I heard that Changbaishan Hotel is a historic hotel that recently underwent renovation, and the photos looked great. So, when I came to Changchun, I chose to stay here. For a price of just over 600, you get two 1.35m twin beds and breakfast included – what more could you ask for? I feel the service is much better than those big-name five-star hotels. The room is spacious, the service is excellent, the bedding is comfortable, and it's very clean. It's also super convenient for visiting places like Changying Studio. Definitely recommended! 👍
My travel companions all thought it was good, and we'll definitely stay here again if we have the chance. The only thing is, because it's newly renovated, there's still a slight smell in the room. You can ask the staff for an air purifier. If you're sensitive to smells, you might consider staying here at a later time.

The hotel has a great location, but not much of a view. The interior design was definitely to my liking, though I only snapped a few quick photos during my visit. I didn't even have time to try the breakfast.
There were some issues with my room, but they were resolved promptly, thanks to the manager on duty that night. (However, the issue of calling Mei Hua Hotel is something they really need to address; it was quite ridiculous.) This hotel opened 26 years ago; I hope it continues to improve!

The bathroom is spacious, the shower water is strong, the location is very convenient, and it is very quiet at night. I stayed for one night and the experience was great. It was a good choice.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service in all areas was excellent. The front desk staff were warm, friendly, and very helpful. The housekeeping staff were also very efficient, attentive, and kind, which made our stay very comfortable.
The restaurant service was especially impressive. My husband is American and is not used to using chopsticks, so we truly appreciated that the staff thoughtfully provided him with a knife and fork every morning without us even needing to ask. It made him feel very comfortable and well cared for.
The breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of choices. The restaurant manager was very attentive and asked about our food preferences. On our last day, we mentioned that we would like to try sweet and sour pork, and the manager kindly arranged it for us. We were very touched by such thoughtful and warm service.
Overall, we are very grateful for the kindness and excellent service. It truly made our stay memorable.

- Breakfast selection was great and service of staff there was superb
- Room assigned was on 33rd floor with great view of the city
- Room size was big despite having a small window space
- Futuristic and minimalist hotel with robot to send food to your door (deliveries)
- About 10 mins walk to “The Hill”/“Wanda Shopping Mall” and Tram 54
Cons:
- Not easy to find the exact location in Didi App as it’s very new and there are a few hotels of the same name around the area
- Was told that they have disabled the aircond (Cold air) during winter and it will only blow warm air. With that, we were advised to turn off the aircond and we slept sweating as the temperature was not low enough for a great night sleep
- To maximize space, there wasn’t any proper hanging (wardrobe) area that we can use to hang our winter jackets
Overall (Summary)
- Great hotel for its location and with much local delights around. Service was great with great selection of breakfast. High floor view of city. Just too bad there wasn’t any cooling aircond we could use as the window was tight shut. Great room size for family which is a plus point. Happy to come back again perhaps in the summer next time. The hotel is conveniently located and the breakfast spread was fantastic, featuring Northeastern specialties like frozen pears and persimmons. The front desk staff were warm and attentive; they even helped me print documents, which was a huge relief in the cold winter, saving me a trip outside and improving my work efficiency. Plus, there were complimentary welcome drinks upon check-in!

GGuest UserThe location is super convenient, really close to Wenhua Square Station on Metro Line 2, making transfers a breeze. Xinmin Street is within walking distance, so you can easily immerse yourself in the historical buildings and the green vertical landscaping of the area. Inside, the environment is very comfortable. The lobby has computers and printers available, and even the desks in the rooms come with a mat that doubles as a mousepad – perfect for business travelers or those needing to balance work and vacation. The soundproofing is probably among the best for this price range. From the street-facing rooms and restaurant, you can enjoy the view of the tall poplars across the road and the hostas nestled among the trees, which is really pleasant.

GGuest UserI was very satisfied with my stay. The room was spacious and well-ventilated. The front desk staff were polite and communicative. The breakfast was plentiful, and I loved that a robot delivered my takeout directly to the room! The housekeeping staff were attentive and proactive in asking if I needed anything. The hotel's location is excellent. I accidentally left a charger when I checked out, but when I called, they found it within minutes and immediately arranged for it to be mailed back to me. It arrived the very next day! I'm truly grateful for their excellent service.

SshiyangThe staff were overall very polite and hospitable during our stay. For instance, they helped fixed our room’s defective thermostat and promptly delivered us additional toiletries to our room by request.
The breakfast area had a large selection of foods to choose from, allowing guests to customize their own plates to their liking. There was also a professional chef present to cook up additional dishes, such as fried eggs and noodles - both of which were excellently made.
The room we were given, however, did not have a good ventilation system as there were multiple instances where the smell of cigarettes flooded into our room. Consequently, this forced us to open our window to air out the room. Our bathroom door also could not lock - let alone close at all. We hope that only our room was affected.
With all said, our overall experience at this hotel was pleasant and we would recommend anyone visiting Changchun to come stay at this hotel.
