Amazing
AAnonymous UserThey say Australian hotels have bad service, and I experienced this first-hand. Even at a 5-star hotel, the mini-bar was constantly forgotten during daily cleanings in both rooms I booked, which were on different floors. Also, during breakfast, genuinely friendly staff were few and far between. Out of all the days I stayed, only two female staff members greeted guests with a smile. On April 5th, the front desk was manned by a male attendant in a brown suit, with a brush cut and a beard. My parents arrived before me, so he gave them three English menus. When I arrived, I asked him for a Chinese menu. He said 'okay,' but I waited for a very long time, and he never brought it. During this time, I asked two other staff members about it. I told them I needed a Chinese menu, and they both said 'okay,' but none of them brought it to me. I waited for a very, very long time! I couldn't wait any longer, so I took an English menu myself and went to the front desk to exchange it. As I walked towards the front desk, the same male attendant with the brush cut and beard also walked over. I then told the female attendant at the front desk that I needed a Chinese menu. The male attendant then came over and *actually said* he was also looking for a Chinese menu 🙄. In reality, menus in various languages are usually available at the front desk. And normally, when they check guests in, they ask what language they prefer and provide the appropriate menu. The staff on duty that day hadn't placed Chinese menus on the counter and then delayed providing them when guests asked. I don't want to bring up 'discrimination against Chinese people,' but the attitude of prioritizing foreign guests while neglecting Chinese guests is unacceptable. I will absolutely never choose Capella again!

YYinweiyouniyishengkuaileThe hotel's location is fantastic, right above Wynyard Station on the airport line, making it a quick 20-minute journey. It's also within walking distance to famous attractions and great restaurants. The decor is modern and stylish, and the place is very clean. The service was exceptional; Crystal at the front desk checked us in and thoughtfully informed us about the complimentary water, coffee, tea, and co-working space available upstairs. Our room was tidied promptly and kept clean daily. My only minor gripe is that getting in and out of the bed was a bit inconvenient for the person sleeping on the inside. Overall, highly recommended!

AAsiaFamTravelsA bit of a hit and miss. Some things were brilliant (great barista made coffee at breakfast! Eco friendly with even their teabags!) and some things were not so brilliant (massive queues to check in and check out as only 2 desks! Only found out on the last day of our 6 day stay that there was a breakfast menu you can order from and not only eat from the buffet but staff never offered it! Random maintenance men entering our room at 9am even thought we pre-agreed the time was to be 12 noon! No heating in first room leading to a change in rooms but without a bathtub and without apologies! Had to wait til 1am for a small portable fan heater to be delivered and heat the room! Credit offered for no heating not actually being applied to the final invoice! Room service ordering app doesn’t work! Etc etc). After my complaints were raised Emma did her best to try to help.

BbluehairClose to the airport. I met two young people who had flown from Melbourne to Sydney, and walked over from Sydney's domestic terminal. The room facilities are a bit dated, but it probably would have been considered a five-star hotel in the 90s. There's only one power outlet on one side of the bed. Some light switches aren't by the bedside, so you have to get out of bed to turn them off, like the hallway light. The room is quiet. There's a hotel shuttle running all day between Sydney's three terminals. It costs 12 AUD per person. It takes about 20 minutes to reach T1, the furthest terminal. If there are many people, a taxi would be more cost-effective. Breakfast is a simple Western style. For Chinese options, there's congee with pickled vegetables. The pickled vegetables were fermented bamboo shoots, similar to those found in Luosifen (river snail noodles), haha.

GGuest UserLet's start with the positives: - Location is perfect, 5min away from Circular Quay, 10min walk from the shopping area of Pitt street. Right in the city center. - Staff is nice, giving small gift to our kid. Breakfast is also quite good. - We were able to do an early check-in at 10am without surcharge, which was very nice after an overnight flight. Now for the negatives: - Room is small and basic for a 5 star hotel, shower room is very simple, you'd expect more for a premium brand like Mariott at a price of 500 AUD for a night. - The harbor bridge view room is absolutely not worth it: you need to be at your window and looking on the right to see it. Completely useless. The real view is currently a construction site. Very disappointing. - Cleaning is not done properly: there were still some crumbs on the floor after the room was cleaned, and worth, there were 3 pairs for previous guests slippers under the bed! To conclude, it's not worth it. Next time I'll probably stay again at the Shangri-La for a similar pricing.

GGuest UserWe had an amazing honeymoon stay at Pullman Sydney Hyde Park! The room was gorgeous and the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. They helped us sort out sightseeing plans around the city and even recommended an online same‑day Hunter Valley wine tour, which turned out to be a highlight. Big thanks to the whole team for making our honeymoon so memorable. Highly recommend! I attached a photo of the view from our room.

AAlina .HThe hotel had a great location and the staff were very friendly. I could accept the interior cleaning every two days. However, the most significant drawback was that on the last day, check-out was at 11:00 AM. At 10:30 AM, I was changing in the living room when the cleaning staff walked right in. This startled me greatly, and I immediately and angrily told him it wasn't check-out time yet. This was truly the only minor flaw of the four nights.

GGuest UserThe hotel ticks a lot of boxes, clean modern rooms, pool and steam room, and in the best location, very central over looking the beach. The hotel has just had a refurbishment, very tidy with a good bar and restaurant on the ground floor. Only slight negative, front dest - check in could be better and a bit more friendly. If you want to stay in Manly, this hotel is your best choice, the other main hotel is way down at the end of the beach.

GGuest UserWe had a brilliant experience at the Langham for our wedding anniversary! I forgot how much I like the Langham brand. From the pink ribbon around the toilet paper to the sleep ammenities (we asked for the sleep pillow mist and the room diffuser) to the suggested third eye massage technique and the chamomile tea before bedtime, we felt totally pampered and taken care of. Reservation was made for our celebratory dinner with fine steak dinner over the fantastic view of the Opera House. In room breakfast was delivered on time and the quantity copious. The Spanish bell boy was helpful and friendly. We were also upgraded to a harbour view room to our delight. Location was convenient to walk either to Barangaroo or the Rocks, for ferry ride or metro. Very pleased to have chosen The Langham, it was absolutely the right decision for us!

AAnonymous UserVery nice view from our room widows. There are full of different types restaurants on the ground floor. But If you close the window, the sound proof is excellent which I typically want to recommend. Stuffs are friendly and helpful, willing to give you recommendations if you are first-time visitors. They even wrote a welcome card. They have a ballroom here just opposite the reception, holding different personal events every night. I like the vibe which means it's popular place and safe. The hotel is friendly to those who travel with dogs. They have special bed and food for dogs. But we didn't need it and the dog net door barked very early in the morning. We were OK with it. At the other aspect, the hotel goes too much. The breakfast is allllll for vegetarians. Yes, all. As a guest, you are left with no choice. This is the only point that I particularly hate. Be whatever you like, just don't push others to do the something, especially when you are running a business.
