"The rooms were not ready when we arrived. And we already arrived late. There are a lot of people checking in. We waited for a while and because of that the receptionist offered to give us a late check out of until 2pm. When it still took sometime to prepare the rooms, she offered to extend our check out until 3pm and upgraded the 2 rooms to executive suite and junior suite without any fee, while the 2 rooms are twin bed, hence all is well. I think the housekeeping staff are either slow or undermanned. Nevertheless, the front desk staff kept on apologizing and were very nice. It’s not their fault so I understand. We just walked to Okada, then in the morning heard mass at St. John Paul II church in Aseana City. The breakfast is fine. Our stay all in all was good. Thanks."

"Great Location, Easy Airport Access, and Plenty of Food Options Nearby! I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel 101 - Manila. The location is perfect — it’s very close to Ninoy Aquino International Airport, making it super convenient for both arrivals and departures. It’s also just a short ride to the Mall of Asia, where you can shop, dine, and enjoy entertainment options. There are also many restaurants and food stalls nearby, so you’ll never run out of choices for meals, whether you’re craving local Filipino dishes or international cuisine. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-managed. The staff are friendly and helpful, making the overall experience even better. I highly recommend Hotel 101-Manila for travelers looking for convenience, comfort, and great access to nearby attractions and dining options!"

"The room had an ample space for a queen bed and a sofa. The room was tidy and totally appreciate the freebies with the room. Location is perfect near to Terminal 3 and across is Newport mall for a quick dinner with family. Staff was very approachable and accomodating with late check ins and late check outs. Breakfast buffet had a few selection of pastries and Asian cuisine but plenty of hot and cold drinks to choose from. Downside is there was a musty odour on one side of the room near the window. Otherwise, very satisfied and totally recommend."

"Amazing stay in the Philippines! I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm smiles and excellent service. The reception team was always helpful, quick to answer my questions and ready to assist with anything I needed. One of the highlights was the security staff – very professional, attentive, and always making sure guests felt safe. They were not only protective but also super friendly and willing to help with directions or even small favors. The overall customer service was outstanding. Every interaction showed care and dedication, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy, the location convenient, and I felt comfortable at all times. I truly appreciated the effort of the whole team and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Philippines. I left with great memories and will surely stay here again on my next visit!"

"From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. Check-in was quick and easy, and every staff member I encountered was warm, polite, and always ready to help. The doormen in particular deserve praise for their attentiveness. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom felt luxurious with its rain shower. I appreciated the modern touches and the big windows that gave a great view of the city. The highlight of my stay was definitely the amenities. The infinity pool with the acrylic bottom is both unique and fun, and the I’M Onsen Spa is unlike anything I’ve experienced in Manila — relaxing, clean, and very professional. I also enjoyed the rooftop bar; the jellyfish aquarium is mesmerizing and the skyline views are stunning. Breakfast was good, with a decent variety, though it could be expanded a little for longer stays. Aside from that minor note, everything else was close to perfect. Overall, I’M Hotel delivered comfort, service, and experiences that made my trip to Makati truly memorable. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Manila, whether for business or leisure."

Where to Stay in Manila

Manila is a city that never stands still. In places like Makati or Bonifacio Global City, the streets are alive with office workers, malls packed with shoppers, and restaurants buzzing late into the night. Music spills out from bars, and traffic hums constantly in the background. But just a short drive or walk away, you can stumble into quiet neighborhoods, old churches, and simple eateries where life feels slower. The city moves between fast and calm, giving you the rush of the crowd and the ease of small, peaceful corners.

Best Areas to Stay in Manila

Makati

Hotels in Makati – Ideal for first-time visitors who want a mix of modern city life and comfort. The area is filled with shopping malls, rooftop bars, and restaurants, yet you can also find quiet streets and cozy cafés.

  • Raffles Makati – From PHP 22,464 Luxury hotel with spacious suites, excellent service, and direct access to shopping and dining. Great for those who want everything within reach.
  • Fairmont Makati – From PHP 9,153 Elegant stay with comfortable rooms, a rooftop pool, and warm hospitality. A good balance of business and leisure.

Getting to and Around Manila

Manila is served by Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), which has four terminals spread across Pasay and Parañaque. Depending on traffic, getting from the airport to the city can take anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour.

From NAIA, you can take a Grab car (ride-hailing app), a metered taxi, or an airport bus to different parts of the city. Many hotels also offer airport pickup services if you prefer a hassle-free arrival.

Once in Manila, the easiest ways to get around are by Grab, taxis, or city buses. The MRT and LRT trains are a good option if you want to avoid traffic during rush hours, especially around Makati, Quezon City, and Pasay. For short trips, walking in safe areas like Makati or BGC is also enjoyable, with plenty of cafés and shops along the way.

If you have an early flight or a late-night arrival, staying at a hotel close to the airport or one that offers airport transfers can make your trip much smoother.

Tips for Booking Manila Hotels

Book Early for Peak Seasons

Reserve your hotel ahead of time if you’re visiting during Christmas, New Year, Holy Week, or long weekends. Popular areas like Makati, BGC, and near Mall of Asia fill up fast, and prices usually rise closer to the date.

Watch Out for Major Events

Manila often hosts big concerts, international conventions, and sporting events. These can quickly fill hotels near the venues, especially around Mall of Asia Arena, Araneta Coliseum, or World Trade Center. If you’re traveling during these times, secure your booking early to avoid last-minute stress.

Save with Booking Perks

New Trip.com users can enjoy up to 8% off on selected hotels. That discount could cover a nice dinner in Makati or even help you upgrade to a suite in places like Raffles Makati or Okada Manila.

Stay Smart with Location Choices

You don’t always need to book the priciest hotels in the city center. Consider:

  • Pasay – Convenient if you want to stay close to the airport and Mall of Asia.
  • Ermita or Intramuros – More affordable stays near Manila Bay and historical sites.
  • Quezon City – Great for budget-friendly options, especially if your trip includes university areas, shopping, or food spots.

AAnonymous UserMy stay at Lyf Malate Manila was absolutely excellent and I have no issues with how accommodating and welcoming the staff were! Especially with one of the room service staff who was very considerate of my requests for extra towels and whatever the case may be. This is technically my second time staying within the same premises as I remained at Torre Lorenzo prior when it was still a Hotel but the experience was amazing and is recommended for all who wish to experience great rooms and people. The only issue I had during my stay was that at times the bathroom would have stagnant water that would come from the shower after taking a bath or the like. Other than that there are no issues.

OOvidiuLWell located hotel, at walking distance from historical downtown - where most of touristic spots could be found, the venue looks as something with a great past. With some refurbishing, renovation, it could also have a great future. Staff is helpfull, they compensate the issues the hotel encounters. Good breakfast, various products to choose from. Small open air pool but sufficient to enjoy during hot wheather (we never used during our stay as was raining too much). Rooms need to be refurbished, many things need to be improved

AAudiTOURLocation - few walks away from DLSU, St. Scholastica and Benilde. Also few walk away from LRT stations and Bus Stations so quite accessible. If your are foreign tourists, expect some noise and dirty manila surroundings when you go out of the hotel facility. Service - Staff and crew are very pleasant starting with the security guards and attendants upon the entering the hotel facility. The check in procedures are smooth and the receptionist during that time is very accommodating and nice. Facilities - The building is kinda ”old” and it is very evident with the elevators and the lobby. Upon entering the room, I noticed it was very clean and the CR is very clean and dry as well. However, you can really notice that everything is old although it can add ”charm” to the ambiance of the hotel because well, it can be like that. Other that that, everything is nice, the beds are big and the pillows and comforters were, well, seems clean naman. All rooms have their own balcony however, for security purposes, doors are locked but you have a good view pa din naman, which is sa room ko, the Manila skyline and the pool. I think the worst part lang is the smell of the room. Not stinky naman or whatever but I am not sure if because the building is old or whatever but there's really a weird smell na hindi nakaka ”clean” smell, not sure if coming from the old aircon or whatever. Yun lang ata ang downfall, the old vibe of the room is okay but the smell, hhmmm, not sure. There's a pool area as well and a jacuzzi, which I was able to try and it's really nice. Food - My stay came with a breakfast buffet. The restaurant is sooo nice, again, the old vibes kinda add with the ambiance. The staff are well trained as well so they're accommodating and pleasant. As for the food selection, I guess it's the normal food selection for a hotel. There's the usual morning breakfast, pastries, juices and all. With the price you paid, I think it's okay. In general, my stay was nice and I can really say that the biggest assets of hotels like CPH are their staff and crews because how they treat and accommodate their guests will have a great impact with the stay.

GGuest UserBayview Park Hotel may not be the newest, most modern, most glamorous, or fanciest hotel in Manila. But its value goes beyond these fleeting features because of the warmth, comforting simplicity, and genuinely welcoming character of its staff and employees. With a historic pedigree and iconic location that separate it from most hotels, I will always look forward to staying here with its combination of new elements and vintage features, like the wooden flooring of its elevators and modest but elegant staircase. I hope that Bayview Park Hotel will see many more years and welcome many more guests as it continues to be part of the charm of Manila.

GGuest UserMy partner and I stayed for 2 nights PROS: 1. Great location  very close to shops, 7-Eleven, and even a nearby casino if you're into that. 2. Exceptional cleanliness  big compliments to the Housekeeping team! 3. Comfortable bed and pillows  very cozy. 4.Nice amenities provided: 2 bottled waters, dental kits (toothpaste and 2 toothbrushes), a comb, 1 shampoo sachet, and a small bar of soap. 5. Front desk security is excellent. Every time my partner left the hotel, they confirmed who was with me. Great job on ensuring guest safety. 6. Affordable choices of food from hotel menu and it was really taste great. 😋 CONS: 1. The front desk staff who checked me in didn’t seem very hospitable honestly, it was my first time experiencing that. I requested a room not near the elevator, but she still placed me next to it. The first room we were given had a non-functioning AC. I didn’t catch her name, but I think she could benefit from additional training in customer service. 2. Not ideal for light sleepers like me the walls are wooden, so you can clearly hear people in the next room talking, and unfortunately, even groaning and moaning during *** (yes, really!). 😩 3. The first room we were given was on the third floor, and it was terrible you could hear people singing karaoke in another room, which made it really hard to relax. OVERALL: The stay was just satisfactory. I’m glad I brought my earplugs they helped reduce the noise around me. Big thanks to the manager who helped us move to a new room on the 4th floor and even extended our checkout time, since the front desk didn’t check us in properly at first but still you can hear noise to the next room but not really loud unlike the first room we had. I didn’t catch the manager’s name because I was so exhausted and just wanted to sleep after our long trip from the north to Manila. We waited around 10–15 minutes for the new room to be ready because housekeeping was still cleaning it, but that was okay. Thanks to him the manager for the assistance!  Front desk staff service - Good 🙃 (PLEASE SMILE and BE FRIENDLY) Housekeeping service - SUPERB 😍 Food - GREAT Frond desk Manager - Very nice of him for doing a great job 😊

Aannaleah lacotoOverall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel has a nice pool and bar area with videoke. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which made the stay feel welcoming. One of the best features is the room size—it's really spacious, which is perfect for guests like me who are claustrophobic. I appreciated the open space and simple layout. However, the hotel could really improve by adding basic amenities. There was no mini-fridge, no bath mat, and no slippers provided. The room setup is very minimal—just the bed and bathroom, nothing extra. If you're looking for a no-frills, spacious room with good staff and access to a pool and bar, Arzo Hotel is a decent option. Just don’t expect full hotel amenities.
