AAnonymous UserThe location is absolutely unbeatable, right in the heart of Melbourne's city center. Stepping out, you're immediately at St. Paul's Cathedral and Federation Square, with major shopping areas and attractions all within walking distance, making getting around and shopping incredibly convenient. The hotel itself boasts a style of understated luxury. The rooms are spacious, with a high-quality decor, and the bathroom amenities are top-notch, ensuring a very comfortable stay.
The service throughout was attentive and thoughtful, with professional and detailed concierge and turndown services that were promptly delivered. The breakfast spread was extensive, offering a full range of both Chinese and Western options with fresh ingredients. The only minor downsides were that the building has some age, with a few facilities showing their years, and during peak breakfast hours, it can get crowded with a slightly slower refill rate for dishes. Overall, it remains a prime choice among Melbourne's high-end hotels, perfect for both business trips and leisure stays.
AAnonymous UserHad a comfortable stay for 3 nights. Hotel about 15-20mins walk from city centre and can pop onto tram in free tram zone. Toilet bowl had a smelly drainage smell which holds presence in the air everytime you flush, was pretty unpleasant.

GGuest UserIf you’re looking for a stylish, central place to stay in Melbourne, Quay West Suites delivers in all the important areas.
📍 Prime Location
Quay West’s address on Flinders Lane puts you right in the heart of everything. A few steps takes you to the iconic Yarra River, Federation Square, and Melbourne’s best shopping and café districts. Whether you’re in town for business, arts, or dining, having public transport, laneways, and nightlife within easy walking distance is a huge convenience.
✨ Impeccable Cleanliness
From the moment you enter the foyer, the high standard of cleanliness across public areas and suites is clear. Plush carpets, sparkling bathrooms, and neatly made beds—everything felt fresh and immaculate throughout my stay. Housekeeping did a flawless job refreshing the room each day without ever interrupting my schedule.
👨💼 Friendly, Attentive Service
Customer service here is both professional and warm. Front desk staff greeted me by name and were quick to offer directions, recommend hidden-gem eateries, and help with luggage. Room service was punctual, meals were presented beautifully, and every staff interaction made me feel genuinely welcome—not just another guest.
🧭 Thoughtful Facilities
It’s the little things at Quay West that stand out:
• A well-equipped kitchenette in each suite––perfect for a relaxing breakfast or a quick late-night snack.
• In-room laundry facilities saved me from hunting down laundromats mid-trip.
• The comfortable lounge and communal spaces offer a quiet place to work or unwind.
• Gym and heated indoor pool, both kept spotless and perfect for a post-city exploration cooldown.

Ccharlene0506The location is excellent, within walking distance to the Royal Arcade, State Library, Flinders Street Station, and the Royal Botanic Gardens. Plus, tours pick up just 500 meters from the hotel, which is super convenient. The Hilton's interior is exquisite. We got a great deal during the off-peak season, though the price was a bit higher during our stay due to Melbourne's carnival and racing events. Some toiletries aren't provided, but you can always ask the front desk. Daily housekeeping was spotless.

GGuest UserI was really looking forward to staying at this hotel, and my first day was great. The pool facilities were excellent, and I even had the whole pool to myself when I went for a swim. However, on the second day, when I returned to my room at 10:30 PM, it hadn't been cleaned at all. There was just a sign saying to notify them if I needed housekeeping. Seriously, at 10:30 PM, do I have time to wait for them to clean a room that hasn't been touched, with nothing moved? I'm extremely disappointed with W's service. This isn't even peak season for the hotel, why wasn't the room cleaned? Is it because they knew I was only staying two nights, so they treat a solo guest like this? I can't accept it. I don't even bother calling to complain anymore.

GGuest UserDear Hotel Management Team,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent stay at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park, and I wish to lodge a formal complaint.
During my stay, I encountered the following issues:
1. **Inadequate Room Preparation**
* The mini-bar in my room was completely empty.
* I had booked a twin room, but was provided with a king room, which did not match my reservation.
2. **Unprofessional and Unhelpful Service from Front Desk Staff Member Chris**
* When I reported that the QR code for in-room dining was not working, she merely suggested I go to the bar to order, without attempting to resolve the QR code issue or offering an alternative. Upon going to the bar, I was informed that food service only began after 12 PM, and it was approximately 9 AM at the time. This meant I was unable to obtain any food or beverage service.
* When I reported that the TV in my room was not working, she simply responded with ”ok.” She did not inform me that maintenance would be arranged, nor did she provide any timeframe. Consequently, a maintenance person entered or knocked on my door without prior notification while I was showering, which made me feel very uncomfortable and disturbed.
The aforementioned issues severely impacted my stay and fell far short of my basic expectations for your hotel brand.
I look forward to your response.
GGuest UserThis is an older five-star hotel with decent service. Its location is similar to Tsim Sha Tsui East in Hong Kong – quiet, with many famous shops, bars, and Western restaurants nearby. However, you'll notice a lot of tourists around when you step outside.
The breakfast is pretty good and acceptable, offering standard fare like bread, eggs, coffee, cheese, ham, and fruit – all the daily essentials.
The main drawback is that the hotel is too close to the two adjacent buildings. There are very few rooms with a view; most rooms get little to no sunlight throughout the day and require the curtains to be drawn almost constantly.
The bathroom is particularly bad. The shower screen only covers half the area, so water inevitably splashes all over the floor, making it a mess. This means you often have to use bath towels to dry the floor, leading to constantly wet carpets and very dirty towels in the long run.

GGuest UserFor my 21-day trip to Australia, I stayed in 11 hotels across Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Here's my ranking of the best to worst experiences (with value for money considered):
1. Capella Sydney (low value for money)
2. Park Hyatt Melbourne (high value for money)
3. InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto (medium value for money)
4. Crown Towers Melbourne (high value for money)
5. Le Méridien Melbourne (medium value for money)
6. Hilton Adelaide (medium value for money)
7. The Langham Melbourne (low value for money)
8. Citadines on Bourke Melbourne (best value for money)
9. Meriton Suites Waterloo, Sydney (high value for money)
10. Best Western Plus Travel Inn Hotel Melbourne (low value for money)
11. The Hotel Windsor Melbourne (worst value for money)
Now, let's talk about the InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto. Like The Windsor, it's a heritage hotel, and its beauty is undeniable. It truly looks like a 19th-century Neo-Gothic Venetian castle! Located in the heart of Collins Street, it's one of InterContinental's most luxurious heritage hotels worldwide. When you stay here, you can't help but spend time exploring, as both the exterior and interior decor are magnificent, and the room facilities are top-notch. It's definitely worth a stay.

马马丽We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is great — a pleasant area that isn’t overcrowded with tourists. The rooms are excellent, with large queen-size beds, which was very important for us. The hotel also offers a good range of facilities, including a pool, sauna, and breakfast. While the breakfast is not very extensive, it is perfectly sufficient for a few days and includes all the essentials. There is also an option to order food, which is very convenient. We would definitely be happy to return to this hotel on our next visit to Melbourne. A big thank you to the staff for everything!
