"The environment here is fantastic. The room was much bigger than I expected, the bedding was clean and odorless, and the A/C cooled down the room really fast. The hot water in the shower was super abundant and the temperature was stable! The front desk lady was incredibly enthusiastic and helped me find some affordable local eats nearby (there's a night market just a 3-minute walk away!). While the facilities aren't luxurious, it has everything you need (fast WiFi, plenty of outlets, a large mirror), perfectly suiting a short stay. It's truly a value-for-money king â students and budget travelers, go for it!"

"Great location, across from Zhongshan square and 15 minutes walk to Russia street. The marina is a short 10-15 mini taxi ride. This hotel is like an old style China hotel, itâs kind of grand and is kept in relatively good condition, but it is dated with dark wood furniture and not in keeping with the high expectation of an InterContinental, especially compared with other cities. Also, there is a weird smell in the room, and the breakfast spread is limited, even in the club lounge. Also, there was no acknowledgment of my milestone birthday, which was disappointing. On the positive, the executive room is a nice size, bathroom is huge, shower is powerful, the condition is ok, bed and pillows are comfortable, no coffee machine, but free access to lounge with afternoon tea on both days and happy hour where food is served. The pool is large and up to 1.8m deep. The price is relatively good, so overall it was enjoyable. Thanks also to Grace who gave me a late check out and a magnet. I hope they refurbish the hotel soon, as it could be better, through it ainât that bad ether."

"This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I originally booked it for the pool, and considering its age, my expectations weren't very high. But to my surprise, from the moment we got out of the car, the concierge staff proactively opened doors and handled our luggage every single time, without fail. In stark contrast, when we later moved to the Four Seasons, we had to carry our own bags inside before anyone offered assistance! While the rooms are a bit dated, it's clear the housekeeping team does a very thorough job. Even my mother, who is a neat freak, found it satisfactory. In contrast, at the Four Seasons, she immediately spotted dust on the glass and high up in the wardrobe! The location is excellent, making it convenient for getting anywhere. The complimentary fish jerky and candies were delicious! There's also a morning market just a hundred meters walk away. We had a minor issue on our second day, but the Guest Services Manager resolved it very professionally. If I have the chance to visit Dalian again, I will definitely choose the New World! Expensive doesn't always mean best, but we all unanimously agreed that the New World offers the best value for money."

"The location is incredibly convenient. It's less than a 3-minute walk from the Exit of Metro Line 2, so even with luggage, it's not a strenuous walk at all. There are many popular spots nearby, all within a 2km radius, including Dalian Shopping Mall, Xianshengsheng Sushi, Aoshen, and more.
The service was exceptional. They offered complimentary fruit upon afternoon check-in. We asked if we could receive it later in the evening since we were going out, and they happily agreed. When we returned to the hotel at night, we found the fruit already placed in our room. It was perfectly timed as we were thirsty â such a thoughtful gesture!

"Went to Dalian with friends and checked out all the five-star hotels there. We finally settled on the Shangri-La and were very satisfied. We had booked two rooms beforehand because we wanted to see them before deciding which one to stay in. Yilia assisted us, explaining the differences between the rooms and showing them to us. We ultimately chose the Deluxe Twin Room, and all our requests were met. The floor was great, and the view was excellent. They even knew it was my birthday and decorated the room for me, sending a cake and red wine. A big thank you to the lovely Yilia!
As for the hotel itself, as a well-established five-star hotel, the Shangri-La truly lives up to its reputation in terms of decor, facilities, location, and service â all five-star quality. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Dalian."

"Staying at the castle for Christmas was like stepping into a fairy tale! The giant Christmas tree in the lobby created an amazing atmosphere, and we even received some complimentary desserts upon check-in, which was a lovely touch. The sea view from our room was absolutely stunning, and there were cute Christmas decorations everywhere throughout the hotel. Even though it was peak season and quite busy, the staff were incredibly patient and attentive. All in all, it was a fantastic experience â definitely the top choice for Christmas accommodation in Dalian!

"I stayed at this hotel for two days and found it quite comfortable. I booked a room with a large TV, which was great for casting movies from my phone. The service was also excellent; they responded promptly on WeChat and helped resolve any issues. On the first night, I felt the room was a bit warm, but after contacting the front desk, they immediately adjusted the air conditioning to cold, making it much less stuffy. They also handled other small requests well, like helping with food delivery. The service truly was good. The hotel has a pleasant environment and good facilities, and it was very clean."

The hotel's location is exceptional, right near the Dalian Municipal Government's Guandong Street. Transportation is very convenient, with easy access to both the subway and bus stops. There are also numerous dining and shopping options nearby, making both dining and shopping very convenient.
I was also very pleased with the hotel's ambiance. The lobby is clean and bright, with a simple yet elegant décor, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The room was even more immaculate, with clean, soft bedding, making it incredibly comfortable and making me feel at home even during my trip. The room was fully equipped with amenities, including the air conditioning, TV, and shower, all of which worked perfectly. The shower's water temperature and pressure were especially perfect, making for a very pleasant shower.
The hotel's service was impeccable. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt the warmth and professionalism of the staff. The front desk staff greeted us with a warm smile, and the check-in process was quick and efficient. They also patiently explained the hotel's facilities and nearby attractions. During our stay, the staff responded promptly and helped us with any needs we had. For example, we needed a disposable razor, and someone quickly delivered it to our room, which made us feel very cared for.

LLiangguniangOur first stop in Dalian was Jinshitan. The hotel's back entrance directly faces Gate 4 of the scenic area, leading right to a pebble beach. It's also very close to rocky areas perfect for tide-pooling. Our little one had a blast, catching crabs and hermit crabs. The room's facilities and amenities were quite satisfactory, and the service was excellent. Since our child has a habit of napping, the front desk was very accommodating and arranged a late check-out for us. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely visit again.

GGuest UserHuazhu Clubâs first choice is Ibis! I haven't stayed in many express hotels nearby, but the environment and service are better than those nearby! Especially the staff at the front desk are very patient and enthusiastic. When I was using the computer downstairs at night, I found that some drunk guests were very rude. The young staff member Xiaogui Ning was very patient in explaining and guiding me! This is not easy! If you live near here, I highly recommend it! The TV can also project the screen, and I watched the S14 finals here!

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located about a 3-minute walk from Exit D of è„żćźè·Ż(Xianlu) Station, and it takes less than 30 minutes to get to the airport.
Right in front of the hotel, thereâs a nightclub and a street lined with food stalls mainly frequented by locals. It gets lively at night. I stayed in a room facing the street, but since it was on the 6th floor, the noise from outside wasnât too bothersome.
However, the soundproofing between rooms isnât great. I could hear sounds from neighboring rooms.
The shower and toilet facilities are basic. Note that in some rooms, the bathroom isnât fully separated from the rest of the space.
Two 500ml bottles of water were provided and replenished daily. Towels were replaced during daily cleaning, but it seemed like the sheets werenât changed though that might be different for longer stays.
Thereâs no fridge in the room, but you can ask the front desk to store things in their staff refrigerator if needed.
Foreigners can stay here without any issues. During my 3-night stay, there was a different staff member at the front desk each day, but everyone was friendly and helpful. They actively assisted me when I had any issues, and Iâm really grateful for that.
Even if you donât speak Chinese, using a translation app works fine. For basic things like check-in and check-out, you wonât need Chinese at all.

A big thank you to the front desk staff at China Southern Airlines Pearl Hotel Dalian â Xiao Gu, Xiao Yang, and Xiao Gu â as well as all the shuttle drivers. The restaurant service was also fantastic; they even delivered food to my room, and the meals were delicious. A special shout-out to Ms. Jiang from housekeeping for her assistance late at night, which I truly appreciated.

Firstly, as someone who worked in chain hotels for six years, I'm very particular about cleanliness. This trip, traveling with my child, I opted against a chain hotel (which I usually choose), fearing poor hygiene. But this place was surprisingly good! The views are fantastic, and my child was very comfortable. All the towels are disposable, and the quality is excellent, so there's no need to bring your own. Parking is also super convenient, and getting around with Didi (ride-sharing) was a breeze. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Dalian. I forgot to take photos though, so I can only use screenshots from a video.

1109362****I really like Kempinski. While we were still in Harbin, they called to ask about our needs and proactively offered us a complimentary upgrade to a VIP twin room. The room was huge, the bathroom was large (about 10 square meters, bright and airy with a window), and the wardrobe was spacious enough to fit large suitcases. The tea area was a separate space, offering privacy and comfort. There were plenty of surfaces to neatly organize various items, which was fantastic (a large bay window ledge, a shelf above the headboard, and various shelves around the TV). Additionally, they noticed we drink a lot of water and provided us with many bottles daily.
All their services are excellent, the hotel environment is great, and the location is convenient for getting around. Our stay there was a very good experience. For dining and local specialties, Dalian Mall is just a 5-6 minute walk away. The first floor sells various snacks, freshly prepared cooked food, and local products. Before heading back to Shanghai, we went there to buy all sorts of local foods.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel accepts foreigners. Great location, a walking distance from Dalian Station, essentially on Zhongshan Square. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was good, there's even a washing machine (didn't use it though). The staff was kind and helpful. Perhaps the only problem was that the room card didn't work, so I had to get a password, which also expired daily at midnight, and I had to contact the reception to get a new one. But that's not how it's supposed to be, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Overall, a great option.
