A sanctuary of style, the hotel offers the perfect luxury escape. Its unique design marries both exclusivity and comfort allowing guests to feel a sense of home during their stay, whilst transporting you into a world of glamour and opulence. Offering exclusive experiences, exceptional service and boasting views of the Melbourne skyline, Port Phillip Bay and the Dandenong Ranges, this five star hotel has been built with the ultimate in guest experience in mind.

"We arrived late at night, and the front desk clerk's service was a bit passive-aggressive. I've stayed at so many hotels, but I've never seen someone so clearly wanting to shirk their duties but hesitant to do so. The other staff members the next day were great, though. The room was quite small, and the hotel's infrastructure wasn't up to par. The showerhead was initially aimed at us, not the wall, and some basic disposable toiletries were missing without any communication or alternative options. I can understand not providing complimentary disposable items for environmental reasons, but without any eco-friendly signage or communication, and no option to purchase them, it leaves long-distance travelers completely unprepared. I don't think this is the standard for a somewhat decent hotel. The weird attitude from the front desk just made the overall experience even stranger. It's an experience that would make me discourage friends from staying here."

Hotel near Chapel Street,South Yarra
Set on Melbourne's prestigious Chapel Street, THE OLSEN - Art Series Melbourne offers travellers premier South Yarra accommodation with elegant, spacious suites infused with the lyrical works of revered Australian landscape artist Dr John Olsen. A breathtaking sculpture greets you on arrival, and large prints adorn all hallways and suites. This boutique South Yarra accommodation is completed by two delicious restaurants. You will be reveling in the Art of Creature Comforts.

"The Art Series hotels by Accor, while a novel idea years ago, are getting tired and a bit worn down at heel. The Olsen might have started as the belle of Chapel Street but she is definitely showing her age and no longer comes off as the cool influencer. Part of the problem is Accor can't decide what this series wants to be -- luxury hotels with $21 granola or boutique on a budget. The towels are thin, the lighting dim, the amenities screwed to the wall. We were placed in an ”accessible” room, which is a tiresome trick by front desk personnel to those bothering to find a good deal on overpriced lodgings. Mediocre shower, deafening fan, wet floor and soulless vibe. Bare minimum for coffee in room. Looked out our window at the poor souls working in the office across the way as it was better than staring at the curious drapes. Lift your game, Accor."

"The room layout was decent, and the environment was acceptable. However, the water bottle provided in the room was a bit dirty. The check-in benefits were not clearly explained, and it seemed like the bedsheets weren't changed during my three-day stay. The location is excellent for tourists, very close to Chinatown and other city attractions, and it's also quiet."

"Overall, pretty good. It's great for walks along the river, and there's a Woolworths right across the street. Amenities: The pool facilities are well-equipped, with both a sauna and a steam room. However, the pool water was a bit salty, possibly because many people were using it. Maybe it needs more frequent changing. Also, the water pressure for the shower in the room was a bit low, which could be improved. Cleanliness: The room's cleanliness was good. Service: Good. The doorman smiled at me when I got out of the car, and the front desk staff were polite. However, for this price point, bottled water in the room still costs extra. The main issue is its misleading placement – while the mini-bar is obviously paid, the bottled water was placed right next to the tea bags, making it easy to grab and drink, only to find out it was nine dollars a bottle. That's a bit much. Environment: Quite nice. However, the river view wasn't ideally positioned; it was at an angle."

"Nice modern hotel Disappointed with the customer service The checkin experience was robotic, unfriendly and did not show any interest, care or effort to deliver a welcome. The hotel itself is very nice, quality finishes and large rooms. The property has a dedicated service elevator however the housemaids use the guest elevator for transit between floors without any smile, hello or care towards guests. It's also obvious the damage to guest elevator from cleaning carts. Great views, It's a shame this beautiful property is let down by poor customer service and poor management oversight."
