The hotel is located in a shopping area of Ban Chang. The room is very spacious, there are two bottles of water, the bed is soft and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. There may be a little bit of parking, but there is a parking lot further away. The price is not expensive. Overall, it is worth the price.

This Kokotel hotel just opened in July 2025.
This group, which has several hotels in Thailand, has opened a new location in Rayong. This is a rebranding of a previous hotel.
The pool is located on the third floor, directly in front of Mae Lapung Beach.
There's a small mart and surf shop one minute to the left of the hotel as you face the ocean. I stayed here for surfing.
While the location is great for surfers, it's a bit inconvenient for others. There are several restaurants nearby, and a 7-Eleven is more than 3 kilometers away, which is inconvenient.
Having just opened, operations have yet to be fully established, and the lack of cleaning and loud construction noise during my stay from July 28th to 31st are negative aspects. I usually stay at Kokotel Khao Lak and Chiang Rai, but it seems like headquarters needs to do more training and inspections to improve quality.
The reception staff worked hard, too.

Friendly staff. The house has its own terrace, convenient for a picnic.

Cons - the breakfast is very poor, it is difficult to get to the hotel 😞 If you do not have a car, do not include it in your route. Somehow I called a taxi to go further.

MMarinaThe hotel is conveniently located, but tuk-tuks do not bring you to it, you have to walk through the courtyards from the bus stop, the first time we thought we would not find it, then we got used to it when you know the way. The location is convenient, on the 1st line, but perpendicular to the sea, so the windows overlook the backyard and the restaurant toilet. Apparently, during the low season, the restaurant staff got used to sitting there, talking, playing with the children, it was difficult to relax during the day, there was constant noise outside the window. Even when we asked them to be quieter, after some time they gathered there again and talked endlessly loudly, watched videos, played games. Then they moved to the area in front of the reception, but they talked so loudly that the noise still interfered with rest. At the same time, you will not find employees in the restaurant when you need to order food or pay, they are all relaxing there for their own pleasure. The hotel has its own sun loungers on the beach, but the restaurant staff tried to kick us out from there on the first day and insisted that we should order something in the restaurant, this spoiled the impression, of course. It is strange that the hotel has a restaurant, but no breakfast, it would be more convenient with breakfast. At 9 am, large groups of Chinese tourists are brought to the restaurant, in principle, as in other neighboring restaurants on the first line. The room is not bad, but old, the bed is comfortable, the TV only has Thai channels. The toilet in the bathroom is leaking, the faucet, apparently the same is on the floor above, because water was dripping from the ceiling and there is mold on the ceiling, and in the toilet itself there is no ventilation and a terrible smell of mold. There is no toilet paper, in front of the entrance to the toilet there is a holder with thin napkins, which is very inconvenient. We lived on the 1st floor, since among us there were people with disabilities, in front of the room there is a table and two chairs, but sitting in front of the restaurant toilet is not at all pleasant. Also, the employees in this place eat their own food and sometimes the smells are very unpleasant. The hotel is for very unpretentious visitors, but the sea is wonderful and two steps from the beach. On the main street there are many restaurants, massages, two 7-11, currency exchange. It's a couple of minutes' drive from the ferry.

TToto LawyerThis trip, we booked two rooms, came with 4 friends. The accommodation did not have a shuttle bus, but we rented a car from the pier for 100 baht. The receptionist was friendly. We stayed on the 3rd floor, the stairs were very steep. Elderly people should avoid it. Fortunately, there were staff to help carry our bags up for us. The view from up was beautiful and made us feel less tired.
⭐The room was in a minimalist style, fully equipped, but the room was quite old. You can see from the cracks in the floor tiles. The curtains had black mold stains. The bathroom ventilation fan had a lot of dust. The pillow was sagging and uncomfortable to sleep on, but the bed was comfortable and usable. The water flow from the sink faucet was very weak, but the shower water flowed moderately.
⭐There is a cafe in the accommodation, but no restaurant. You have to walk along the beach to eat outside, but it is not far. In front of the beach, there are chairs to sit and relax, but after 5 pm, the staff will come to inform us that they will ask to take the chairs because they are getting off work. In my opinion, I think they should have extended the time a bit. The guests were sitting and relaxing, which could have ruined the mood.
⭐The breakfast tasted okay. We could tell the staff when we wanted to eat it, between 8-10 am, but our room had to sit and eat in front of the room. In the morning, the sun was shining, and it was quite hot.
⭐In summary, the accommodation is not expensive, the service is good, the view is beautiful, that's it.

DDaMeiI stayed here for a few days with friends. We checked in on a Sunday and the staff was able to put our 4 rooms together. So the patio space outside our rooms felt like a shared living room, it was lovely.
The resort is right beside the beach, which was a relief because I have some limited mobility.
Bed was comfy, shower was hot, included some water and snacks each day.
The staff was amazing booking my return to Bangkok after checkout. They handled booking the speed boat ride and taxi to pick me up at the mainland. No stress!

BBartZelfService here was really bad, they didn’t clean the room and only put two water bottles at the door. For new towels or to ditch the trash, I had to go to the front desk myself. What’s more, the bathroom area is really weird, the wall isn’t high enough, so you hear people in the room next to you taking a bath, and their light and sound comes in. The grid in the back of the room doesn’t even have glass, giving free access to mosquitoes and bugs. When I told the staff this was problematic, they weren’t very helpful and just showed that all rooms were like this. Wouldn’t recommend, it’s not worth the money. Service really bad.

Bungalow inside with two sleeping places, a large bed and a small one, the bungalow is clean. Just without excess. The water pressure is poor and the hot water runs out quickly. The air conditioner works well.

MMarinaОстанавливаемся в этой гостинице второй год. Расположена она очень удачно в самом центре пляжа возле пирса и парковки. Можно добраться сразу на катере, а если от парома на тук-туке, то надо смотреть, чтобы привезли в этот поворот, потому что часто привозят в первый поворот к другим гостиницам, а оттуда по песку с чемоданами далеко и неудобно. Эта дорога прямо в центре пляжа, они идет к зданию охраны заповедника. В прошлом году был новый ремонт, мебель не новая, но все работает. В прошлом году не было ТВ каналов, но был Youtube, в этом году не брали фильмы с собой, понадеялись, что посмотрим в Youtube, но он теперь не работает, только ТВ каналы на тайском, в основном новости и реклама. Хотя это странно, в гостинице жили только иностранцы, можно было хоть один канал на английском подключить или оставить Youtube. В гостинице всего 6 номеров, рядом массаж и ресторан соседней гостиницы. В отличие от соседних гостиниц в этой есть свои лежаки на пляже, очень удобно. Управляющий плохо говорит по-английски, но всегда очень дружелюбный и старается во всем помочь, проблем в коммуникации не было. В этом году стало намного больше туристов на пляже, стало много лодок и катеров, такого спокойствия и умиротворения как в прошлом году уже нет, но вода очень чистая, песок белоснежный, все еще похоже, что это заповедник.

WWisuta PWe had a lovely stay at this hotel! As a couple, we found it to be the perfect getaway. The hotel is really nice—everything was clean and well-maintained. Our room was comfortable and spotless, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location is fantastic, just a short distance from both the town and the beach, making it easy to explore. Plus, there’s a scooter rental nearby, which was great for getting around quickly and easily. Overall, everything was great, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
