"Novotel will be my top choice next time I visit Dalian! Absolutely fantastic! This was the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during my Dalian trip. For the first two days, unfamiliar with the city, I booked a highly-rated hotel online based on its location. To my dismay, it didn't even have blackout curtains, and I was woken up by sunlight shining on my bed past 5 AM. I decisively switched to Novotel, which, coincidentally, is located in the same building. I regret that Novotel wasn't a recommended option when I made my initial booking online. **Location:** Situated in the heart of Zhongshan District, it's near Dalian Times Square (luxury shopping) and very close to Zhongshan Square and the charming Nanshan Street. Its excellent location makes it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. A taxi to Xinghai Square only costs around 10-20 RMB. There are plenty of dining, entertainment, and leisure options in the vicinity. **Ambiance:** The hotel boasts a 'light luxury' design, which feels very comfortable and inviting. It's impeccably clean, fresh, and hygienic, with a complimentary fruit platter provided daily. **Facilities:** The facilities are comprehensive and include everything you'd expect. There's both a laundry room and a well-equipped gym. The on-site restaurant also serves a delicious breakfast! **Service:** The service is exceptionally warm and friendly, truly making you feel at home. The staff are polite and greet you every time they see you. Even the cleaning staff proactively offer a greeting with a smile. The only minor drawback is that it shares elevators with several other hotels, and there's no key card required to access floors directly, which could be a slight security concern."

"The hotel clearly had a nice renovation at some point, and the rooms are very spacious. The sofa was a comfortable spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing. A heated towel rail in the bathroom was a thoughtful touch, making it easy to dry clothes during our trip. However, the hotel itself feels quite dated. The lighting was dim, the air conditioning had an unpleasant odor, and the curtains were torn. On a positive note, the hotel staff were incredibly helpful. We had originally booked a twin room, but upon arrival, we found its window faced a wall of noisy air conditioning units from the adjacent building. When we informed the front desk, they were very accommodating; they came up to our floor and switched us to a king room without us having to go downstairs. Breakfast was also quite good. The hotel's location is superb, with many restaurants nearby, and it's within walking distance of Zhongshan Square. Taxis to any destination were also reasonably priced."

"A hotel worthy of praise, the customer service is very considerate, the service is very warm, the room is very quiet, and the soundproofing is very good. The suite has a washing machine and a microwave, which is very convenient for traveling with children. The children are very happy. There are lollipops and snacks at the front desk. The children go to get candy every day. Thank you 🙏 There are also bunnies in the room. Very warm."

"Overall a good place with a bright design. Location is about 20-25 minutes walking from the train station or 15 minutes from the metro station with a direct link to the airport. It is foreigner friendly, since the friendly staff knows some English or tries to communicate via online translator. The bed was very comfortable, Aircon worked for cooling, WiFi was fast. Two minor flaws: drainage in the shower didn't work well and there was some weird smell in the room when I arrived, but nothing too serious. The breakfast is not a buffet. You'll be served a tray with some food as shown on photo. If you like chicken feet and a prawn in rice porridge for breakfast, you'll love it :) On the flip side, they push you hard to leave them a 5* review when you check out. They even have a special manual for that in several languages. This spoils the overall good impression. In any case, I can recommend this place."

"The front desk service is efficient and friendly, the check-in process is smooth, and they will proactively introduce the hotel facilities and surrounding travel guides. They can also coordinate rooms according to needs and even provide room upgrades during the off-season. They are particularly considerate of special groups such as the elderly and will thoughtfully prepare earplugs and remind guests to use anti-slip clothing."

"The location is very convenient and within walking distance of many tourist attractions and food streets. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We got a free plate of fruits on our first day, and when we checked out, we were given a little goodie bag full of snacks. The water pressure of the shower head is heavenly. It's the best shower head I have ever used in my entire life. It's amazing!!!!"

From the moment I arrived, I felt an immediate sense of comfort and peace, as if a gentle warmth permeated my being. A subtle, pleasant fragrance wafted through the air, and the absolute silence felt dream-like. The bed was incredibly soft, like sleeping on a cloud, and the duvet was wonderfully light. I drifted off to sleep almost instantly and enjoyed a deep, undisturbed rest until the early hours. There were no barking dogs or harsh lights to interrupt my slumber. I had a profoundly peaceful night, waking up completely refreshed, as if transported to another realm of tranquility. The room was meticulously tidy, with everything neatly arranged. I noticed the pristine white sink and the calm, still water, reflecting a sense of peace. The amenities provided were exceptional: fragrant, high-quality soap, incredibly soft towels, and good toothbrushes and bath products that truly lived up to their promise, not just generic items. The room was absolutely spotless, sparkling clean in every corner. Using the facilities felt incredibly refreshing, like washing with pure mountain spring water and rinsing with sweet dew. All the day's dust and fatigue simply melted away, leaving me completely rejuvenated. Outside the window, there was a gentle hum of street life, hinting at a bustling area nearby. Just a few steps downstairs, I found an incredible array of street food stalls. The air was filled with delicious aromas from charcoal grills, and the food was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. From golden fried pancakes resembling sunsets to glistening candied haw, and perfectly grilled squid with a delightful sweet and spicy kick, it was a true culinary treat. Even as night fell, the area remained lively with many people enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. I also loved the convenience of public transportation right on the doorstep, offering easy access to explore widely, whether I wanted to visit distant attractions or simply head to the seaside. This proximity to transport truly made exploring the city effortless. What truly stood out was the exceptional staff, especially the front desk personnel. They were incredibly welcoming and warm, always ready with a gentle smile and a helpful word. My questions were answered quickly and efficiently, and they made me feel so genuinely cared for, as if we were old friends. Their kindness and genuine hospitality truly made this place feel like home. The room was well-equipped with modern amenities. The air conditioning was effective and easy to use, and there were plenty of TV channels to choose from. I appreciated the pleasant wall art and the convenient bedside lamp. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, allowing me to browse the web effortlessly without any lag. But what truly amazed me was the price – this place offers incredible value for money, something truly rare to find in the city. For a similar price, it would be hard to find another place that combines such refinement with peaceful comfort. It’s not flashy, but it’s tastefully done and genuinely peaceful. I honestly wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't experienced it myself; a single night here felt like a dream. I had initially planned only a short stay, but by the time I left, I felt a deep reluctance to depart. Even after I was gone, my thoughts kept returning to this wonderful place, and I found myself dreaming of that comfortable bed. If anyone asks me where this hidden gem is, I'd almost be hesitant to share, lest I disturb its serene magic. Suffice it to say, it felt like a bed among the clouds, offering a night that truly transcended the ordinary. The final photos capture Dalian's 'Venice of the East' (Water City), which is just one example of the beautiful scenery in the area. To sum it all up: beautiful surroundings, pleasant weather, delicious and diverse local cuisine with unique flavors, and truly exceptional service. I'd particularly like to commend 'Xiao Wang' for their outstanding attitude and helpfulness. I've written so much because this place truly deserves all the praise. I highly recommend staying here!"

"High CP hotel, king size bed and a japanese style bidet (this is the highlight for me 555) The property is really convenient (not to mention its near the sea front, just a walking distance), it is just across the road to Exit D of the Gangwan Square subway and that same line goes directly to the airport. The staff is so kind and they made sure I am ok and convenient. They communcate everything through wechat and also catered to my request to change the free breakfast from porridge to soy milk. Their manager is also very nice and communicative. They also gave me tips as well on where to go in Dalian and also give morning updates on the weather Will stay again"
