"Great for families! The rooms are well-equipped with everything you need, even pots and pans. The staff are really friendly too. My only complaint is there's no washing machine and nowhere to hang clothes in the bathroom. Make sure to book a room facing the inner garden, as the street-facing rooms look out onto an empty lot. It's a bit far from the city center, but a taxi ride is usually under 10. The biggest downside, though, is the terrible soundproofing in the rooms – I hope they improve that. The gym is nice, but the pool is tiny, really only good for photos, not for actual swimming!"

"Both the rooms and common areas are clean. There's a washer and dryer on the 2nd floor, and kettles are available in the common areas on the 1st and G floors, so you can bring them back to your room to boil water. Getting a taxi right outside is easy and the location is accurate. There are also plenty of restaurants and eateries nearby. I've been indulging in durians for a few days in Ipoh, and I'm very satisfied!"

"Check-in was an absolute breeze, completely defying the negative complaints on Trip.com, and the security here is top-notch, with incredibly friendly and vigilant guards who greet you warmly, do regular rounds, and strictly enforce safety rules like requiring adult supervision for kids in the gym. The room was pristine and spotlessly clean, featuring perfectly firm beds and pillows along with beautifully prepared towels and linens. The property also boasts excellent amenities, including a stunningly manicured garden, a spectacular rooftop pool on the highest floor, and ample parking space that is currently still free. Even their food delivery policy is highly commendable, keeping the property secure and tidy by requiring GrabFood pickups outside rather than crowding the reception area. While adding easily accessible recycling facilities would be a great eco-friendly improvement for Stallionz, everything about my experience was flawless, and I am already looking forward to my next wonderful stay here again!"

"This is my second time staying at Hotel Excelsior with my family tand it didn’t disappoint. The Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We were fortunate this time to be allocated the newly renovated triple room and it was nice and classy. There was some issue with the plumbing connected to the toilet bowl but a staff was sent over in less than half and hour to fix the issue. The hotel room was clean and one of the concierge staff named Hazz was extremely helpful and took his initiative to help google for information on places in Ipoh we asked him about. He also gave a number of good recommendations for alternative places to visit as well. Another thing I like about this hotel is, they usually have iced lemon tea at their lobby for guests to drink. This is a godsend when guests like me return to the hotel, given the sweltering heat in the afternoon. Nothing beats having a glass of iced lemon tea before heading up to your room. We will definitely return to Hotel Excelsior the next time we come to Ipoh."

"This is a unique hotel, though the rooms are a bit small. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent. The location is a bit secluded, a little distance from tourist attractions, but since we were taking taxis everywhere anyway, it wasn't a major issue. However, there are indeed some areas that need improvement. Firstly, the hotel entrance is extremely hidden with no clear signage, making it very hard to find. Secondly, the hallway lighting is too dim, and walking into the room, it's pitch black, requiring you to fumble around to find the key card slot. Lastly, there's no power outlet by the bed, which makes charging phones and watches very inconvenient."
