Shanghai Huating Boutique Hotel

Terrible!!!! We booked for two nights, and the day before checking out, we decided we wanted to stay an extra night due to an unforeseen event. So we went to the front desk to ask about extending our stay for one night and if we could have a two-hour late checkout since we were staying an additional night. The front desk agreed. When we asked about payment, they said we had a deposit. We thought everything was settled. However, the next morning, the front desk informed us that there was no record or documentation in their system about our extension and they didn't acknowledge it. If we wanted to extend, we would have to pay an additional 100 RMB or so. The front desk was completely irresponsible! We spoke to the manager, who only offered an apology. Their oversight made the customer pay for it – absolutely terrible!!!!!! Also, the balcony in our room, as shown in the picture, did not have a view like in the promotional photos. You can compare it if you like.

Great value for money, and very convenient location with plenty of food options right outside. They even deliver takeout directly to your room! The breakfast spread was plentiful, and the room was very clean. It was quiet at night, too. I'll definitely stay here again next time.
