The hotel is very conveniently located just by Salzburg station. Bus r 2 connects it to the airport. Good area with restaurants and shops very close. 15/20 minutes walk to all the main attractions. The hotel was nice and clean. The staff nice and helpful. The common areas of the hotel are modern and clean. There's a room for the luggage if you need to keep it before checking in or after checking out. The rooms were spacious and clean. So is the bathroom. The breakfast was very good, the breakfast room has a lovely view of the city. The only complain we have is that the room was very hot and the shower head bracket didn't work.

Booked this hotel for our ski holiday as only 60-90 mins from many ski resorts. Breakfast is amazing with lots of choice and every day had scrambled eggs and bacon plus many other options. Bus too opposite with number 4 bus running about every 20 mins until about 2230 hours. Cost for single is €3 euros. (Only take cash on buses). They also offer a day ticket for €4.50 but not sure if you have to buy this from a machine as didn’t offer on bus. You can buy a return ticket! We never had an issue with parking although the car park was often busy as the Sushi restaurant is very popular. There is also a Chinese buffet restaurant opposite called Huy Cook and Eat. ({€25). Food was good. They offered lots of raw fish and I wasn’t aware that they actually cook it for you! Rooms were cleaned every day and shower was awesome. I would have given this 5 stars but some of the reception staff weren’t very helpful. Eg. Not knowing any information about basic stuff like the buses!

We were on our way to Greece and needed a place to stay the night. This hotel is just next to the highway and next to a McDonald's. So you have to eat and don't lose time through the city. They offer a parking space without charging as well and the check in was possible till late in the evening. The price is very good, the room nothing special but exactly what we needed. The pillows could be more comfortable but otherwise nothing to complaint.

Stopping in Salzburg to check out Mozart place before driving to Vienna and we found this hotel from website. It looked beautiful so decided to stay overnight. Beautiful setting indeed overlooking the lake. The place is huge and we find many outdoor areas are not well maintained, probably because it’s winter or the site is simply too big to manage. Breakfast at the dining hall is grand and service was cheerful. Overall a pleasant stay.

After putting 1 double bed and 2 single beds in the room, there is almost no free space. I was a little nervous at first, not sure if it would be too bad. However, after staying for 2 nights, I thought it was just okay. The room was cleaned after we went out the next day. In short, if you book and check in on the same day, its price is relatively the cheapest, and there is nothing to complain about. Overall, it's okay if you don't expect too much. After all, everyone goes to Salzburg for sightseeing in the surrounding cities, and goes back just to take a nap.

Difficult internet on site. 30 mins walk from the city center. Possible to make coffee and tea in the room and several supermarkets nearby. Access to the building is not very warm.

They offer a well-stocked buffet that will appeal to guests from any country. The personnel at the front desk are professional and welcoming, from the moment you arrive to the time you check out. We were happy with everything here, but especially the location made it so easy to visit the city highlights in the morning and head back for a short rest after lunch before heading back for dinner in one of the many good restaurants in the area. They offer indoor parking, but it is for a fee.

Einen Nachlaß auf das Frühstück wollte sie nicht geben, da auch das Frühstück von einer externen Firma geliefert werde und das Hotel keinen Einfluß auf deren Preisgestaltung habe. Erhebt sich die Frage, wozu überhaupt noch jemand in der Rezeption steht, wenn man für nichts zuständig ist.

Breakfast is available in Hotel Neutor and was good but not outstanding and slightly pricey. Staff spoke very good english and was very helpful - She booked a fine evening Mozart performance by talented local musicians in Festung Hohensalzburg for us. The hotel room was adequate and unimpressive. The interior was dated and worn but seemed basically clean. The bed was comfortable. The location is just on the other side of the ridge behind Salzburg old city but tunnels through the ridge allow walking and driving directly to it from the hotel. The room was minimal and did not include any chair or desk. Only bedside tables were present. The hotel price was much cheaper than hotels in the old city and nearly as convenient. The neighborhood was pretty quiet at night with almost no traffic and felt quite safe. We ate all our meals in the old city and did not see many dining choices on the hotel side of the ridge. If you will use the room only as a place to sleep and clean up this is a very good option, but it falls short if you want to lie around the room or have friends to visit in your room.

Breakfast is simple and not timely. But can eat enough. The triple room we booked is on the fifth floor. The facilities are more general. Still clean. The bathroom and toilet in the room are separate, but the bathroom design is very problematic, take a shower and wash the water

Very satisfied with the Salzburg accommodation, the front desk staff is warm and friendly, the service is thoughtful, basically the responsive. The hotel is very convenient for transportation, convenient for travel, breakfast is also rich with you, in short, it is a very cost-effective hotel.

This is the nightmare hotel experience that people laugh about at dinner parties for years. Not at all funny at the time. FIRST BOUT - I had a $100 BW gift voucher, that stated clearly to produce it at check in. The girl at the desk didn't know what it was. I told her to try a drop down menu for payment? Call a supervisor? She was not up to the task. Dim. Very dim. SECOND BOUT - When I came down for coffee at 7am - the restaurant mgr quickly uncovered everything, turned the lights on. and asked how he could be of service. I said I only wanted coffee, because we were jet lagged. He snapped at me - ”Vhat? Jhoo no vant brekfahst? No, I apologized. Too early. Later maybe. ”I openz za rehstarhant for jhoo... now jhoo say -- jhoo no vant?” I wasn't up for an international incident, so I fled. Later, after we ate, I took a croissant from the breakfast bar to take up to my grand daughter who was suffering terribly from jet lag. She had eaten half an orange, and a bite of her mothers eggs. You would think I robbed the cash drawer. Same loony toon man runs after me to the elevator shouting - ”Jhoo must pay for anozer brekfast!!” What? I reminded him my granddaughter hadn't eaten... Didn't matter. He screamed to the clerk to charge my room for an additional breakfast. Over one croissant - to go. I slammed the croissant down on the counter, telling him to keep it. And I WAS charged another almost $12 -- I filed a complaint with BW and the Owners of the franchise. This isn't a hotel, it's a Hogan's Heroes rerun... complete with jack booted Colonel Klink, monitoring trips to the breakfast bar. INSANE .... quite insane.

To be truly honest, before I booked the hotel, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The hotel was brand new and did not have photos that looked realistic. I’ve also read some dissatisfaction reviews, but I booked it. And I didn’t make any mistakes. The hotel was brand new, everything was clean, and the staff was very friendly, helpful, and fast. This combo you for sure want from a hotel. The location of the hotel was amazing for us. It was right next to the shopping center and IKEA, so if we wanted to eat out, we didn’t have to go far. There were a bunch of restaurants in the shopping center. I think that everyone is travelling to Salzburg to see the city center, and it wasn’t that far away from the hotel, just like 5 mins of walk to the bus station which was right in front of the shopping centre and like 10 mins with the bus that had a stop right in the city centre. I do not recommend going with the car to the city center. There are not good-located parking spaces and they are also expensive. I’ve got out of my comfort zone, but it was totally worth it. I can only recommend this hotel and don’t listen to the bad comments, I did not have any major problems during the stay. Only a few little ones: 1. The doors were so heavy, but they told us that they are working on it to be easier to open 2. The doors in from the bathroom were self-closing 3. We did not get pairs of slippers, but we asked for them in the reception and we got them right to the room And if you like to workout the fitness is just breathtaking…

A lovely quiet location opposite the zoo and Hellbrunn Palace, and a bus ride direct to Salzburg or a short ride the opposite direction for the cable car. A lovely hotel with a fab view over the mountains from the back. Only downside for maybe a solo traveller is that there is no reception but on hand via whattsapp. Restaurant is not attached but def worth a visit as the food was wonderful. Not too far from other hotels and we found a couple of nice restaurant/bars.

This stay coincided with the road construction in front of the hotel, the hotel did not place relevant detour instructions, etc. The hotel rooms are small, the facilities are relatively old, and the sound insulation effect is average. It is said that the house is 700 years old. The service attitude at the front desk of the hotel is okay, but the waiter in the restaurant has a very different attitude towards locals and Asian tourists. They have a bad attitude towards Asian tourists and are very indifferent.

This is the only negative review I am posting from our recent trip thru Austria Italy and Greece, of 8 hotels and inns. We had a 3 night stay at the Obermayer Inn, a 35 minute drive to Salzburg. The first night dinner was terrible, over salted, a mess of a presentation, meat was tough, just an overall extremely disappointing meal. The rooms were small, not a lot of space to move around, tripping over our luggage, no bar fridge, bathrooms small. Beds and bedding was very nice. Breakfasts were good, staff worked diligently to stock the buffet presentation, line up at the coffee machine, had to wait, bit of a nuisance. Third and last night we decided to give the hotel restaurant another try, unfortunately it was closed for a private event, only drinks. This was another disappointment, why couldn’t they have told us, why couldn’t they have posted notices that it would be closed? We wound up back in Salzburg, driving around looking for a suitable place to eat that wasn’t pizza or fast food. Returning to the Obermayer after a fine meal at another hotel we discovered the parking lot full and overflowing, we had to park on the shoulder of the highway 100 metres away. This private event ended after 10:00 pm and we were able to move the car into a legal parking spot on hotel property. Private event, drinks only, designated drivers, maybe, but I viewed several men leaving on their own. I believe this to be a favourite gathering place for locals, there is even a table in the dining area set aside for locals only, friendly, they smile and say hello. My brother in law who has stayed there twice before and had very nice things to say about the Obermayer, how quaint it is, Bavarian inn, now swears he will not stay there ever again. The good; the bed and bedding was very nice, the breakfast staff worked diligently, and parking was free, if you could find a parking spot.

We stayed for 4 nights in late April/early May. Our honest opinion is there is much to be very happy with ....but, there are a few things which prevented our stay from being excellent. The location is perfect if you want to explore Salzburg and the surrounding area. Parking is easily available and we also made use of the local bus service to get into Salzburg, using the app and buying a 24 hour card. The bus stop is a short walk away. The hotel has been designed to an exceptionally high modern standard. The finish, the furnishings, the decoration, the cleanliness - it's all very good indeed. There are other special touches, including access to hot drinks throughout the day from a good coffee machine. This was appreciated. Our room was a small double, finished to an excellent standard. Clean, with large walk in shower. We felt one of our mattresses (two single beds pushed together to make a double) was very uncomfortable, to the point of back ache and not a great night's sleep. We swapped sides part way through our stay to minimise the problem - One mattress was comfortable. One was awful. We were surprised to be woken up by housekeeping entering our room, shortly after 8am one morning. That's a bit early to be wanting to service bedrooms. Almost all of the staff we interacted with were friendly although we can't say everyone was, especially when they were busy. The breakfast staff were less friendly. Breakfast was a mixed, inconsistent experience. On the best days there was lots of choice and good quality items. On a couple of days, some items weren't replaced or topped up quickly enough - eg) croissants, eggs. One morning, we waited for a table for almost 25 minutes, with no acknowledgement from the staff and no queue. Other guests even jumped ahead of us to grab a table. That wasn't good, at all. The next couple of days we chose to have breakfast much earlier, which solved that problem. On check in, we were given a map of local restaurants, all a short drive away. We did go to a local pizzeria, which was acceptable. It's such a shame that there are no restaurant or bar facilities at the hotel, which would have made all of the difference for us. We would have really liked to enjoy an evening meal or even just drinks, at the hotel, after a busy day sightseeing. Our feedback is given with sincerity and is not a complaint. The hotel is beautiful and we would return. There are just some tweaks which would have made our experience better.

I have noted my disappointment so much that they immediately have made a proper cleaning of the room by making excuses. The hotel is located in the village of Anif at the doors of Salzburg, which can also be reached by public means (about 600 metres from the hotel there is a bus stop and in about half an hour you reach the city center). The quality of sleep is excellent but breakfast has not enthusiastic me (fruit and Macedonia without any flavor and little variety of sweets.
