We initially booked just two nights at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, but the outstanding service we received made us extend our stay—and I’m so glad we did. The level of attentiveness and genuine care shown by the staff truly elevated our experience. One moment that stood out was during breakfast. My husband asked a staff member at the pastry section whether the items were halal. She explained it to him politely, and to our surprise, about 15 minutes later, the Assistant Director of the restaurant, Mr. Albert, personally came to our table. He took the time to explain the halal options available and even assured us that eggs could be prepared using separate utensils. While I was getting bread, Mr. Albert noticed and came over again, kindly asking if I would like my eggs prepared then. He immediately instructed the chef to prepare eggs and nuggets for me and told me to sit comfortably while he arranged everything to be brought over. His thoughtfulness and proactive service left a lasting impression. It’s rare to see such initiative and care, and it made me feel confident that I had chosen the right hotel. I will definitely recommend Grand Hyatt Melbourne to my family and friends. The hotel is fortunate to have a staff member like Mr. Albert—he truly deserves recognition for his outstanding hospitality.

Going to be honest one of the worse hotels I have encountered. Whole place from hallway to the room feels like a prison. Bad design there is no door to the toilet, it is open to the whole room, all it take is one person to flush and the whole bed filled with invisible germs. Also when u turn Ling’s on it will disturb everyone. The shower and toilet made of bricks and feels like a public toilet. Really bad design with some silly transparent doors. Wouldn’t recommend.

Situated within the free tram zone, stations are just downstairs if not within a quick walk. The king bed room is large and spacious for easy packing and unpacking. It is new and clean that is the carpet has no smell. It is near Chinatown as well. The location is perfect next to great shopping malls, food options and transport services. They do not provide toothbrushes and room slippers for eco reasons. Check in was fast and smooth. There’s a water station on my floor to get a jug of still or sparkling water.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would stay there again. The room was clean and had everything I needed. I liked the look of the interior and corridors as well. The pool was nice and clean. The location is good, not far from a few different tram stops. It’s also convenient to walk around the whole central area.

First time we stay at Park Hyatt Melbourne and the experience can't be better. The hotel is a little far away from the middle of the city but it has its own advantages such as better gardens, more quiet and also pretty spacious courtyard. The hotel and rooms gave me a touch of the 1900s decoration style, which is pretty impressive. The room was spacious and well equipped, and I was especially loving the Le Labo brand used in the bathroom. The fine dining experience was truly amazing, with pretty good acoustic music. Overral, the stay was pleasant, and I would definitely visit again.

Came here as a ‘staycation’ for one night to celebrate my partners birthday. Service was good, the reception team made us feel so welcomed. Room was clean and the view of the river and bay was superior, as the name of this room type described. 10/10 👍🏼 we also used the gym which had a nice view too!

A hotel with a history of more than 100 years. The room is not small, it is quite good! Although the window of the circle building faces the patio, why is the window frosted so that nothing can be seen? I have to complain about Ctrip's booking. This trip lasted about 20 days, and all the rooms arranged were facing north. After all, I didn't stay for a long time, and I was too lazy to go to the front desk to tell them. The main reason was that many rooms had room cards prepared in advance, and all facing north was also Ctrip's superpower. The hotel has a good location and convenient travel. There was also a protest at the Capitol Building opposite. Back to the hotel, after a long time, the carpet in the lobby has a damp ammonia smell. Although it exudes the atmosphere of age, as a high-end hotel, it still needs to strengthen maintenance.

We stayed altogether three nights here. The hotel was converted from a historical building dated back to 1890s . We enjoyed the stay-included breakfast at Alluvial restaurant. It got charming vibe. the King Classic room we stayed is spacious consider it is in zone 1 of Melbourne. The hotel is in walking distance to many of the Melbourne city attractions we are even able to take some rest in the room in our planned city walking trip in the middle of a very hot summer sunny day. The bathroom provides Byredo toiletries which we like. However, the decor is a bit dated and need refreshing and we are not happy with the service level of the staff. For example, the phone handfree function is not working properly; the safe is according to the hotel ”in the process of replacement” and not working either; the call to ”Instant Service” for help often took more than 5-seconds ring especially during the night time. There is even a false fire alert during one of the morning time of our stay. I doubt it is a standard of Intercontinental hotel or a 5-star rated hotel. For whom consider staying at this room type of this hotel, please note the windows is fixed and facing the hallway so the room has 1. no natural sunlight 2. no fresh air and 3. needs closing the curtains all the time if you prefer privacy. Another point worth noting is the bathroom floor is very slippery after bath, I would call it a death trap if you wear the one-off slippers that is provided in the room as you can easily get a slip and fall on the bathroom floor even for a grown adult.

We are very disappointed with the management of this hotel. We booked seven rooms and chose twin beds (can be a king-size bed or a twin bed). On January 13, we contacted Ctrip customer service to make changes, changing to 2 king-size beds, 4 twin beds, and 1 triple room. After communicating with the hotel, Ctrip customer service replied to the email saying that the change had been made and that the change to a triple room could be paid on the spot. The day before check-in, we specifically called the hotel reservation department and the front desk, but they didn't know about the room type change. We explained the situation over the phone again, and they said they had recorded it. In the evening, we were worried, so a staff member went to the hotel front desk specifically to confirm again. The hotel front desk actually said that they didn't know about this situation, but they could record it. They recorded the required room type on the spot, and then we paid the upgrade fee for the triple room. I thought it would be okay now. As a result, when the guests checked in the next day, there was still a mistake in the room, and the bed was left as a king-size bed. Finally, it took more than half an hour to coordinate and change the room again! ! How can such management be rated as a five-star hotel? ? ?

The hotel is very cleverly designed and its positioning on high floors gives it great views over the city. It is near Marvel Stadium which is good if you attending something there, but not great generally. The staff are attentive and polite. The rooms are modern and clean and have all the facilities you need. (plenty of charging ports) The spa / gym are well appointed although the treatments are unnecessarily expensive. We had two breakfasts at the hotel. Stick to coffee, fresh fruit and eggs as the rest of the dishes were bland and or defrosted including a ”toasted” savoury croissant that was still cold inside.
