The hotel's location is excellent, right in the CBD, and all the main attractions are within reach of the free tram zone, so you don't even need to buy a Myki card. Across the main road is the Victoria Police Headquarters, and opposite that is Southern Cross Station, making transportation very convenient. It's only a 30-minute taxi ride from the airport. The only downside is the monotonous breakfast selection; I ate there for five days, and it was exactly the same every single day."

"Extremely satisfied with our stay. The location is excellent, it's quiet and clean, and the facilities are complete. Plus, there are two balconies, which provide great ventilation. Most importantly, the service was incredibly thoughtful. We arrived very early in the morning, at 7:30 am, and initially expected to only be able to store our luggage and check in after noon, like most hotels. However, the front desk was so considerate. Seeing how tired we were from our journey, they allowed us to check in immediately, saying we could then rest. It was such a pleasant surprise!"

However, the hygiene was poor; we saw a large cockroach. The facilities are quite old, and the window in the room was drafty. The mattress was too soft and thick, which I personally found very uncomfortable to sleep on."

"A budget hotel by Melbourne standards. Good location in the city center, within walking distance of all the main attractions. It's a 20-25 minute walk to the train station. That's where the positives end (the hotel is tired, and the room has a strange musty smell). The public areas are downright dirty, and cleaning is very poor. They don't clean the room at all, and they don't even take out the trash. But apparently, this is par for the course in Australia, judging by the filth on the streets)."
