"Very disappointing stay. The room was advertised as soundproof, which was one of the main reasons we booked. Unfortunately, it was anything but. Throughout the night we were repeatedly woken by the front door slamming and people running up and down the stairs near reception. We barely slept. We stayed in Room 2. The bed had a noticeable dip at the head end, making it uncomfortable. The TV did not work, and there was no remote in the room — we had to take one from the breakfast room ourselves. There was no one present at reception when we arrived or during the evening. A phone number was displayed on the main door, however due to having no signal in the area, we were unable to call it. The receptionist was only present the following morning, at which point I raised my concerns in person. After chasing for several days, the owner eventually called and stated that we were the first guests to raise concerns about the bed in Room 2 and that a new bed had been ordered. However, after returning home, I noticed previous reviews from January mentioning the same issue with the broken bed in Room 2. This made the situation even more concerning. The owner offered a 50% refund of the adjusted amount (£39), but £35 was transferred instead, and I was told the £4 “wouldn’t make any difference.” The issue was never about £4 — it was about professionalism, transparency, and honouring what was agreed. The room did not match its advertisement, and the handling of the complaint was disappointing throughout. I would not stay here again."

He even recommends the best local restaurants, which was such a thoughtful touch. The hotel itself is wonderful, but having Nathan there truly made our stay unforgettable. "Well my goodness what a relaxing and truly memorable anniversary we had at this friendly, welcoming and high quality guest house. From start to finish it was just perfect in every way. Brian set the tone for our stay with his professional, courteous and hospitable welcome and we were so wonderfully surprised when he showed us to our room and we saw how spacious, stylish and luxurious it was (room 1). With breakfast booked and our two course breakfast choices submitted, we enjoyed our complimentary fizz whilst sat in the window watching the world go (if you peeked around the corner you could see the pier and seafront). We were delighted to discover that there was loose leaf tea (a firm favourite of mine) and Taylors of Harrogate coffee bags for us to enjoy too which was a real treat. Dinner was out of this world ... We were greeted once again by the lovely, smiling Brian and he advised us about the number of sharing platters/dishes he would recommend and highlighted a few which were popular with other guests. We ordered the red snapper, lamb rolls and sliced steak with a side order of fries. It was absolutely divine! We enjoyed our mains so much that we shared the sticky toffee pudding for dessert (no dietier's regret whatsoever)! The whole meal was absolute heaven! Despite Brian's shift finishing before the end of our meal, we were well looked after by the other members of staff who were so warm and attentive and made us feel very spoilt. After a nightime stroll along the pier and a ride on the big wheel, overlooking the beautiful Llandudno seafront, we slept like logs in our extremely comfortable bed. The morning in Snooze was every bit as fantastic as the day before, starting with a jacuzzi bath and followed by the BEST breakfast we've ever had! We received a cheery welcome from another amazing member of staff (so sorry we didn't get their name) and enjoyed a fruit cocktail and porridge to start (my husband said the porridge was the most delicious he'd ever eaten) followed by an incredible full Welsh breakfast: perfectly cooked poached eggs and ingredients of the finest quality. We couldn't have asked for a better start to the day and again the ambience was just so relaxing. We really didn't want to leave! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Snooze, as both a guest house and a restaurant, when visiting Llandudno. Everyone we met was so friendly and helpful and the chefs and kitchen staff must be applauded too as their food was amongst the best we've ever eaten; absolutely top notch! Thank you to everyone who made our 22nd Anniversary the best one yet. You all do a brilliant job. We simply can't wait to return!"
