The staff has a good service attitude, is proactive and cares about the guests' needs.
The room is tidy and well lit!
The laundry service requires installing apps for online payment, which is inconvenient. The connection failed and was disconnected during the Internet connection. If you try again, you will be deducted one more fee. Each transaction requires an additional ¥11. Is there a handling fee?
Wash once, dry once, pay ¥11 for 3 times, pay 2 times for laundry
The room is big and the hotel is not too far from the station
Stayed for two nights. It was quite quiet. There is a sporting goods store nearby.
Overall it's pretty good👍 and the hotel is very new and the service is also very good.
Very satisfied, especially the handsome guy Weng Sang. His Chinese service was warm and thoughtful. He solved all the problems I had with the Kumano Kodo itinerary. He helped me buy the stamping book and check in my luggage. He also explained the bus timetables in all directions, which took up a lot of his time. Finally, he helped us deliver our luggage to the room. I bought a one-night stay and two-meals package. The food was delicious. In short, I had a good time and was satisfied with the food. Thank you
The single room was comfortable with a simple and easy-to-use arrangement. I was in contact with my room child to stay, so pajamas and slippers were properly prepared for children in the room. The large communal bath was clean and comfortable. The breakfast at the buffet and the tea corner at the front desk were delicious and I was satisfied with everything. There are hotels all over the country, so I would like to use it again.
Our stay at Fukuchi-In was amazing. We slept in a traditional japanese room and had a delicious dinner and breakfast in another incredibly beautiful room, shared with other guests.
We attended the morning prayers and enjoyed the indoor and outdoor onsens.
There was heating in the room :)
You need to change shoes as soon as you enter the door. The room is large in the same level of hotel. You can add an extra bed. It is suitable for a family of three. There is a restaurant. There is no need to book. The restaurant has a fixed meal.
When I wake up every morning, the sun shines on my butt. Outside the window, Qiaohang Rock is soaked in the sea water before the tide recedes. Usually, not many people stay in the hotel, but the night of the 17th was an exception, because the rocket 🚀 was launched at 11 am on the 18th, and many people drove RVs here. The front desk of the hotel was very nice, the room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was conveniently separated into dry and wet areas. There was no meal, but the supermarket in this station was very delicious, especially the Red Angel Roasted Sweet Potato 🍠, which is worth a try.
I booked this treasure hotel for the Japanese-style room with sea view. It was my first time to Kata, a small seaside city with a particularly beautiful place. The Taiyu tram is very cute. The hotel has a free shuttle to Kata Station. You can call the hotel in advance to confirm the arrival time on the day. The car was not available until 9 o'clock the next morning, so I walked directly to the station in the morning and arrived in about 20 minutes. Baidu Maps is still very accurate.
There are plain public yukatas and free gray split-toe socks in the room. If you like cute yukatas, you can choose one yourself in the lobby.
The room is a bit like a circle, with a toilet, bathroom and a sofa facing the sea view on the outside. The Japanese tatami is in the box. The area is quite large. The tatami bedding will be laid out when you come in to eat.
The hotel's hot spring faces the sunset, and I soaked for nearly an hour to wait for the sunset. The men's and women's baths will be switched in the morning and evening. The sunset at the seaside is really a great view.
Dinner can be added, it is kaiseki cuisine, and there are really many sea bream dishes.
If you have a chance, you must come to Kata in Wakayama
The room is in a very good location. The decoration is old and Japanese style. I like it. The soundproofing is not good. The private hot spring is very good.

Great
RRach.CCWA typical traditional Japanese hot spring hotel. The facilities are not new but they are very clean and hygienic. The room has an incomparable sea view, and the hot spring facing the sea makes people feel the peaceful atmosphere. The dinner and breakfast were very exquisite and delicious, but not very luxurious. The location is far away from Wakayama JR. We made an appointment in advance for the hotel's pick-up and drop-off service. Otherwise, apart from taxis, we don't know what public transportation is available to the hotel. It seems that self-driving travel is more suitable.
CCEL_LI was about to give bad reviews due to some poor check-in experience, but everything after check in is so good that compensates this journey.
First, the check-in process that brings me with bad experience: it is self-served and there is no any staff. By rights you should receive an instruction email with check-in PIN in advance, which I heard from other guests. However, I didn’t receive anything but Trip’s confirmation letter and I was unable to check in. And my sim card in Japan is just an internet card unable to make phone calls, which means I have no way to contact the hotel directly. My partner and I were desperately locked out of the hotel in the evening, after 7h hiking, with no other available hotel in the mountain. After waiting for over 1 hour, other guests helped us to enter the admin room where there is an ipad to call the hotel (why not make it available to guests without checking in?), and with the help of Trip’s agency, we finally checked in successfully.
Then here is the staying experience: so good that makes me almost forgive the poor check-in experience. Each room is a spacious individual house and ours has a garden for BBQ. The food is also self-served, with the cooking stuffs and ingredients in the fridge. It was unexpected that you need to cook yourself (I don’t think it was listed on room info when I booked it), but it’s not bad that Wagyu, chicken, and vegetables are served. The rooms are big and cozy, and you can do the laundry after hiking.
Everything is good about the hotel itself, just be aware of the self-checkin process and make sure you get the instructions before that.

ЮЮрий555Grampus Shirahama A modest hotel right near the ocean. The room was clean, but the air conditioning was all dirty. I wouldn’t want to stay here in summer. The breakfast was nearly the same as in every other hotel in Japan, though the grilled fish was a bit stale. The dining room has a wonderful view over the ocean. The staff almost didn’t speak English but tried to help anyways. Plus: the hotel has its own onsen. Minus: no bathroom in the rooms, only toilets on the floor, no shower.
RRita JeanThis was second stay this year whilst visiting my son. Hotel is a short stroll from main railway station & a large department store with food outlets. Staff at hotel are helpful & polite with a varying grasp of English. The breakfast is reasonable but with room for improvement. For European pallets there was no cheese or cold meats, limited bread choice & only undercooked scrambled eggs but this is common throughout Japan. However, I was disappointed on one aspect. Had been expecting some fresh oranges - Wakayama grows them - on both my visits none appeared. Bicycles are also available for hire & we did this free of charge whilst visiting in April & it was thoroughly enjoyable & a good way to sightsee. I would recommend this hotel.

TTrissyThis is our last stay of our Kumano hiking. Since it was winter, not that many guests. There are a few toilets and face washing areas. We had a cozy stay. The location is very close to the JR station. The other side of the JR station is full of restaurants. We decided to rent a car to travel along the coastal area then back to Wakayama the next day. Toyota-a-car is the only car rental shop to allow us to do so, which is also extremely close to this accommodation. Just 5 mins walk. You’ll have to book to use the onsen. The water is hot enough to save my legs after a long hiking day. Value for money, highly recommended.
