Great
RRed VillaruelWe stayed at The Manila Hotel as a couple with one infant and had a very positive experience. The staff were extremely accommodating and attentive, the facilities felt grand and culturally rich rather than modern, and the location is central, great for nearby parks but challenging due to Manila traffic. The highlight was the breakfast, which was outstanding and easily the best complimentary hotel breakfast I’ve had.
GGuest UserExcellent service! Great environment! And for someone like me who doesn't speak English, the presence of a handsome young man speaking Chinese at the front desk made for a fantastic stay.
GGuest UserOverall cleanliness was good, but some details weren't cleaned thoroughly enough.
1) Hair in the room 2) Floating debris in the kettle 3)
Btw, All the staff were very patient, and the food was quite good.
I'll come again next time, I really like it here.
AAnonymous UserFacilities: The hotel facilities are old, the room type is small, the bed is small, and the mattress is soft. It's suitable for travelers who aren't particular.
Cleanliness: The hygiene conditions are acceptable, with no noticeable discomfort. Overall, it's livable, though there's a slight odor.
Environment: The environment is mediocre. The surrounding streets are dirty and messy, and the roads are uneven. However, the hotel's location is good, making it suitable for sightseeing tourists.
Service: The service is average, just standard service. Both check-in and check-out times are quite long.
IitsreallyjaineStaying at City Garden Suites Manila turned out to be a great choice for exploring the historic side of Manila.
The location is very convenient — just a short distance from Rizal Park, Intramuros, and shopping areas like Robinsons Place Manila. It made moving around the city easy without long travel time.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, perfect for resting after a full day of walking around Manila. What stood out the most was the hospitality of the staff — they were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help.
If you’re looking for a hotel that balances comfort, location, and affordability, this is definitely a good option when staying in Manila.
GGuest UserStayed at Rizal Park Hotel and it honestly felt like stepping into another era—very Somewhere in Time kind of vibe. The building itself has a lot of character, which makes sense since it used to be the old Army Navy Club (built in 1911), and you can feel that old-world charm throughout the property.
Location is a major advantage—right beside Rizal Park, near the US Embassy, and overlooking Manila Bay. Great for staycations, especially if you want that sunset view. Convenience stores are about a 5-minute walk away, and food delivery is easily accessible.
We booked a junior suite and it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was notably fresh-smelling, which stood out. Bed was comfortable, aircon was cold, and Wi-Fi was fast. The pool area was a highlight—relaxing with a great view of the bay, especially at sunset. The hotel also has a gym and sauna; we were able to use the sauna, which was a nice addition to the overall experience.
Most of the staff were friendly, often greeting us with smiles and good mornings/evenings, which made the stay more pleasant. Special mention to Ma'am Jenna from the amenities building—very friendly and accommodating. There were a few instances where some staff didn't greet, but overall service was still warm and welcoming.
That said, the building does show its age in some areas. There were occasional noises at night (likely ongoing maintenance or renovations), and some facilities feel dated—TV could definitely be upgraded to a smart TV. We also noticed some ceilings and walls with visible cracks and signs of mold, which could use better upkeep. Breakfast buffet was okay—decent, but not a standout.
Overall, still good bang for buck. Best suited for staycations or travelers who appreciate historic hotels with character rather than modern luxury. Would definitely come back.
GGuest UserI rarely write reviews, but my parents were so impressed with their stay here at New Coast Hotel Manila. I booked my parents to stay at the hotel because they enjoy spending time at Robinson’s Shopping Mall every time they fly to the Philippines for a holiday. My parents were impressed with the location, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. They were very impressed that the linens and towels were replaced every day, and the complimentary drinks and water were stocked up also every day; making sure everything is fresh, clean and that they are comfortable. I have shared this hotel with my other family members and, they too, have stayed here. Thank you for welcoming my family and ensuring they had a good and comfortable time. We will surely be checking again here soon.
GGuest UserGreat experience and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and it was fun to see the fish in the aquarium during the day. The water park and biodome were highlights for us.

RrockunrollerNice hotel large rooms and confortable bed.
Friendly and helpful staff. Rooftop pool was nice but outdoor lights didn't seem to be working. Wifi was hit and miss and did drop out quite a bit which wasnt ideal for booking on flights etc. But the hotel itself was nice and close to shops and the bay.
