Sydney Hotels with Wifi

"I got a package of breakfast, plus a $50 daily meal voucher and parking. Though we didn't drive there. By doing that we saved quite a lot. The food of in room dining was amazingly delicious, but not cheap. Using the $50 voucher we didn't have to pay much extra. We are not big eaters, so a couple of meals shared, was enough for us. We spent most of our time in the Casino and if you don't go overboard it can be a lot of fun. I was disappointed that Messina in the food court doesn't open until 3pm. We are not young so walking around is a challenge and I couldn't see anywhere else that had ice cream. The Staff are helpful and courteous. This time I booked a suite, which was nicer than the standard room. I did think that the bathroom would have a bath, but it only had a shower. I liked that it had 2 toilets and both were quite private. Next time I will see if I can get a bath. The food in the Harvest Buffet is ok, but most of the time it's not very hot. On our last day we had the Chef make us an omelette. Wish I had done that on the other days. Orange juice was nice. Coffee was luke warm and bitter. Our Son is a Chef, so our food standards are high. I don't like to criticise, but I do think that I should be honest with my experience. Yes I will definitely go there again and it was worth what I paid for."

"The location was perfect, and there was two hairdryers provided in the bathroom. We stayed in a triple room, but the beds weren’t very comfortable. Whenever one person moved, the bed shook and woke me up. However, considering the price, location, and the helpfulness of the staff, overall it was a great stay."

"I want to specially thank the two lovely ladies in my photo, Caroline and Linh. Whenever I encountered a problem and brought it to their attention, they were both incredibly enthusiastic and helpful in resolving it. A special shout-out goes to Linh, the manager on duty that day. In my eyes, she's an angel with a beautiful heart. When I told her about the issue I was facing, she promptly and exceptionally resolved it. I feel very fortunate to have met her on my last day staying at the Shangri-La. I had booked a total of three nights, and the first two nights were not pleasant. When I reported issues to the manager on duty at the time (a Korean lady, whose name I've forgotten and don't wish to remember, she was incredibly arrogant and unreasonable, I truly don't understand how she holds a managerial position), I received no respect whatsoever. Instead, she used her position to intimidate me. When she said she couldn't resolve it, I asked if I could speak to her manager. She arrogantly said she *was* the manager, implying that speaking to anyone else wouldn't help and she wouldn't change my room. I told her fine, and the next morning I went to the front desk to find another manager to request a refund for the third night's room charge, as the current room was not what I wanted. Originally, encountering this problem left me with some regret, but thanks to Manager Linh's thoughtful and efficient help in resolving it properly, she not only dispelled my troubles but also transformed this experience from regrettable into a perfectly wonderful memory! Her professional and warm service made me feel so comforted and cared for. Thank you for your dedication, I will definitely come again next time~💛"

"I had previously stayed here for one night because of an early flight, and I thought it was pretty good. Having a shuttle service is really important! So, when I returned to Sydney from Cairns, I chose this place again and stayed for two nights. It's about a 15-minute walk to Mascot Station, which makes it very convenient to get to the city center. The price is also significantly cheaper than in the city, so it's a good option. Near Mascot Station, there are restaurants, supermarkets, and even a drugstore, which is quite convenient."

"The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Mascot train station. I'd rather take the train to the Domestic Airport station, exit at T3, then take bus 350 (towards Bondi Junction) for two stops. Get off there and walk for 2 minutes. The hotel is close to the airport, but there's no complimentary shuttle service, and it costs about AUD 12. If I didn't have heavy luggage, public transport would actually be much more convenient and cheaper. The staff were friendly. The room was generally clean and comfortable. The in-room Wi-Fi was decent, but the TV channels weren't appealing, and screen mirroring wasn't available. Buffet breakfast, if paid separately, costs AUD 35. What I appreciated most was the complimentary small carton of milk in the fridge."

"My stay at The Pod Sydney was generally positive, especially considering I was traveling solo and staying in a mixed dorm. The Location deserves a perfect 5/5. It is truly exceptional—right in the heart of the city and just steps away from public transport, making it incredibly easy to get to all the main attractions. Cleanliness was also very good (4/5). The common areas and bathrooms were well-maintained and tidy. However, I rated both Service and Facilities as Okay (3/5). While the staff was courteous, the check-in process felt a bit slow, and I didn't feel the communal facilities truly stood out. For instance, the common room felt small for the number of guests. Overall, if a prime location and good cleanliness are your top priorities as a solo traveler, The Pod Sydney is a solid choice. Just manage your expectations regarding the facilities and service efficiency."

"The room facilities were on par with a basic guesthouse in China. The hotel itself is quite large, with dozens of rooms on each floor, and the furnishings and design are similar to budget hotels in China. Before coming, I was really worried about hygiene because of many negative reviews online, but once I arrived, I found that they clean the rooms daily. The receptionist at the front desk was very friendly and effectively helped us solve our issues. I was also worried about noise due to poor soundproofing, but we actually stayed for 7 nights and it was very quiet the whole time. Even though the hotel is next to Thai Town and near Chinatown, it wasn't noisy at all. The internet, however, was really bad. You could only get a smooth connection in the common areas! The best spot for internet in the room was the toilet! I hope the hotel can improve this, otherwise, it's a real deterrent for guests!"

"Location wise, it's close to North Sydney Station. Metro station, Victoria Cross, is a few more minutes down the road. Plus, easy access to various bus routes nearby. Room is spacious in size. Kitchen has all essential utensils. Washer and dryer are placed behind a door to make a private utility section. Very neat and tidy. Bedroom has a comfy bed and a wardrobe in good size. Bathroom is in a good size too with a separate shower cubicle. The only downside is shower is very noisy. Guess there is a water pump behind the wall. Water pressure of the shower is sort of weak. I specially requested for a quiet room on the high floor but was placed in mid level only. One of the days, the internet was down from morning till late afternoon. Found it inconvenient as I needed to work in the room. Nonetheless, this hotel is of good value. I'd consider Meriton Suites again for my future Sydney trips."

"This hotel is very close to Sydney Airport, making it perfect for early morning flights or layovers. The room was clean and tidy, with good soundproofing and a very comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and efficient, making both check-in and check-out a smooth experience. The facilities are comprehensive, the overall environment is quiet, and it offers great value for money. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Sydney."

A small issue though: when I called room service from my room phone, the hotel staff didn't seem to know which room number the call was coming from, which felt a bit odd."
