having ryokan style with tatami mat floor is nice when there is room heating at a place like this! very lovely place to stay. Please be careful when using google maps as it takes you across a very narrow bridge across the river to get here. Instead, go forward and go around via the road.
This time I had business in Nagaokakyo and used it for the first time because it was a nearby inn. It was close to the Hankyu station, so it was easy to get to on foot.
The exterior of the building is Japanese-style, and the interior and rooms are Japanese-style modern. Dinner and breakfast are not available. Shuttle service is available, and parking is available upon reservation. Also, when I go to Kyoto, I would like to use it as a couple.
The staff were kind and the facilities were good. I stayed here with breakfast included. The breakfast was delicious.
I recommend the soba noodles topped with grated yam and onsen*. And the navy curry was light and the meat was tender and delicious. Also, the music box in the lobby was lovely.
Everything else is good. Very nice traditional Japanese-style room with complete facilities. The lady boss can speak Chinese and the lady at the front desk can speak fluent English. Communication is no problem. The only problem is that it is far from JR Kokura Station, about 1km away. You can go to Uji by taking the Nara Line.
It was compact and had the bare minimum.
There was a drink bar on the first floor, but I wasn't informed of it...
There were no pajamas in the room, so you had to ask for one on the first floor. They were free to borrow, so don't worry ^ ^
There was no water either, so you had to get some at a nearby convenience store. There was also a supermarket on the main street.
Very nice hotel, location on the mountain can see the sea, there are hot springs. The service is also very good. If you don't go to the scheduled time for breakfast, the waiter will always wait for you and return to inform you. If it's quiet, it's suitable for a family vacation, no one bother, good place, very few meals around.
The hotel is quiet and has a nice view. The staff is polite. But there are some problems that I hope Ctrip will pay attention to. The room I booked includes breakfast. But the front desk said that it only includes a sandwich. If you want a buffet breakfast, you need to add 1100 yen. I finally added it. But there are not many types of breakfast, but it is enough!

Love the common area and the amenities available in the hotel, and I thought they were really comprehensive. Everything one will need while traveling is present or easily obtained, and the location is also a very convenient one that makes it easy to get to many attractions around Kyoto. The pleasant cafe vibes and free beer in the evenings were a HUGE plus, and the staff have been very friendly and helpful as well.
Have everything you possible wanted in a hotel when you go for vacation. Reception so attentive and assisted in all our request. Would surely recommend anyone who is coming Kyotango to stay. Colin Ang
This is a hotel that I really can't find any faults with. It's my favorite hotel I've stayed in Japan! , very new, the room is very, very big, with floor-to-ceiling windows, the design of all the rooms is very considerate and suitable for use, the refrigerator is very large, there is a freezer and an electronic stove. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in, there were plenty of pillows and quilts in the room, the sound insulation seemed good, and there were a lot of supplies at the counter that you could take yourself, such as moisturizer, mouthwash, lotion, and bath salt.
The only real downside is that the convenience store is two traffic lights away and the subway station is 8-9 minutes away on foot. Next to it is the Mikane Shrine where Japanese people line up to worship⛩️You must go!

GGuest UserAlthough it’s a bit far to the Kyoto train station, if you know how to take the bus, there are 3 bus stops + 1 Shijouoomiya train station which are really closed to this hotel (only 6 to 10 mins walk), which can lead you to anywhere of the tourist spots !! 👍🏻 hotel located in a quiet street which gives you a well sleep at night. 😴The hostel of this hotel are helpful, they helped us to return our kimono via the local post since we are rush in time to travel around. 📤 They replied the email daily and fast, at the first day we couldn’t find their reception to check in (Just found out it’s a self check system that they had already sent you a password to your email earlier). 📧 They helped us to take care of our luggage after we check out our room, as we were going to nearby spots after the living. All the facilities and equipment are clean, you can tell they had mopped the floor, clean anywhere of the kitchen, restroom and sleeping room all the way around and leaving with no dust. 🪣👍🏻 my conclusion is, I will definitely come back to book their hotels, their signature brand “Risshisha”, next time when I come back to travel again. Once again, thank you for your 5 stars services !! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
VVeldaThis time I chose an apartment-style hotel, which is about a 1-minute walk from Exit 3 of Marutamachi Station on the Karasuma Line and a 2-3-minute walk from the Kinkakuji/Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. It is very convenient to reach various attractions. There are FamilyMart, 7-11, McDonald's, and supermarkets nearby. The room is spacious 👍, with kitchen utensils, oven, microwave, washer and dryer, electronic scale...all available. There is a large table in the room, which is a place where our family of five can go home every day to have late night snacks without being crowded. The teenagers enjoyed their stay very much and will choose this place again next time they visit Kyoto👍.
茶茶碗蒸しさくらThis was my first time at a capsule hotel, and I stayed in a women-only area for two nights.
Overall, it was a very clean hotel.
The bath amenities were plentiful, and cleansing and facial cleanser were provided so I didn't need to bring anything with me.
The hotel was also in a good location, right outside the entertainment district and with drugstores and convenience stores nearby.
However, the partitions at the entrances to each room were curtains that could be rolled down so I could hear footsteps and such, which woke me up when I was having a light sleep. But more than that, I was very satisfied with the service, including the bathtub and cleanliness, so I would like to use it again.
GGuest UserTHIS PLACE IS THE BEST!! The man, Tommy, who runs it is so sweet, helpful, accommodating. I will miss his sandwiches in the morning- if he offers to make one for you, say Yes. They were sooo good. It was a great stay, I arrived after getting caught in a downpour and felt so bad about getting water everywhere but Tommy was so helpful and gave me a spare pair of shoes to wear since mine were soaked through. He gave restaurant recommendations, and I really appreciated his hospitality. The room was comfortable, it’s a quiet place, lights out was around 21:00 I think. It’s a good location, close to a station. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only thing to be aware of is you cannot drop your luggage off early before the check-in time, and you have to be out of the hostel during the day from like 12-5 or something like that.
HHuanlvbubuxingThe hotel is close to tourist attractions, which is very convenient and can save a lot of time. Although the bathroom and shower room are a bit small, they are just right for use.
The hotel is relatively clean, and the service staff can communicate in English and use translation software.
The hotel has a small public space, which provides a small kitchen and table for guests staying in the hotel. If necessary, you can buy ingredients and cook your own meals.
People can communicate together and inadvertently provide each other with a lot of information, which makes it convenient for sightseeing.
GGuest UserIt's similar to a Japanese economy hotel. It's quite small. It's very close to JR Nijo Station, and you can see it when you get out of the station. It is also very close to the subway station. There is a bakery, restaurant, and convenience store at the door, which is super convenient. This station is also beautiful, with cherry trees at the entrance of the station. Close to Nijo Castle, about 10 minutes on foot to Nijo Castle.

GGuest UserMy mother and I had a very comfy stay at this traditional Kyoto home in a residential area (FYI, the private rooms are on the upper floor. The staircase will be very treacherous.) The team was great and explained everything in detail. I appreciated that they took my mother's suitcase up as I followed behind. I liked the local neighborhood feeling compared to the buzzy central area, but you will need to take a bus from across the street to get anywhere before hopping on any train. Btw there was no shortage of places to eat in the neighborhood. (The 93 bus is convenient from the hostel because it will drop you off at the entrance of the Arashiyama bamboo grove.) I would stay at this location again.
FFuguiThe hotel is right next to Nishi-Maizuru Station, and the highway buses to Amanohashidate and Osaka-Kyoto are right opposite the hotel, which is very convenient. The hotel is relatively old overall but the lobby is very grand. The room has been newly renovated and is very cost-effective.
