Family-friendly Hotels in Taichung

Will not come again. This was a horrible experience, I used to stay at this hotel many times years ago, but clearly this is not that same hotel anymore. Staff was friendly, but it was quite chaotic when we checked in, we could not find the bell boy to leave our bags. Breakfast was a joke, we sat in ridiculously low chairs for breakfast, and when I saw the manager, note, the manager not a waitress, picked up a bottle of yogurt from the floor and put back to the bowl for guest, it was quite shocking to me so I asked her why did she do that, she simply said to me ”it's not broken”. What a hotel！！

Booked through Ctrip's new user discount, the VIP king room is priced at 3061 per night on weekdays. The hotel is located on Taiwan Avenue, which is a traffic artery in Taichung City. It is very convenient. It is about 10 minutes' drive from Fengjia Tourist Night Market. The room is decorated in a classic style. The bed is moderately soft and hard, and I find it comfortable and easy to sleep in. The swimming pool saunas are open, and reservations are required before using the saunas. The breakfast menu is rich, including Taichung's special fried noodles with Dongquan chili sauce. The freshly squeezed juice is delicious. My boyfriend who lives with me also likes the breakfast dishes. Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taichung is considered a five-star hotel with a high CP value in Taiwan. Although the building and equipment have a sense of age, they feel that they have been carefully maintained. I will visit again next time I come to Taichung!

This is our 3rd visit to this hotel due to its proximity to Fengjia Night Market. Room is clean, but maintenance of the room can be improved. Room aircon temperature cannot be adjusted. Window view is disappointing as you can only see the wall of the other building. Hotel staff are polite and their service is pretty SOP. Breakfast selection is decent and food quality is pretty good.

The staff were friendly and check-in experience was good. I left my luggage a day before my stay and they safe keep for me in their office. I booked a double room and room size was big enough and cosy. No bottles of drink water in room but can get warm/cold water from dispense at common area. Breakfast, don't expect to get many varieties, but enough to fill your stomach. Although it said bf starts at 7am, when I was there at that time, staff still preparing. Location is just a short walk to fourth credit union, also 10mins to train station.

Like: The hotel has big room to accommodate 5/6 persons. Clean. Spacious Next to sogo with many food and shopping Bathtub Dislike: Breakfast was cold, but they changed some of the varieties everyday

Is nice hotel with good service. Evening there is live music in cafe “ meet “. Really enjoy. Front desk staffs extremely friendly. Good value for price.

The room is big for a solo traveler. Was very happy that the staff gave a room with bathtub in it. Will definitely come back again. Very near to the famous night market. 

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night but fell in love with everything in this hotel, It is a superb location only a few steps from TRA Taichung, near Miyahara ice-cream and also you can walk to a little canal in the middle of town. The room was clean, the toilet had a bidet, a huge bed, and the room had a view, good breakfast, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Recommend to everyone, if I come back to Taichung next time I will definitely stay at Norway Forest Travel Hotel again.

Clean is small but super clean and comfy. Breakfast choice was good and changed every day throughout the entire 3 days of stay. The additional plus point would be the free laundry room at Ground Floor which you can wash for your clothes and dry them free. Staffs are polite and kind to assist you with any enquires that you have. All in all, a pleasant stay at City Inn Hotel (Taichung) and would return again for the same hotel the next trip. Lastly kudos to staff - Emma who has helped to maintain the cleanliness of Room 701 throughout the entire 3 days. Appreciate your effort. Thank you 😊

The room is spacious and has a super comfortable jacuzzi. The breakfast is rich, varied and delicious. The environment is clean and comfortable. Only the system equipment is a bit strange. When the main control light is turned off and the TV is turned off, there is music playing. I thought it was the tenant next door playing loudly. Regarding music, I later checked and found out that the music in the master control system also needs to be turned off. This design is a bit troublesome.
