This hotel is really great and very-very clean. The things is I booked the hotel during Golden Week, so it got crowded but still having a nice stay. Kyoto Station is within 5 mins walks. The kitchen and public spaces really good and nice plus it has rooftop area which you can view the surrounding street from above. Things that I think can be improves are; should added more space in the cabin for bag and things, the lights inside the cabin was to bright and unadjustable. But overall great hostel with great service, accomodation and location. I do really want to have another stay here if I ever visit Kyoto again. But maybe will be upgrade to single room, hehe.

I booked this hotel on short notice and checked in on April 2, off-season. The room was cheap, had a bathtub, the hotel service was very good, there was coffee downstairs, and there was a lounge to use, so it was a great value for money.

After getting off the bus, walk uphill and you can see the hotel sign along the street. It is easy to find. There is a convenience store near the station, which is very convenient. I arrived in the morning of the first day and could not check in. The boss invited me to have breakfast before I checked in. When I came back to check in at night, the lady was also very enthusiastic and told me that I had upgraded the room. I didn't need to move the room for three days. It was very considerate. As long as they were in the public area, the boss chatted with the guests every day, cared about how their day went, and gave suggestions if the guests needed anything. I went there during the maple leaf season, and the several spots recommended by the boss were great. In addition to breakfast, the boss also prepared snacks and even warm baby that can be used at any time, which is very considerate. The grilled fish breakfast at the boss's house is freshly grilled, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and it is delicious. I recommend it. One day when I came back, I met a little sister who dropped her bag on the bus. She was very anxious. The front desk lady actively helped to call the bus company. The boss and the boss's wife rushed to the store as soon as they knew about it. Finally, the bus company said that they had found it and asked the little sister to pick it up. The boss and the boss's wife drove the little sister to pick it up. Great praise! This kind of shop is very safe to live in. I also ate the soup that the boss cooks once a year, which is delicious! The staff inside are also very enthusiastic and friendly. They are willing to help when there are difficulties. I will go there again if I have the chance.

This was my first time at a capsule hotel, and I stayed in a women-only area for two nights.
Overall, it was a very clean hotel.
The bath amenities were plentiful, and cleansing and facial cleanser were provided so I didn't need to bring anything with me.
The hotel was also in a good location, right outside the entertainment district and with drugstores and convenience stores nearby.
However, the partitions at the entrances to each room were curtains that could be rolled down so I could hear footsteps and such, which woke me up when I was having a light sleep. But more than that, I was very satisfied with the service, including the bathtub and cleanliness, so I would like to use it again.

There is a parking lot, a bus stop nearby, and the facility has a very nice interior and exterior.
There are no restaurants nearby. The houses are not too close together, so you can sleep quietly at night.
What I like most about it is that you can relax in the hammock on the common area balcony or on the sofa outside.
I would like to use it again when I go to Kyoto by car.

The hotel is authentic, in an old building.
The location is far from the center - I walked 1 hour.
I was there in winter - it was cold there.
The hostel has everything, towels for a fee and there is bike rental for 1000 yen. There is a hair dryer.
The kitchen is normal, there is even a pressure cooker.
There is a 7 Eleven store nearby - convenient.
In the shower - not a shower, but a bath.
Overall, I was satisfied, because the price for Kyoto is very good. Let's skip the cold - I hope you do not go to the oceanic cold like I did)

The hotel is in a very good location. There is a bus stop at the door. It takes about 200 meters to walk to the subway station and about 10 minutes to walk to Kyoto Station. If you plan to travel to nearby attractions in Kyoto, it will be very convenient to book this hotel, because whether you are going to the nearby Lake Biwa, Nara or Osaka, you have to take a bus at Kyoto Station. In addition, the hotel is very clean, there is no odor in the room, and the bathroom is also very clean. It is highly recommended.

Couldn't be better maybe a little bit expensive, though all hotels in Kyoto are so. The environment is good and people are friendly and you have a very good public area in 8th floor. And they got all the euipment you need. The girl in the front desk who smile a lot offer me a great of help, hard to say goodbye. I'll be here again.

a great place stay as it’s on the main street. the staffs were friendly and the bar at the ground floor was such a vibe. I left my wallet (unfortunately) to Tokyo and the staffs were willing to help me to get it delivered asap to tokyo which i appreciate a lot. 10/10!! :) cheers

GGuest UserAlthough it’s a bit far to the Kyoto train station, if you know how to take the bus, there are 3 bus stops + 1 Shijouoomiya train station which are really closed to this hotel (only 6 to 10 mins walk), which can lead you to anywhere of the tourist spots !! 👍🏻 hotel located in a quiet street which gives you a well sleep at night. 😴The hostel of this hotel are helpful, they helped us to return our kimono via the local post since we are rush in time to travel around. 📤 They replied the email daily and fast, at the first day we couldn’t find their reception to check in (Just found out it’s a self check system that they had already sent you a password to your email earlier). 📧 They helped us to take care of our luggage after we check out our room, as we were going to nearby spots after the living. All the facilities and equipment are clean, you can tell they had mopped the floor, clean anywhere of the kitchen, restroom and sleeping room all the way around and leaving with no dust. 🪣👍🏻 my conclusion is, I will definitely come back to book their hotels, their signature brand “Risshisha”, next time when I come back to travel again. Once again, thank you for your 5 stars services !! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
VVeldaThis time I chose an apartment-style hotel, which is about a 1-minute walk from Exit 3 of Marutamachi Station on the Karasuma Line and a 2-3-minute walk from the Kinkakuji/Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. It is very convenient to reach various attractions. There are FamilyMart, 7-11, McDonald's, and supermarkets nearby. The room is spacious 👍, with kitchen utensils, oven, microwave, washer and dryer, electronic scale...all available. There is a large table in the room, which is a place where our family of five can go home every day to have late night snacks without being crowded. The teenagers enjoyed their stay very much and will choose this place again next time they visit Kyoto👍.

GGuest UserTHIS PLACE IS THE BEST!! The man, Tommy, who runs it is so sweet, helpful, accommodating. I will miss his sandwiches in the morning- if he offers to make one for you, say Yes. They were sooo good. It was a great stay, I arrived after getting caught in a downpour and felt so bad about getting water everywhere but Tommy was so helpful and gave me a spare pair of shoes to wear since mine were soaked through. He gave restaurant recommendations, and I really appreciated his hospitality. The room was comfortable, it’s a quiet place, lights out was around 21:00 I think. It’s a good location, close to a station. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only thing to be aware of is you cannot drop your luggage off early before the check-in time, and you have to be out of the hostel during the day from like 12-5 or something like that.
HHuanlvbubuxingThe hotel is close to tourist attractions, which is very convenient and can save a lot of time. Although the bathroom and shower room are a bit small, they are just right for use.
The hotel is relatively clean, and the service staff can communicate in English and use translation software.
The hotel has a small public space, which provides a small kitchen and table for guests staying in the hotel. If necessary, you can buy ingredients and cook your own meals.
People can communicate together and inadvertently provide each other with a lot of information, which makes it convenient for sightseeing.
GGuest UserIt's similar to a Japanese economy hotel. It's quite small. It's very close to JR Nijo Station, and you can see it when you get out of the station. It is also very close to the subway station. There is a bakery, restaurant, and convenience store at the door, which is super convenient. This station is also beautiful, with cherry trees at the entrance of the station. Close to Nijo Castle, about 10 minutes on foot to Nijo Castle.
GGuest UserHave everything you possible wanted in a hotel when you go for vacation. Reception so attentive and assisted in all our request. Would surely recommend anyone who is coming Kyotango to stay. Colin Ang
GGuest UserMy mother and I had a very comfy stay at this traditional Kyoto home in a residential area (FYI, the private rooms are on the upper floor. The staircase will be very treacherous.) The team was great and explained everything in detail. I appreciated that they took my mother's suitcase up as I followed behind. I liked the local neighborhood feeling compared to the buzzy central area, but you will need to take a bus from across the street to get anywhere before hopping on any train. Btw there was no shortage of places to eat in the neighborhood. (The 93 bus is convenient from the hostel because it will drop you off at the entrance of the Arashiyama bamboo grove.) I would stay at this location again.
FFuguiThe hotel is right next to Nishi-Maizuru Station, and the highway buses to Amanohashidate and Osaka-Kyoto are right opposite the hotel, which is very convenient. The hotel is relatively old overall but the lobby is very grand. The room has been newly renovated and is very cost-effective.
