"Had a pleasant stay at M Roof Hotel & Residence. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with modern design and good facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The location is convenient with many eateries nearby and easy parking available. The rooftop pool was a nice bonus. Breakfast could have more variety, but overall it was a good value stay and I would consider coming back again. One suggestion for improvement would be to provide more clearly designated disabled parking spaces closer to the entrance to improve accessibility and convenience for guests with mobility needs."

"The place is clean and well managed. Self check in Malaysia is a surprise but works well. Each co living units has a few rooms but the main common room is well equipped with living space facilities. Location is also nice since it's close to the old town and everything is within walking distance. The parking space has tight entrance but could easily be managed by a seasoned driver. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice and cheap place to stay"

"I saw the high rating on Trip.com and decisively chose to stay at this hotel, considering it as a potential top choice for future business trips. **Welcome:** Communication was seamless, and the doorman quickly guided me to the parking lot. **Parking:** There are two options: paid valet parking outside the hotel lobby, and a multi-story parking garage on floors 4-5 (free if you register at the front desk). There's a direct elevator from the parking lot to the lobby on the G floor, but it doesn't go directly to guest room floors. **Lobby/Front Desk:** Complimentary welcome drinks were available. The front desk staff were highly efficient, completing check-in within about 5 minutes. They also clearly informed me about the complimentary supper buffet at 11 PM (porridge, red bean soup, soy milk, and some side dishes). They also accommodated my request for a late check-out. **Guest Room:** I stayed on the 7th floor this time. There was a subtle, pleasant aroma from the lobby all the way to the room, not overpowering. The room was about 40 square meters, quite spacious, and the layout was very practical. The twin room also featured a bathtub, with warm lighting perfect for a relaxing soak. I personally prioritize good air conditioning, and it was excellent. The soundproofing of the glass was also good; occasionally, I could still hear the roar of modified cars or supercars. **Facilities:** The infinity pool on the rooftop (R floor) offered a great view. However, I noticed the hotel doesn't seem to have a gym, though I'm not entirely sure. **Breakfast:** The variety and selection were just average, not particularly extensive. The taste seemed to cater more to local Malaysian preferences. **Pros:** ① Complimentary supper, a thoughtful touch, which is rare for hotels in Malaysia. ② Direct access between the hotel and Ipoh Parade shopping mall. ③ Centrally located, so no worries about food and drinks. ④ Extremely fast room service. I requested a bucket of ice, and it arrived within 7 minutes. Impressive! ⑤ The complimentary mini-bar included regular coffee and tea, plus two extra beverages and two packets of peanuts/nuts. **Areas for Improvement:** ① I noticed that during supper time, the tables already had breakfast cutlery and tissues laid out. After guests finished supper and the used cutlery was cleared, the unused cutlery remained on the table. This is a significant hygiene concern. I suggest setting up breakfast cutlery after supper service. ② The hairdryer should be placed in the bathroom for guests' convenience, not in the wardrobe (as the noise can disturb a companion). ③ There was noticeable dust in the light strip recess next to the toilet in the bathroom. ④ The Wi-Fi speed needs improvement. While not terrible, it wasn't ideal and affected work efficiency. ⑤ The anti-slip properties of the floor tiles in the shower were not very good. This issue needs attention to prevent falls. Anti-slip coating could be applied, non-slip mats provided, or warning signs posted for guests. **Summary:** As an experienced business traveler who has stayed in no less than 500 hotels worldwide, including high-end and luxury establishments, the above review is absolutely fair and reflects my personal experience. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. Considering the price and hotel category, it's worth returning to."

"The hotel's strengths are the spacious rooms and the presence of a bathtub, making for a generally comfortable stay. The cleanliness was acceptable and met basic standards, but the overall environment was quite ordinary, with nothing particularly special about it. The only minor letdown was the service details: even though we booked a triple room, they only provided two sets of toothbrushes and bath towels. We were even charged an extra RM5 for an additional bath towel, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, if you're looking for a short stay and prioritize space and basic comfort, this hotel is a decent option, but there's room for improvement in terms of service details."

"The hotel's exterior is new and fresh, and the room is bright and comfortable with a modern, 'cyber' design. The toilet in the bathroom is state-of-the-art, and the in-room electronic system is very convenient to use. The lobby staff were all smiles, attentive, and friendly. The hotel is located near the city center, less than a ten-minute drive away, which is very convenient. For Ipoh, Malaysia, this hotel is definitely a five-star experience. Highly recommended!"

"Very strategic location but seems cleanliness big issue as toilet basin leaking and when we check in has some left over rubbish in the room and the pillow case seems long time didn't change. In terms of location it's very strategic travel within Ipoh town area. Do take note when exit lift area there a slight slope which me and my wife almost fell down. Think hotel must put a various sign on this too especially for elderly not aware such risk"

"Stayed one night at Travelodge Ipoh and honestly it’s one of my favourite hotels whenever I have work in Ipoh 🤍 The room feels much more spacious compared to many other hotels in the same range, super comfortable after a long day. Also, can we talk about the shower gel? 😍 The lemongrass scent is sooo refreshing and relaxing — small detail but it really made the stay feel extra nice. Clean room, comfy stay, good experience overall. Will definitely come again!"

"Had a pleasant stay at Hotel Kinta during my recent trip. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and located in a very convenient area—easy access to shops and food spots nearby. Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The highlight of the trip was definitely the buka puasa experience. The atmosphere felt like the classic P. Ramlee & Saloma era—very lively and nostalgic. There was a live band and DJ that made the night even more happening, and the hotel staff really entertained the guests which made the whole experience feel warm and memorable. Special shoutout to Prem, Adji, Feri & Zack for the great hospitality and fun vibes throughout the night. They truly made the buka puasa experience more meriah and enjoyable. 🌙✨ Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable stay. Definitely recommended for anyone visiting and looking for a place with good vibes during Ramadan."

"Extend our second night here because the stay was so comfortable and affordable. The hotel is clean, modern, and feels very new. Quality of everything was surprisingly good, from the bed sheets, towels, even the hangers. Amenities provided include 2 bottles of water, shower gel, shampoo, and tissue box. They also have a paid self-service laundry area with an Electrolux washer and dryer, which is very convenient for longer stays. I was also impressed by the pantry room with SK Magic water dispenser, microwave and iron provided for guests. One area that could be improved is the security access system. The main entrance and lift already have card access systems installed, but they don’t seem to be functioning yet. Since the area feels quite quiet at night, it would feel much safer if card access for the entrance and lift were activated."
