The location is impeccable, and the prices are pretty aggressive. I chose this hotel because I had an early morning Shinkansen. You can go to the station without getting wet in the rain. Facilities are a little old, but clean. There is an artificial hot spring bath on the 2nd floor. It will come in handy on cold days.
1. There’s pickup and dropoff for Echigo stn
2. No shoes allowed beyond the hotel entrance
3. Front desk have a local Japanese staff that can speak English. Pretend to be nice not. Anything else , he will tell you don’t know. Go find yourself. Besides selling tickets that he will earn money. You’ll get no information from him
4. 1st day check-in, my in room hot spring tub is slimy n dirty stained wil algae. I scrub a lot out and took video. Same Japanese man came and nothing. Till I show him the algae I’ve scrub and the video, he kept quiet. Housekeeping do scrub off within 30mins
5. Breakfast is same everyday
6. Dinner, slight changes but still 99% same.
7. Child meal is hopeless.
Stayed for 5nights, same meals daily.
8. Want to bring a cake to dinner to celebrate my Daughters Birthday, we were forbidden to do so. Nothing besides what they bring to you.
9. Onsen was good
10. Basic ice cream treats.
11. Simple ramen in the evening
Hotel is too rigid. It’s really expensive during our visits. The rules at dining and the same meals daily, it’s unbearable. Kids have nothing much to eat
For the price, I’ll not stay in this rigid property. Many other Ryokan resort for lesser price and better options. It’s not ski in ski out and yet price are too high.
It's right in front of Kashiwazaki Station, so checking in was very easy. The facilities are generally old, and it was disappointing that the hair dryer was only in the bathroom and didn't blow much hot air. I also found it inconvenient that Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby.
It was nice that there was a window in the bathroom, which gave it a sense of openness. (Although the view was mostly of Bourbon's headquarters.)
There are no 24-hour convenience stores nearby (there is a NewDays at Kashiwazaki Station, but it closes early), but there is a 7-Eleven a short walk away.
Many locals in the hotel stay, the room is tatami clean and tidy, the natural hot spring is very positive, but the hotel and bathing area have a certain year feeling that the equipment is a bit old, but the service is still very good 👍🏻
Breakfast and dinner are also very rich and delicious
It's just a short walk from the east exit of Nagaoka Station.
I stayed in a twin room, and it was great that the toilet and bathroom were separate. The bed was also spacious so I was able to sleep comfortably.
The receptionist was also kind, and I had a pleasant stay.
I'd like to stay again.
Ryokan was great! Service was really good, and they specially appointed a staff who knows some English to assist us.
My 8YO boy was the only child staying at the hotel, and much care and consideration was given to him.
Onsen was amazing!!!
The room is a little smaller, not enough to affect the quality, the reception staff is very kind, there is 7-11 downstairs, if you don't want to eat convenience stores early, you can choose the breakfast of the restaurant. I personally feel that it is delicious and very Japanese; Because I was going to Miyu Village the next day, I stayed here for a day. There is no bus at this station. I don’t want to walk. I can only take TAXI. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to other places. There is a sushi restaurant next to GU. It’s not bad. I spent NT400 eating more than in Taiwan. I can only say that it’s great.

GGuest UserThe environment of the hotel is excellent, and the price is worth it. It is very close to the high-speed rail station and very convenient! We originally had 2 adults and 1 child. We saw that it was required to have one room per person, so we planned to book 2 rooms first to see what the hotel required for children. Ctrip wrote that children were not allowed to be brought with us, so we thought that 2 rooms would not be enough and we would add another room later. We didn't expect the hotel to be so good. We had 2 children and one adult staying in one room.
AAirgeekedOne of the nearest accommodation to Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort and shuttle via a mini bus is available. Shuttle bus goes to Echigo Yuzawa station too. It is walking distance from Gala Yuzawa. Approach any staff at the Ski Resort with the telephone number of the hotel to request for it. Stayed there for a few night for snowboarding. Breakfast selection was fabulous with two local Japanese sake available! The room is big, clean and well furnished. It even come with a great view! Onsen street which is the street lined with restaurant is 10-15mins walk away. I recommend making reservation for dinner if you do not intend to go out for dinner. Great service is one of the key reason why I would return to stay!
CcarolienNice hotel withe rooms of various sizes. For me it was spacious enough. Bed was comfortable, would have liked one more cushion.
Room was clean an I liked that i could open the window. It was quite hot in the room because the heater was turned on. Even if i turned it off hot air came out.
Room was clean and had everything i needed. You can also get things at the front desk.
Breakfast was buffetstyle and really very good with a lot of choises, both Japanese, local and western.
Location was very convenient near the train station. About max a 5 minutes walk. Near the hotel there are a lot of places to eat or have a drink. At the station is a shopping mall.
KkimoちゃんIt feels a little old, but it's clean, and the unit bath is spacious, so it's rich! It was a good hotel with a comfortable bed!
I will stay again next time! ! ! !
As a disadvantage, the affiliated parking lot is a little narrow
People with big cars may find it difficult to enter!
Well, it's 900 yen per night, so let's be patient lol
AAnonymous UserLocation may be away from Sakihana station but they provide free shuttle if you inform in advance. Service was fabulous. The pretty Lady manager was warm and super friendly. The rest of the staff were efficient too. Their English is limited but we got by with GoogleTranslate. . Food was very delicious with many courses and side dishes. The highlight for us is the hot spring bath. The place was very clean and neat. We really enjoyed our time there. Yes, we have highly recommended our friends to visit the place in future.
GGuest UserStaffs of sake hotel r so friendly , from check in to check out , they r helpful to solve my room problem , as some miscommunication between the agent n hotel , the room arranged is not the type I booked , they changed my room immediately , of course with charge ( reasonable charge ) they provided the warm hospitality during our stay , the room r modern , gd design n so comfortable, their food so delicious , no matter breakfast n dinner , I’m happy stay in this hotel , surely will come again . 😊
GGuest UserIt is about 900 meters away from Yuzawa Eki Station and can be reached on foot. You can also contact the hotel for free pick-up and drop-off. The historical Japanese-style hotel is very unique. It happened to be snowing heavily in the early morning and soaking in the open-air hot spring was very special. The breakfast was very rich and I was happy to have such a good meal. Delicious Japanese breakfast!
GGuest UserI sincerely recommend this accommodation owner to speak Chinese, the attitude is very kind, no matter what the boss is helping, the boss is sincerely assisting, it is a warmth from the heart, I highly recommend the hotel accommodation facilities and Although the equipment for bathing is relatively general, it can be felt that the boss's management intentions The overall accommodation quality is very extra and there is a simple sense of happiness!
