YYanggaomeinvTraveling to Harbin with my child, our first stop was the Xana Hotel (Harbin Central Street Sophia Church). The hotel's location is perfect, situated in the middle-north section of Central Street, making it incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. Zhaolin Park is just 100 meters east, across the street, and the main Central Street is 50 meters west. St. Sophia Cathedral is about 500-800 meters away on foot. The hotel lobby was super cozy, offering a stamp check-in and afternoon tea. The staff provided excellent service. Since I hadn't planned my trip and decided to go last minute, I asked about Harbin's specialties. They even added me on WeChat and sent me a guide to dining, entertainment, and attractions around the hotel. The breakfast was incredibly rich, meeting all the nutritional needs (meat, eggs, milk, fruit) required for traveling with a child. On the day of check-out, I decided last minute to take some travel photos with my child near St. Sophia, which delayed our check-out time. The staff kindly extended our check-out until 2 PM for free. All in all, our first stop in Harbin made us feel so warm. If you're staying around Central Street, Xana is definitely the best choice!!! I've already recommended it to many friends since returning to Beijing. 😙😙😙

TTravellingmaudeSeine House was a warm and comfortable place to stay, especially after being out in the cold. The staff were very helpful and genuinely friendly, and they went out of their way to prepare a vegetarian breakfast for us, which was much appreciated.
The rooms have a European Russian style decor with solid wooden furniture, giving the space a classic and cosy feel. The rooms were very clean with no noticeable dust, which made the stay even more comfortable. They are spacious, well heated, and felt like a real relief after long days outdoors. The bed was comfortable, there was a bathtub, and a humidifier was provided, which really helped with Harbin’s dry winter air.
The overall atmosphere is homey rather than hotel like. The location is very convenient, close to Central Street (Zhongyang Street) and Zhongshan Street, and also near the cable car that crosses the Songhua River to Sun Island.
It is worth noting that the hotel is officially non smoking throughout, but some guests did not follow the rules, and the smell occasionally drifted into the corridors and rooms. This was not due to the hotel’s policy, but rather guest behaviour.
Overall, Seine House offers spacious, clean rooms, thoughtful service, and a warm, character filled stay in a good Harbin location, with only minor discomfort caused by guests not observing the non smoking rules.

CChabuduoxiaojie_jingThe location is fantastic, making it easy to get to any attractions. The staff were also very welcoming and upgraded our room. However, on the first night, the room next door was incredibly noisy, which meant I didn't get much sleep. I contacted the front desk around 11 PM, and they quickly sent someone to help resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the other guests were inconsiderate, so it remained noisy, which indicates the soundproofing isn't great. On the second day, after being upgraded to the 5th floor, things were much better. Even though people would talk in the hallway, it didn't affect our sleep at night. The hotel breakfast was also very generous and tasted excellent. Overall, it was a pretty good stay.

You can definitely trust this place. The decor is clean, and the housekeeping staff are all very attentive.
Initially, I considered many guesthouses but they had so many issues, so I decided to go with E-Stay Hotel instead!
No strange smells, super clean, super clean, super clean!
Plus, the gym, laundry room, and tourist attractions are all nearby.

__sallzxGreat location, close to Harbin Railway and the Subway entrance is across the road, please note that there is still a bit of walk to the main subway area but you are underground so wont be as cold during winter (walk across the road into the red brick building and follow sign downstairs to the station). Easy to catch Didi as they stop directly in front and rarely traffic blocking the area. There is also a bus stop at the front - I didnt get a chance to see where they take you but its directly across the road. We walked home from St Sophia’s Church one night and didnt find it too difficult (2 adults, no kids, quite fit) or too far. The hotel buffet breakfast is delicious and a few items do change to give you a taste of Harbin flavours. A chef also cooks noodle and wonton etc for you when you request it at the front. You add your own sauces though. Take a pic of the sign and point if you are unsure what they offer. The ladies at the front desk were also super lovely and helpful, however they dont speak english for non mandarin speakers. One of the pretty lady at the front desk helped me out when my husband was ill at 2am in the morning - and I will forever be super grateful as I was a little stressed. If you want to order *******, the robot delivers the item to your room. Overall experience was awesome and will definitely stay again.

MM312603****We stayed here for a ski trip. Our butler contacted us a day in advance and picked us up as soon as we got off the high-speed train. We were able to check in around 10 AM, which I thought would be much later.
We had lunch on the hotel's first basement floor, and the food was exceptionally delicious and perfectly suited my Cantonese palate.
After skiing, we returned around 4 PM, and the butler brought us a humidifier and some fruit.
Any service we requested in the evening was delivered immediately after a phone call; the response time was incredible.
If it weren't for my teammate getting sick and needing to return to Harbin for treatment, we would have definitely stayed another night, especially since we still had a day trip to Snow Village planned.
When we left for the station, the butler even rode with us to see us off. They were so thoughtful and enthusiastic. Although the weather was cold, it warmed our hearts.

CCandou_This time in Harbin, I chose this hotel primarily for its location and reputation. My two-night stay was quite a 'rollercoaster' – some pleasant surprises, but also some frustrating moments.
There were many highlights that deserve praise:
1. **Thoughtful Room Design**: The decor was warm and stylish, a refreshing change from the usual cookie-cutter business hotels. The bathroom's wet/dry separation was excellent, and the Laifen hairdryer along with the wall-mounted handheld showerhead were definite plusses. It really showcased the hotel's taste and attention to detail.
2. **Breakfast was a pleasant surprise!**: The variety was abundant, and the coffee was superb. I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast every morning. The restaurant service was also fantastic; staff were quick to clear plates, and the whole environment was very clean.
3. **Excellent Service in Public Areas**: The lobby offered complimentary hot water, tea, and coffee, plus shared washer/dryer machines, which was incredibly convenient for families with children.
However, the first day was quite a 'headache':
Upon arrival, we were immediately informed that the elevator was out of order. First, we were directed to find an elevator in a nearby mall, which we couldn't locate. Then, we were told to use a staircase. That staircase was dark and dilapidated. Carrying elderly family members, a child, and a pile of luggage, I grew increasingly anxious, especially since my phone had no signal and I couldn't reach the hotel by phone. Finally, after reaching the first floor, I managed to contact the hotel. Although the front desk promptly sent someone to assist and offered a gift as an apology, the whole process was incredibly stressful. Later that evening, we discovered the elevator was broken again...
In summary:
The hotel has excellent hardware; the breakfast and room details were impeccable. However, encountering continuous elevator malfunctions and misguidance on the first day significantly dampened our initial experience. I hope the hotel can prioritize equipment maintenance and optimize its emergency response procedures. If these issues can be addressed, it would undoubtedly be a five-star hotel that I'd wholeheartedly recommend.

Zzhengying****The room was splendid, though the cleanliness in certain details was just okay. Sun Island is a fun place to explore. The cable car isn't cheap, and the ferry service is often suspended. Even if you're lucky enough to catch a ferry, you'll likely face a long queue. Getting on and off the island involves heavy traffic and driving restrictions. Taxis are hard to come by and require a long wait. Overall, transportation isn't very convenient, and dining options are limited. You can order takeout from off the island. The air on the island is fantastic, truly a natural oxygen bar, but it gets very crowded during the day.

The Sun Island Castle Hotel, located on the scenic banks of the Songhua River, boasts a charming European architectural style. The first floor is home to various small eateries, while the entire second floor is dedicated to the hotel guest rooms. From the third floor, you can directly access the cross-river cable car, and the fourth floor houses the Chocolate Castle Museum. This museum features an incredibly diverse collection of chocolates, and outside, there's an observation deck – a superb spot to admire the Songhua River's night view.
The hotel's location is excellent, offering incredibly convenient transportation. Besides the cable car, you can also take a cruise ship across the river. The sightseeing bus also stops here, making it easy to visit all the attractions on Sun Island, with the freedom to hop on and off as you please.
This time, I stayed in the most affordable ”Viscount Interior Room.” The room was spacious and well-equipped, with furnishings that truly captured the grand essence of a castle. The only minor drawback was the lack of a window, meaning I couldn't enjoy the natural scenery outside – a small regret.
It's worth noting that, compared to the opulent guest rooms, the hotel's front desk seemed a bit understated. The small reception counter is tucked away in a corner on the first floor, which felt a little out of sync with the ”Chocolate Castle” theme. Personally, I suggest designing the front desk in the shape of chocolate and having the reception staff wear more distinctive attire. Wouldn't that better align with the magical theme of this place?
Overall, this was a surprisingly delightful stay, highly recommended for those who appreciate unique hotels.
