quiet at night. Downstairs, there's a convenient store and various restaurants, and getting a taxi was easy. Both cleanliness and service were top-notch. Highly recommended!

Vincci_NgThis was my first time staying at Atlantis Sanya, and the main reason for our visit was to celebrate my husband's birthday. I was drawn to the Atlantis' activities and facilities while searching for hotels in Sanya on Trip.com. Since I was busy with work, I didn't have much time to plan the itinerary. Luckily, after booking the hotel, I contacted them via email, and they kindly agreed to arrange a birthday cake to surprise my husband on his special day.
Atlantis also offers a very thoughtful service. I had pre-purchased tickets for the beluga underwater activity and the dolphin interaction program separately through their WeChat mini-program. Soon after, I received a call from an Atlantis staff member informing me that there was a package deal that included both activities at a significantly lower price. In the end, they helped me cancel my previous orders and process a refund so I could repurchase the package. I wholeheartedly recommend the beluga underwater activity. Andy and Tina, the star belugas, are gentle and a little playful. They interacted with us for a full 30 minutes. Opportunities to touch belugas are rare in a lifetime, and being able to kiss them too made the ticket price absolutely worth it!
The Ossiano underwater restaurant is also worth a try! As it was my husband's birthday dinner, we opted for a specific set menu. We enjoyed our meal right next to the large fish tank, watching the fish swim by. The price of their set menu is comparable to 'Omakase' in Hong Kong. If you have any dietary restrictions, they are happy to accommodate changes to the ingredients. Ossiano's ambiance, service, food quality, and portion sizes were all excellent. Both of us found every dish delicious, and at the end, the waiter thoughtfully brought us hot tea to help us digest.
Finally, I'd like to extend a special thank you to Ariel, our dedicated Atlantis hotel staff member. Throughout our 4-day, 3-night stay, she thoughtfully messaged us to see if we had any special needs. When she learned it was for my husband's birthday, she specifically arranged balloons and decorations, and even sent fruit and a birthday cake. These past few days, she was like a little assistant, quietly taking care of everything behind the scenes for me. She also helped me communicate with the restaurant and answered all my questions. I really appreciate all her help these past few days. 💕
If you're planning a trip to Sanya, Atlantis is truly an excellent choice. The price might not be cheap, but the room rate includes daily unlimited access to the aquarium and one daily entry to Aquaventure Waterpark per person. The cost of these tickets alone makes it a great value, whether you're a couple or a family with children!

Stayed at the Sheraton Yalong Bay for 1 night with my 10-year-old, and it definitely exceeded our expectations – a big thumbs up!
The highlight for my child was the pool. The kids' area has slides and paddleboards, and the water is clean and not too deep. She'd spend two to three hours in there every day and wouldn't want to leave. I'd just relax on a nearby sun lounger, sip on a coconut, and watch her play – it was so peaceful and enjoyable for me too.
The hotel's lawn and beach are truly beautiful. The lawn is large and very green, leading directly to the sea. In the evening, when it wasn't too hot, my child would run wild on the grass, and I'd slowly walk to the beach to feel the waves. The sand was incredibly fine, and the sea was blue; every photo I took looked great.
I have to specifically praise the seafood BBQ buffet dinner! The oysters, scallops, and prawns were all grilled fresh, and my daughter loved the oysters. There was also live music, creating a very relaxed atmosphere. My child swayed to the music, and we all had a wonderful time eating.
The service was also excellent. The front desk staff noticed we had a child and proactively offered kids' toothbrushes and slippers. The room was clean, making for a comfortable stay. All in all, we were very satisfied with this trip. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Sanya, and it offers good value for money. Highly recommended for families with kids!
Oh, and we were also very happy with the complimentary travel photoshoot! The retouched photos turned out really well.

WangyingI chose this hotel for a family trip. The craft workshops are excellent, both the free and paid ones, and the staff are very dedicated – kudos to them. The numerous pools are great for kids. There's a noodle place where the tomato and beef brisket noodles are delicious, with fresh hand-pulled noodles, though the noodle thickness could be improved; it's odd for a hotel of this caliber. The baking activity was also great, with ample ingredients. My first sandwich-making experience was good, the staff were very attentive, and it tasted nice. However, during the second session (cake making), I mentioned I was catching a flight and didn't need it packed, just cut to eat. To my surprise, they said there was no knife! How can a restaurant not have a knife? What did they use to cut the sandwiches yesterday? They insisted I pack it, so I ended up cutting it myself. I asked for a plate and fork, and it took ages for a response, even though they were right there on a nearby table, so I just grabbed them myself. I don't know what the staff were doing. Overall, it's a very good hotel, but this incident really put a damper on my mood.

Guest UserIt felt like the hotel mainly relied on the butler to fix issues, and the concierge service was decent, but everything else was just so-so.
When checking in, the front desk staff gave off a vibe like they couldn't care less if we stayed or not. I immediately wanted to leave a bad review, but the butler appeared just in time, so I held back.
Later, after I reported a strange smell in the room, the butler proactively arranged a room change. Around 10 PM, we moved to the new room and requested an extra child bed rail. Here's the key point – the attendant was a middle-aged woman. Seeing her age, I even helped her lift the mattress to install the bed rail, but she had a sour face the entire time. When she left after installing it, she even knocked the 'do not disturb' sign off the doorknob and didn't pick it up; I had to pick it up myself. Even worse, before she left, she blurted out, ”If you want to change again, there are no more rooms, alright?” I was baffled. You're just a room attendant, do you decide whether there are rooms available? Such disruptive comments only make guests feel your impatience and complaints, doing nothing to solve the problem, but instead escalating tensions.
As it turned out, the new room had other problems, and we were tired and couldn't be bothered to move again, so we just went back to our original room. Because of the room change hassle, the next morning we realized we were missing two sets of dental kits, one adult and one child. We called to have them delivered, and here's another key point – first, there was a ring, which we thought was the doorbell, but when we opened the door, no one was there. Then it rang a second time, and we realized it was the in-room phone. We answered and were told the dental kits had been delivered and left outside the door. We opened the door again only to find them simply placed on the ground. We were in the room; couldn't you have rung the doorbell and handed them to us? Or if you prefer to leave them at the door, fine, but these are items meant for our mouths! Even if they have an outer package, couldn't you at least put them in a basket or something? What's the deal with just putting them on the ground?!

ZhubuxuwanA slow-paced island getaway, where I found an abundance of warmth at the Mangrove. Strolling through the lush, shaded lawn by the sea, listening to the ocean's whispers was incredibly therapeutic. The rooftop helipad offered a unique viewing experience, providing a magnificent and romantic panoramic view of the azure bay from above. Our butler, Ella, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful, responding instantly to any requests during our stay and thoughtfully arranging a professional photoshoot to capture the beautiful scenery of our trip. The hotel's overall environment is clean and elegant, with excellent recreational facilities, and comfortable, livable rooms. The professional photoshoot perfectly captured the unique beauty of the sunset over the lawn and the distant views from the helipad. This combination of heartwarming service and stunning scenery made the trip truly worthwhile.

Guest UserThis is truly the ideal beachfront escape! The public areas are lush with greenery, offering excellent privacy. The room's balcony has an unbeatable view; every morning I woke up to green palm trees. The mattress was just right—not too soft, not too firm—ensuring a great night's sleep. A special shout-out to our butler, Ella, whose service was excellent and very attentive, absolutely perfect! The breakfast selection was rich and varied, and even the toiletries in the bathroom were top-notch. Five stars! 🌴
