"The first hotel I stayed in Lhasa after entering Tibet. I had booked and changed the booking before, and finally chose this one. As soon as I arrived at the hotel entrance, the security guard quickly came to take my luggage. Because I had severe altitude sickness when I arrived in Lhasa by train that afternoon, I went to the hospital for oxygen before going to the hotel, so someone helped me with my luggage. I am very grateful. The hotel’s housekeeper Xiao Pu also helped me with my luggage and delivered it to the room. He was very patient and detailed about the hotel’s free laundry service, oxygen supply, etc. The hotel is very clean and provides disposable bath towels, disposable towels, toilet covers, etc. every day. "This is by a long way the best hotel I have stayed in , in Tibet. Love the ”Manor” feel, at the same time homely.
The rose garden which decorates Lakari cafe ia a lovely place to eat, relax, wind down. Food & service excellent. There are in addition two other restaurant on site, serving authentic Chinese & Tibetian food, yum. DURING a qord in the garden, I notice birds churping and hunting worms on the lawn !
Rooms takes on a modern Tibetian style, everything works & impeccably clean.
Staff are v warm, helpful, even helped w my washing, offered to show me around on her day off.

"I rarely write reviews, but I feel I must write one this time. Gesanghua Hotel has a beautiful and kind proprietress. She is quite young, thoughtful, warm and patient. We just arrived in Lhasa and were not very familiar with the itinerary. Later, we consulted the proprietress to avoid falling into the trap. You can also ask the proprietress to help buy performance tickets and travel packages. There are many discounts after comparison. I am also very satisfied with the arranged room. It is square, clean, with a humidifier, oxygen concentrator, and air conditioner. Every morning, the bright sunshine will shine into the room, making the cool morning warm all of a sudden. Living in a sunny room makes my altitude sickness much better.
The location of the hotel is also very good👍 It is convenient to go out for transportation. It takes a few minutes to walk to Jokhang City, Barkhor Street, and Jokhang Temple. It only takes 10 yuan to take Didi to the Potala Palace.

"We stayed at the Shangri-la after a week of being in Tibet. It was a nice change from the more Chinese style hotels we had stayed in and was ideal for the night before our flight out. The rooms are great and we booked one with a bath. The shower was very powerful and hot. The breakfast buffet was, by Chinese standards, decent for western options and the evening buffer was good for approx 200rmb/person if you're in need of more western options.
The big plus for me was the gym. Decent by most hotel standards and had a good mix of resistance machines, cardio and free weights (mainly dumbbells of up to 20kg plus a pair of 27.5kg). The only thing missing from the gym really is a squat rack but otherwise very good. Would stay again."

"It is located between Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace. There is a snack street downstairs with decent prices. I didn't go for the photo shoot in ethnic costumes that the hotel offered me. Firstly, I was too busy to go, and secondly, I should have gone for the photo shoot because I had other things to spend money on. So after discussing with my friends, I gave up. On the last night, I asked the front desk for Rhodiola rosea tea, but it was not delivered. I feel that this 4-star hotel is just so-so. I upgraded the room, but when I opened the window, there was just a wall 😅 Forget it!"

GGuest UserThis time we booked a room with a view. It was already night when we arrived at the inn. We could enjoy the night view of the Potala Palace by turning off the lights. We could also see the Potala Palace and the panoramic view of the surrounding area during the day. You can also take photos of the Sky Mirror on the rooftop (ignore the people and just look at the scenery). The handsome boss gave me delicious tea, and the fairy boss also gave me ******* incense. After watching the night view, I lit a ******* incense in the room. The faint fragrance is very suitable for use before going to bed. Come and stay! Definitely don't step into the trap 😄

There are many places to eat around. You can also go out for a walk in the evening to see the Lhasa River view and Nanshan Park. It is also very close to the Potala Palace.
