The Dorje Tsang Hotel is named after the founder's maternal clan. The Dorje Tsang family is a prominent local family in Chaya County, Chamdo City, similar to the Bangda Tsang family in Markam County. "Dorje" in Tibetan means "a thousand sheep", symbolizing a bountiful harvest and prosperous livestock; "Tsang" means "family". Therefore, "Dorje Tsang" represents a wealthy, harmonious and thriving family or place. This indicates that the Dorje Tsang Hotel is a place where fortune, happiness and good luck converge. There are three reasons why the Dorje Tsang Hotel is said to be a place where these three energies converge. From the perspective of feng shui, the hotel is backed by the Potala Palace, adjacent to the Lhalu Wetland, the Lhasa River and the Middle Canal, and is located at the intersection of the busy Deji North Road and the Second Ring Road. This creates an interaction of energy among heaven, earth and people, as well as a harmonious coexistence of nature and human beings, making it a place where guests feel at home, pursue noble dreams and accumulate wealth. From a historical perspective, the hotel's location was once the residence of the Lhalu family, a high-ranking official of the former local government of Tibet. To ensure the family's long-term prosperity, they chose this feng shui location close to the Lhalu Wetland as their residence. Today, the area enjoys a superior geographical location, convenient transportation, a thriving business environment and a steady stream of tourists. The hotel's presence here will provide important services and guarantees for guests from all over the world to stay and rest. In terms of the living environment, the hotel is constantly nourished by the moisture from the "Lung of Lhasa" - the Lhalu Wetland, resulting in a significantly increased oxygen content and a distinct regional microclimate advantage. It also benefits from the protection of the Potala Palace and the Jokhang Temple. From the top floor of the hotel, one can overlook the entire panorama of Lhasa, offering a breathtaking view. The hotel is luxuriously decorated yet offers affordable prices, and is sure to become a popular destination for domestic and international tourists. Leave the hustle and bustle of the city but remain within it, observe history in an instant and create a bright future - all at the Dorje Tsang Hotel!
"The hotel exceeded expectations. Although the road at the entrance is a bit narrow and a bit messy due to road construction, the hotel (especially the room) exceeded expectations. As soon as we arrived at the garage, someone came out to greet us and help us park and take our luggage. There was snow chrysanthemum tea (I think, anyway it was chrysanthemum) at the front desk, and a young lady presented you with a Hada.
The room is clean, the facilities are complete, the bedding is comfortable, and the bath water is hot. There is a pharmacy opposite the hotel. If your same-sex friends have severe altitude sickness, you can rent oxygen cylinders and have them delivered to the hotel, which is very convenient.
The hotel view is also very good. You can see the Potala Palace from the bed, although it is from the back. There is also a super large platform, which should be great for eating and drinking in the summer. There are several small glass rooms on the platform, like a mahjong room."
