"The hotel is in a very good location! There is a bus stop right outside the door, and it is easily accessible. It is 200 meters away from Fayu Temple. Whether in the early morning or in the evening, it is very convenient to go to Fayu Temple to listen to the morning bells and evening drums. There are also convenient restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel! The hotel service is thoughtful. The housekeeper Xiao Liang contacted us one day in advance to arrange pick-up and plan the route. Putuoshan Haitian Buddhist Kingdom is a good place to meditate and cultivate the mind!"

"Great! I chose this hotel by accident. Their environment and room service are perfect. There is an old manor castle hidden in the mountains. The facilities are super luxurious. I thought the lobby on the first floor was a luxury club in a TV series. The cafe on the left side of the lobby is very retro and luxurious, and there is a large business conference room on the right side of the lobby. The marble staircase is perfect for taking photos everywhere. Whether it is the restaurant, lobby or corridor, it is a perfect blockbuster. SSharpPutoshan is well off the foreigner travel path and information in English is limited. That the nearest train station is a few hours away in Ningbo only makes it more complicated. That’s why I was happy to find this homestay/hotel with its helpful English speaking owner “良筑”. I called and he added me on WeChat to give me advice and drop me pins (hint:the “south” bus station in Ningbo is adjacent to the train station, next to the taxi queue). He explained where the four main sightseeing spots on the island were and gave me advice about how to tackle them in a day. As for the hotel itself, perfectly fine: clean and comfortable and affordable. Only disadvantage is it’s about a 10-15 minute drive to the ferry building, about an hour walk. But it’s easy to catch taxis to the hotel and then 良筑 will drive you back to town (about 20 rmb each way). Also, immediately across the street is an enormous new Buddhist temple with a really beautiful interior that I would have missed seeing if I hadn’t stayed at this hotel. It needs at least an hour. The nearby town is small but has many seafood restaurants. All in all, if you’re a foreigner with limited Chinese ability hoping to visit Putoshan, then this is probably the right hotel for you as 良筑 will help you to plan and organize your visit. Plan to arrive by midday and stay for two nights. You can see it all in that time.

QQingqiuruhuatuikeaiThe boss is very nice, and there are two lovely volunteer sisters. It's fun like a dream. The boss and the two lovely volunteer sisters live a loving life by the sea. I like their atmosphere very much. I want to give my cat to the boss sister so that the cat can live a good life. Although it is a youth hostel, it is no worse than a hotel. (The hotels on the island are of varying quality. Instead of spending five or six hundred to find a so-so one, it is better to have the boss sister's youth hostel.) The house is warm and romantic, and there is a breath of life everywhere. It's so romantic to face the sea and watch them paint.

GGuest UserThe restaurant has a 180° sea view and a sea-to-sky swimming pool, which is very impressive. The boss gave us a cappuccino for a simple breakfast. The boss was very nice. Three children and four adults were accommodated during the family trip without feeling crowded. There were children's tents and parent-child sofas. The pick-up and drop-off service was very convenient, which improved the efficiency of the entire trip. The pick-up driver was very helpful We made an appointment to watch the sunrise at the uninhabited village and Dongya cliff. The cost was very reasonable and the scenery was beautiful. A very recommended hotel, you can enjoy star service in a small rural fishing village.

MMaria13579One of our best stays in China! This place was absolutely amazing. The ladies running it are hilarious and always made us laugh.
First of all - the rooms are really good for the price. We got upgraded to a much better room after our first night, free of charge. It’s also conveniently located next to grocery shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach, while still being a little out of the way from the hustle and bustle.
The food here is really good too - the (included) breakfast as well as what you can buy for lunch/dinner is really fresh. Because of the language barrier they tried to accommodate by providing more “western style” breakfasts for us, but when we realized and asked about it they made us a second breakfast that was like the one everyone else got.
They also helped us out with a driver to take us to the abandoned village, and booked our tickets back to Shanghai.
Also, the aircon here is FAST and reliable which we’ve realized isn’t a given after a few weeks in China. So that’s another (small yet important) plus for sure!
Usually I like to explore different places and stay at different accommodations if/when I revisit places, but I’d probably make an exception and stay here again if I ever come back to visit the island!

Someone from the hotel will take you to the pier, and the staff will also help upgrade the room type! There is also a small restaurant downstairs, and the hairtail fish is fresh and delicious!

CCheungAmandaWe love everything about Healray Collection. Our flight arrived late, and took a late ferry over to the Island. Luckily they had shuttle service from and to Ferry, which made it so much easier than calling a car service. When we arrived, they assisted us unloading the luggage. Our room got excellent view and could see the Guan Yin statue from our room. I'm OCD, so cleanliness is very important to me and I approved. We booked two nights, sadly we were only able to stay one night due to a Gale warning. The hotel had such a great customer service, when we were sightseeing, they gave us a call to inform us that they received a Gale warning and that the ferry will not operate the next day. They gave us an option to stay or refund us the one night if we wished to checkout to catch the ferry. They were very helpful and resourceful in that respect. The manager Zhou Min reached out to our online booking to verify our refund. We were very pleased and amazed with their extraordinary service. I personally would definitely refer and book with them again. I care about service and they have one of the best service I've had experienced.

VVictor RUWe had a lovely stay at Sea Cliff Hotel for May 1st break.
This is what I liked:
- buying ship ticket for May holiday was mission impossible, starting with Tickets App not accepting foreign passports. Hotel helped me with arranging the tickets both ways, even after there were no tickets online (sold out in 20 min)
- they arranged a pick us up on arrival and brought us back to the pier on departure
- hotel has an excellent sea view location, very silent and sea centric rooms, same for restaurant
- everything is modern, I specifically liked ability to share Apple screens on TV in the room, great way to review photos and watch own movies in the evening
- good breakfast 8 to 9AM, you can come 8:45 and enjoy a late breakfast as well; we also had late lunch in hotel restaurant on arrival, great food, great to seat outside, flexible working hours (not closed 14-17!), actually I liked their meals more than what we had on the main beach top restaurant, finally reception can brew you a coffee though bit hot
- there is 20 min walk from the hotel for a great bay and coffee place to watch sunset, excellent experience and no need to wake up early
- hotel was always online on WeChat to address any issues or questions, including how to organize a day, fantastic services!
- hotel has own beach area, looks like good to swim, I will consider for summer, water is clean on the island, and this is just couple of hours from Shanghai
- small drawback: fishing boats pass by from early morning, this may disturb your morning sleep ;)
- other thing the bed is a bit too hard for my back, but where did you see soft beds in China?

I booked the All Seasons because I stayed there before and it was very clean. There are not many chain hotels on the island. The price is a little expensive, about 1,500.
Let's talk about the advantages first.
1. There is a shuttle bus to the pier, which is very convenient.

5. There is no refrigerator...
