5-Star Hotels in Surat Thani Province, Thailand

I made a note of a quiet room when I made a temporary order in the morning. When I arrived at the hotel around 12 noon, a very quiet room in the corner had been arranged. There was a solo traveler next door, and the child's sofa bed had been laid out, so I checked in immediately. It's much better than the Ritz-Carlton in Samui where I stayed this time (Lizi kept asking me to wait until after 3 o'clock to check in). I enjoyed complete natural tranquility here. The villa was very private and I slept very well. In front of you is the sea, next door is the rain forest, and you can see the starry sky above, far away from the hustle and bustle. I didn't hear any voices, cars, or music! The room inspection can be improved. The sticky cups, safe and scale were all broken. It took three uncles 40 minutes to finally replace them with new ones. The little sister who cleaned the house was very serious on the first day, and the cleaning on the second day was very serious. The two of them fooled around for five minutes and enjoyed the results of the little sister's careful cleaning. But these are small things. It's great if it can meet my core requirement of quietness. I have decided to stay here again next time I come to Samui. Thank you very much to the Chinese male manager who arranged the room at the front desk!

My wife and I chose this hotel to celebrate our anniversary, and looking back, I’m so glad we did. The free and varied water activities, the friendly and patient staff (almost all of whom speak excellent English), and the simple yet delicious food left a lasting impression on me. From start to finish, there was hardly anything to be dissatisfied with. We stayed for two nights in different types of rooms. On the second night, we stayed in a pool villa. The initial room we were assigned didn't have the view we saw in the website photos, so my wife asked if we could switch rooms. To our surprise, the staff checked briefly and then upgraded us for free to a room with the best sea view we’ve ever seen. I can hardly describe how beautiful the view was with my limited vocabulary. My wife and I both agreed that we will definitely come back, maybe for a week or even a month next time. If you want to quietly enjoy the beach, sea view, and a private pool, choosing this place will not disappoint you. By the way, I really liked the welcome drink at the beginning and the scented sachet they gave us when we left. The coconut-flavored snacks in the lobby were also very delicious; I would grab one almost every time I passed by.

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! The customer service is the best that I’ve ever experienced with an American company. The villa was a dream! The most beautiful view that I’ve experienced so far. The pools, the Kids Club, the bars, the Happy Hour, the View Restaurant..everything was excellent. It’s a beautiful resort. My only complaint would be the kids meals were low quality which was unexpected for the Ritz. I will definitely visit again!

Great hotel with great and attentive service as well as very clean facilities. We've been welcomed very warmly by all the staff at the reception. Our room had a great and straight view on the sea, located just above the pool. The hotel itself is build on a hill and it's not easy to walk up to the rooms, however, the staff is always ready and offering shuttle service which is great.  Our room was very clean, the bathroom offered enough space. The only thing I wish could have been provided were some more toiletries (such as tooth brush, comb and a shaver). Breakfast selection on the buffet was quite limited but sufficient for a 3-4 days stay. Besides that there was an a la carte Egg Dish menu, which was very nice. Recommend the Egg Benedict, these were poached daily perfectly.  The location of the hotel slightly remote but quiet on the other hand. Plus, there's a van shuttle service twice a day and hotel itself provides drop offs down to the main road whenever needed. Bike rental is just bedside the hotel, which made it even more convenient.  Overall a great time at the Mantra Hotel, can only recommend. 

During my recent stay at The Sea,I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The hotel offered a perfect balance of comfort, cleanliness, and excellent service that made my trip truly memorable. The room exceeded my expectations. It was spacious, and modern with thoughtful touches like complimentary bottled water. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep after a long day of travel. The view from the window, overlooking the sea was a delightful bonus. The location was another highlight—it was conveniently close to Michelin Thai restaurants, less crowded and close to the beach. The resort’s vibe is fantastic, and yet quiet enough for a peaceful retreat. The only minor drawback was hotel facilities is old and technically you can’t used them during your stay. Overall, The Sea provided an exceptional experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, relax and peaceful retreat and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

This hotel was exactly what we hoped for cozy, luxurious, and worth every penny. Our sea-view room was spotless, bright, and had an amazing view from the terrace. There’s even a semi-private beach, which made the stay even more special. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast didn’t have a huge selection, but everything was delicious. Plus, the location is great- just minutes from Bangrak Pier for easy trips to Koh Phangan and only an 8-minute drive to Fisherman’s Village. Highly recommend:)

Flying to Thailand was an unforgettable experience! The journey started with smooth check-in procedures and courteous airline staff who made everything seamless. The flight itself was very comfortable—the seats were spacious enough for the long journey, and the cabin crew was exceptionally attentive and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. The in-flight entertainment had a great selection of movies, music, and games, which helped pass the time. As for the food, it was surprisingly delightful! They served a mix of Thai and international dishes, and I absolutely enjoyed trying some traditional Thai flavors like green curry. The presentation and quality were above my expectations for airplane food. Overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable experience that set a positive tone for my trip to Thailand.

The lobby was spectacular. We arrived at night but it still can tell that the hotel was clean and large. The employees were friendly and they always had wore a big smile on their faces. The room was clean and tidy, which had a big open shower space. Taking a shower with air conditioner was a little chilly but it was totally tolerable because the whether was so hot outside. Swimming pool was stunning with a wide view of ocean. It was pity that we cannot arrive sooner to enjoy the sunset in the pool. We will definitely consider staying more days at Hansar next time.😄

The room was very good, with a wide view and a very good view. The most beautiful sunrise on the first day was half an hour late, and there were clouds on the second day, which was a bit regrettable, but watching the moon rise in the evening was another kind of happiness. The bright moon rose over the sea, and the feeling of poetry came to me. The facilities are complete, and there are various activities such as paddle board sailing, Thai boxing, etc. The service of Banyan Tree will never disappoint you. The housekeeper is very enthusiastic to help book various activities. Because the flight on the last day was late, he also helped us apply for a late check-out! I accidentally hurt my hand in the room, and the staff helped me deal with it more anxiously than I did. Because it was the weekend, there was a beach BBQ and a spark show. The breakfast was good for the first two days, but it was a little below expectations on the third day. It was a perfect vacation for four days and three nights here.

Overall is this hotel a quite good point to escape. We had a fantastic garden villa with an huge bathroom. Everyone was really kind and friendly. The only thing what they can work on it we would say it should be first of all the service for drinks and food. Normally you should have a eye for your guests probably if you have a happy hour to going around at the pool desk and the location, to offer the promotion. Second they have to make better drinks maybe a cocktail staff training should help. And last but at least they have definitely to work on the service in the waiting time in the restaurant we had to wait more than 1 1/2 hour for Thai food what’s probably is ready in 10 minutes. Don’t get us wrong it’s gonna be a beautiful hotel and you will have a beautiful stay at Koh Samui. It just missing few details to make it perfect.
