We decided to go to Badaling Great Wall after get off work on Friday. It was already past 10 o'clock when we booked the B&B. The boss was very enthusiastic. He asked the housekeeper to wait for us when he learned that we would arrive at 12 o'clock. The two 1.8-meter-high beds are really suitable for family travel. The room is air-conditioned and floor-heated, which is very warm. There are two cats on the first floor of the B&B, and the children like them very much. When I woke up and opened the curtains, I saw the Great Wall opposite. It felt great!

The B&B is at the foot of the Great Wall. There are no houses around, so it is very private and quiet. I also like the facilities inside the B&B. It is very quiet with few people. When we came, it was just after the rain, so we sat lazily in the yard and breathed in the fresh air. It was very suitable for enjoying the time leisurely.

The hotel is very nice, and the room is lovely, though it may not be the best fit for a friends' trip. The room we received was slightly different from the pictures. We specifically booked based on the bathroom having a separate door for privacy (so we could change comfortably), but our room had no private space for changing before/after showering. One of us had to wait on the terrace while the other finished showering. This setup seems perfect for a couple. It’s romantic, with a hot tub in the room (which we knew about and didn’t plan to use). For friends, it's a bit inconvenient.

It was my first time to this B&B. The owner had prepared welcome fruits and a hot spring bath before we arrived, which was very thoughtful. The B&B is located near Miyun City, about a 15-minute drive from Miyun City. If it is more convenient to drive by yourself, the B&B also provides a Wagyu hot pot buffet at night. If you don’t want to go to the city, you can also solve dinner in the hotel. The environment of the B&B is simple and clean, the hot spring bath is clean and private, and the surrounding is very quiet. There is a central air-conditioning heating system in the room, so it won’t be very cold at night, and there is a humidifier. The breakfast is diverse, and the store carefully prepares and arranges the dishes. They will ask the guests in advance when they will get up to ensure that the breakfast is still hot when they get up, which is very thoughtful. In short, it was a pleasant stay experience, and I give the store a thumbs up!

I was incredibly fortunate to choose The St. Regis Beijing for my stay. The facilities and amenities, as expected, were up to St. Regis's usual impeccable standard. This time, I was accompanying foreign clients on a business visit. Our schedule was incredibly tight, yet I wanted them to have a memorable experience. When I was tied up and unable to personally assist, William proactively helped my clients check in and took care of all their needs. When I wanted to adjust our itinerary, he immediately provided attraction opening hours and offered practical suggestions. He was exceptionally professional and resolved numerous last-minute issues for me. I truly believe it was thanks to him that we made it to the Great Wall! (And I must give myself some credit too – I managed to squeeze in a factory visit, the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Bird's Nest, and Siji Minfu Hotpot all within 36 hours!) Crucially, everything was handled seamlessly without me needing to constantly intervene or mediate, which saved me a significant amount of energy and time. Anyone who frequently manages complex arrangements understands how rare it is to find staff who can deliver this level of independent, proactive support. Moreover, as a hotel that often hosts important international dignitaries, it served as an excellent selling point when introducing the venue to my foreign clients. I highly recommend it. All the staff members are personable, extremely responsive, and proactively suggest optimal arrangements – they truly have an 'eye for the job'! Perhaps it's due to its location in the embassy district, but the service standard here is arguably a full tier above similar hotels in Guangdong, including Hong Kong and Macau. It has quickly become one of the most impressive hotels I've ever stayed in.

Duan’s Quadrangle Inn is perfectly located. Within a stone’s throw away, not only is there the ticket office for boat tours and the Simatai Great Wall, you’ll find the entrance to Simatai is right in front of you; the boat tour starts from the dock about 5 metres from the office. You must try Duan’s hot springs (indoor and outdoor) and sauna for a relaxing experience. They provide towels and flippers/sliders, and lockers in the changing room. The morning breakfast buffet was a convenient way to start our day! There were continental as well as Chinese food and drinks. As the restaurant is located on the first floor, we sat in the terrace, overlooking the lake. The staff are polite and helpful. They have a mini shop outside the hot springs section if you forget to bring your waterproof phone holder. Overall, we’ve had a lovely time staying at Duan’s and we would not hesitate to stay again! Enjoy your trip!

Visited the Great Wall with friends. We contacted the guesthouse beforehand, and they kindly offered pick-up and drop-off service from Badaling High-Speed Rail Station, which was incredibly convenient for us as we were relying on public transport. The guesthouse also has a cafe, so we never felt bored during our downtime. We enjoyed relaxing with coffee and taking leisurely walks with friends. The bedding in the room was very comfortable, and considering the price, it offered fantastic value for money. Toiletries were also provided. A truly pleasant stay!

The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly, she even helped us carry our bags up to the room. Our room was spacious and filled with natural light thanks to the large windows. Just note that the bathroom has an open layout, so you'll want to close all the blinds for privacy. The location is fantastic, right across the street from the Mutianyu entrance (with a small barrier in between). Keep in mind, there are no elevators, so if you're traveling with a lot of luggage, you may need to carry it up a few flights of stairs. There's also a great restaurant right next door. We tried the pork with chestnuts, which are locally sourced, and it was absolutely delicious. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel!

As a pet family, you must experience a 😊 with the hairy children staggered to ~ during the holiday week, especially fun 😊 The surrounding environment is comfortable and elegant, the service is intimate and thoughtful, and the sheets prepared for the dog, the water bowl, the dog bed, the urine, etc. are quite complete, and the dog is particularly friendly and inclusive. We have fun in the private soup compound 👍 The delicious restaurants around are also very recommended.

A total of three and nine people traveled with friends. This is the third time to Zixuan Villa, and it is the most satisfying time to live. Facilities: The facilities are very new and very complete. The kitchen utensils are complete for friends to gather on holidays. Hygienic: very clean, the aunt will come to clean every day. Environment: This is the best. The small courtyard is very quiet, the terrace view is very good location, the stargazing is also very good at night, the overall layout is very comfortable, the swing chair, lounge chair, sofa are not landscape, really comfortable. The temperature of the hot spring water is not very hot, but I feel quite comfortable. But the cloud room seems to have hot springs, faucets and showers have a heavy sulfur smell. There is a room that feels mildew spots on the wall and is covered with tiles. It feels better to repair it. Service: The butler response is very good. It is very good as a homestay. Overall, it is very suitable for many people to travel and live together. There are also many attractions around. If you want to be lazy in the room, you will not be bored. There is a projection and a TV boss also prepares toys, you can soak in the soup, and the boss has a study room. Eating around is also very convenient. Basically determined to be a gathering place.

QQuin56Review: Stay Home This trip was like an encounter with prehistoric man and a case study of a failed business combined. If you book a standard room, you will be taken away from the five star reception area to another building which has the decor and standards of a thirty year old hotel. Faded carpets, peeling walls, smelly interiors, uncleaned floors and rooms which are impossible to heat. But it was just about liveable, in that it had a bed and hot water. What totally failed to impress were the amenities. We'd come for the children's stuff, the little zoo, water park and others. The price of these are not included in the hotel, and for each experience they charge adults and baby to the tune of 80rmb, meaning you will spend quite a bit to use it all. As soon as I saw the children's rides I became depressed, they were rusting and looked murderous, as if the nuts and bolts would be dislodged and explode fatally in all directions if a kid shook too heavily on the things. To even use anything suggested you'd become unclean as well. Then you attempt to ask staff something but stop when you realise how futile it would be to address someone with one eye in its forehead and the other in its chin, with their peers boasting similarly fascinating facial misalignments. An hour of that and we wanted to leave, including our baby. She would have been much happier at home playing with her toys, or rather just happy at home doing anything than being at the Nirvana resort. Anyway, the swimming pool is not free either, they will charge you 58 a person including child. When I went to ask about a swim, staff were downright stunned I'd walked in to ask such a question, watching as I entered and left with hillbilly intensity and incomprehension. You can see the park had a lot of money invested in it before, way back in the misty past, but I can't see them recouping their losses. The resort is a grab money scheme with separate interests taking care of, or neglecting, what is on offer. I can't see them attracting a moneyed middle class without a total overhaul. On the plus side, my wife and I did have a good laugh about how bad it was and the fact we'd packed for a few days in expectation of a holiday, but found ourselves cancelling after an hour. The reception was helpful with this and refunded our money. The staff are well meaning in a vacuous kind of way, going about their duties as the whole place drops about them, broken lifts, falling plaster, water leaks and all. But to be sincerely positive, the gardens are pleasant along with the lake and ducks.

JJiraphatThe hotel’s service is very good because even when the kitchen was already closed, they tried to prepare a light meal for us. They also had a very nice lounging area in the center which is be great for photos. The hotel staff is very nice too and they can help recommend which places to go and they would help all they can with any issues about our transportation, trip planning, and booking tickets. This hotel can not speak english though. And it would be recommended to drive there because it would be more convenient to go to WaterTown or other places. The hotel can call a taxi for you though but it would be twice as expensive as a normal taxi would cost. Also, the location is about 5-8 minutes away from WaterTown. Not recommended if you don’t have a car.

MMaverick MakStayed 2 nights at the Gubei Wtown Resort. The resort is probably one of the larger resorts within the area of Gubei Watertown. Your coach or taxi will drop you at the Carpark (P2) outside the Watertown as no outside vehicles are allowed inside the Watertown. It is a short walk to the Visitor Centre where you can deposit your luggage and register for the hotel/resort/ boutique accommodation over here. Please note ”no drones” are allowed beyond this point. They will screen through every luggage. After which you can take the Watertown Shuttle to your resort which is only a couple of mins. If you have big luggage, they will send directly to the hotel you booked as well. The resort is beautiful a blend with ancient Chinese design with modern architecture. The room is immaculately adorned with traditional furniture, murals, artifacts and other traditional Chinese elements to exude the ancient town. It is very spacious too, truly luxurious! We bought the package which includes daily breakfast for 2, a dinner for 2, a spa (onsen) for 2, a handicraft experience either Kite making or lantern making for 1 and the Simatai Great Wall Ticket for 2 (hike up). There is a huge swimming pool within the hotel and a gym. Very under utilised. It is nice to have a swim after the Great Wall hike. In short, it is a very memorable stay the resort worth every penny of it.

VValerie GailThis hotel is pretty good. I wanted to find a hotel that had a warm kids pool so I could take my daughter to swim. The kids pool is pretty big and the temperature is perfect. As you can only enter the hot spring area once, I was able to let my daughter nap on my lap while my husband and I had some fruit and drinks at the seated area without having to leave the hot springs. The room is spacious and mostly clean. However, I wouldn't say this hotel is 5 stars. The decoration is outdated and needs to undergo refurbishment. The bath was dirty and had lots of things floating in it when we filled it up with water, so we had to empty and refill before washing in it. Then, when drying my daughter's hair with the hairdryer in the bathroom, the hallway light keep flickering and the hairdryer was cutting off. It seems there was some electrical problem with the socket. It started to make a spark noise and smelt like burning, so we had to quickly unplug the hairdryer for fear of it going on fire. The location is in the middle of nowhere, so it's not convenient if you want to buy food or snacks. i personally didn't like the hotel breakfast. It doesn't compare to other international brand hotel standards. Overall, it would a pleasant stay, but only because it was suitable for my daughter to swim..

GGuest UserAffordable prices, a pleasant environment, and numerous hot spring pools are why we return every year. This visit brought a mix of pleasant surprises and some disappointments. The hot spring section, in particular, delivered exceptional service. Attendant Han Xuejuan noticed me sitting and proactively offered a fresh, dry towel and a bottle of water. Another male attendant also came around with a tray, offering complimentary tea. Attendant Wang Fang checked in with guests, asked for feedback on our experience, and even gave a small gift to my child, who was absolutely delighted. However, the dining service within the hot spring area was quite disappointing. We arrived at 4:40 PM and were told ordering would only begin at 5:00 PM, so we had to wait. We ordered two rice bowls (donburi style) and a bowl of noodles. As my child was nearly done with her beef rice, she pointed out a hair in my bowl—a very thin, small one. Given we were almost finished, I didn't see the point in complaining, and honestly, even when cooking at home, such things can happen, so I decided to overlook it. What's more, the bowl of noodles still hadn't arrived after more than 40 minutes. When I inquired, they said a large pot of water hadn't boiled yet. There was no prior warning when we ordered that preparing it would take over 40 minutes due to the need to boil such a large pot of water. My child was already hungry and restless, which was incredibly frustrating. I was seriously considering giving a low rating for the dining experience, but the outstanding service from the hot spring staff deeply impressed me. Ultimately, I decided to let it go; a little mutual understanding goes a long way.

TTinocoIt’s was really nice stay at XishannHot spring hotel, there a lot of things to do for families. It was me, my wife, our two kids of 7 years old. Beside the many swimming pools they have two indoor parks and many activities going on almost 24h! It was a really nice stay! Hotel was clean, the food was good, good organized and room well maintained! There are two things I think could be better, first is the food menu is 100% Chinese, so no western options, I think they could have some options to make easy for western kids and families. And second is the fact that all instructions and all staff speak only Chinese, so I think they should at least translate all instructions at hotel, swimming pool, indoor parks to English, these would make the stay even better!

CCarolineYMWe just stayed at the Mumanyu villa at Brickyard and it was perfect in every way. First the location is less than 10 minutes by car to the wall and the hotel has a van and they will drive you. The hotel has a western restaurant and a Chinese restaurant both were fantastic. We had a nice buffet breakfast but you can also have breakfast in your villa if preferred. The grounds are awesome and very clean with lots of interesting art and furniture for lounging and relaxing. There was an art museum that we visited as well on the property. They have a spa and sauna and masseuse - we wanted to experience it all but didn’t stay long enough. The staff are exceptionally nice and we especially loved the manager, Stanley. He helped us with so many arrangements and made our stay a dream come true. We went to the wall multiple times and he arranged cars and reservations and a shuttle to and from Beijing. This property is one of a kind with the houses all in the village and the property is unique and very special. I will be back for sure and will tell everyone I know to come here. You will not be disappointed. Stanley will take care of you as will the whole staff. His English is perfect if you need any help navigating. BBat-ErdeneUnforgettable Experience at Beijing’s Best Hot Spring Resort 🌿♨️ I recently had the pleasure of staying at what I can confidently say is the best hot spring resort in Beijing, and the experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything was handled with care, professionalism, and genuine warmth. The resort itself is beautifully designed, blending traditional Chinese aesthetics with modern luxury. The hot spring pools were immaculate, with a variety of temperatures and mineral compositions to suit every preference. Whether soaking under the stars or enjoying a peaceful morning in the steam, it was pure relaxation at its finest. What truly set this resort apart, however, was the exceptional service. I want to extend special thanks to Luna Zhang, whose dedication, attention to detail, and heartfelt hospitality made our stay unforgettable.

The owner is also very enthusiastic. Seeing that I came alone, he not only invited me to have dinner, but also took me to visit the surrounding pear blossom forest. It was a very pleasant trip!
