Great
WWubbaWubbaWubbaBeautiful and large comfortable rooms with a view, Shower pressure was great. Drinking water dispenser at lift landing provides instant hot and cold water. Rooftop dining and kitchen area was adequate and clean. Gym was sufficient for a casual workout on your travels. Nearby Robinsons mall is huge and provides for your dining and grocery needs.
Now the location… unfortunately Malate smells like piss. It’s just how the area is. All breatheable air has moved to BGC and Makati. My first day I walked along Taft Ave, the main thoroughfare where the LRT tracks run along, it was unbearable. I suggest if you’re walking to Intramuros or the National museums, turn left coming out of the building and walk down Adriatico or Roxas. It’s less putrid near the bay. Avoid Taft at all cost.
The entire team at Lyf I’d encountered, front desk, concierge housekeeping and dining, were all super helpful and smiling always. Bravo, team!
IitsreallyjaineStaying at City Garden Suites Manila turned out to be a great choice for exploring the historic side of Manila.
The location is very convenient — just a short distance from Rizal Park, Intramuros, and shopping areas like Robinsons Place Manila. It made moving around the city easy without long travel time.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, perfect for resting after a full day of walking around Manila. What stood out the most was the hospitality of the staff — they were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help.
If you’re looking for a hotel that balances comfort, location, and affordability, this is definitely a good option when staying in Manila.

GGuest UserI liked that everything in the room was clean. The hotel staffs were accommodating. The location is accessible to the mall and there were few restaurants just few alleys to walk around. If you want to stay near Manila area, I can recommend this hotel.

@@apieceofmykOverall: 4/5
Location: 4.5/5
Very convenient. I stayed here for a 2-day ISO training held in one of their convention rooms, so it was super practical. It’s also right beside Starbucks, which was my go-to for coffee.
Value: 4/5
Reasonable for a short business stay, but parking has an extra fee.
Room: 3/5
The hotel feels old and nostalgic — classic elevators and hallways. Bathroom was clean, but the room had a slightly musky smell. Walls seem thin since I could hear a neighboring room’s phone and music.
Cleanliness: 5/5
Bathroom was neat and well-maintained.
Service: 5/5
Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Facilities: 5/5
Convention rooms are functional and convenient for seminars and trainings. The packaged food during the training was also good and complete, from breakfast snacks to lunch and merienda.
Final Take:
Good option for business stays and trainings. Not the most modern, but convenient and comfortable enough for short trips.

AAnonymous UserThe location is good, close to Intramuros and the coast. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from the station, but it's a nice walk to see the city. There's a large supermarket nearby and a 7-Eleven, which is very convenient.
Many of the staff were very kind. Thanks to them, I had a pleasant stay, which really made up for any shortcomings of the hotel. The doorman who opened the door for me every day even stopped an Uber taxi for me at the end and opened the door. He was very pleasant, and I left feeling good. Thank you.
Breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but the omelets made fresh every day were delicious, and since it was a buffet, I was able to eat my fill. For this price, there's even a small gym, so I think the cost-performance is good.
From here on, I'll list the downsides, but even with those, I still felt it was good value for money (again, thanks to the kind staff). The hotel is old and dusty. My room had no view from the window. The strange doll on the bedside lamp was a mystery (lol). The room was reasonably spacious, and the air conditioning worked great. However, when you remove the key card, everything turns off, so it gets hot again when you go out. There are no amenities at all, so I recommend bringing your own from home. There's no box of tissues either. There's only one roll of toilet paper, so if you use it as tissue, you'll run out. For towels, there's only a bath towel; no face towel. Maybe you can ask the front desk for a toothbrush? The toilet is the kind where you shouldn't flush paper. Please be careful.

GGuest UserWe had a pleasant stay overall and truly appreciated the warm hospitality of the staff. Everyone was very nice, approachable, and accommodating. The food was good, and the facilities and amenities met our expectations.
There were just a couple of minor concerns. Parking space for guests with cars is limited, and while there are parking options outside the property, these come with additional fees. We also experienced a small issue with the air conditioner one night, it was set to “cool” mode but felt like it was only blowing air, so we had to turn it off and on again to get it working properly.
These were manageable concerns and did not significantly affect our experience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, would recommend the place, and would gladly visit again.

AAnonymous UserGreat location in front of Robinsons Manila. Gets noisy at late nights especially Friday n Saturday bcs its a red light district after all. So difficult to sleep until everything stops around 3am.
This is one of 3 hotels within Birch Towe. There's a resto with limited dishes offered downstairs.
Rates are usually very reasonable for Pacific Bay compared to JMM and Regency Grand.
GGuest UserThis reception was comfortable and we felt well received. Emails and check-in instructions were clear. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. We will definitely stay there again in the future. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
ТТатьяна ИевлеваConveniently located near Intramuros. However, be aware that there are some dodgy characters on the streets nearby, which can make walking around a bit unsettling.
We booked for one night. The simplest room, without a window, suited us fine. The room had everything necessary, including a kettle, and it was clean. The bed was comfortable.
BUT, there were cockroaches in the room. We killed about 4-5 when we checked in, and then found another one in the bed. Gross!
