His every initiative, every “Okay, I’ll arrange it for you right away,” conveyed the same message: Here, you don't have to be a “guest,” just be “yourself.” The Shangri-La Hotel shines because of employees like him, and the industry is warmed by professionals like him. "Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at The St. Regis Lhasa Resort. A special thanks to front desk staff member Riri for doing her best to coordinate a suitable room according to my request. Also, the butler and maintenance technician resolved an air conditioning issue in the middle of the night. The professionalism, dedication, and enthusiasm of all the staff at The St. Regis Lhasa Resort, from top to bottom, brought warmth and moved us during our time in Lhasa. There's no distinction of 'high or low' among people; hotel guests and staff simply have different roles and responsibilities. The key lies in how guests' concerns are addressed and the attitude and problem-solving approach of the staff when issues arise. We had booked a basic room, but because I'm sensitive to noise, Riri helped us upgrade to a quieter room. The air conditioning in our room would turn on automatically after being turned off. Around 1 AM, the maintenance technician came back and forth three times. Eventually, they decided to turn off the AC's circuit breaker and fix it the next day (which they did). Before we left, they even sent a small gift as an apology. Breakfast was decent, but I'd describe it as exquisite in presentation, bland in taste, and lacking variety. However, I've also tried meals at the Shangri-La Lhasa, the Crowne Plaza Linzhi, and the Songtsam Bason Co Linka, where some ingredients are even transported from Sichuan in advance due to special circumstances. The taste is generally similar across the board. Given the challenging environment, I believe they've done their best to achieve this level. Regarding some of the room's hardware, there's definitely room for improvement, and the hotel itself is aware of this. I hope to see improvements in the future. "I absolutely love Farly Hotel. The staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, are incredibly kind and welcoming. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, like spinning prayer wheels and performing sang offerings. I particularly recommend the evening sound bath experience and the morning Pilates. The instructor's stretching exercises really helped improve my posture. I also woke up early to watch the sunrise, but there's a mountain to the east of Farly, so the sun actually appears about 45 minutes after the official sunrise time. Still, it was a beautiful sight."

She even adjusted our room's equipment and prepared oxygen facilities in advance, tailored to our situation, to help prevent altitude sickness. By pre-arranging every check-in detail, she ensured we felt completely reassured and cared for even before we arrived. Upon arrival and during our stay, Dekyi's service continued to be meticulous and attentive in every detail. She was gentle and sincere in her demeanor, yet efficient and reliable in her actions, patiently following up on our experience throughout. She regularly checked on our well-being and meticulously answered all our questions about sightseeing and dining. Whenever we had a request, she was always there to respond immediately and resolve it efficiently and properly. Her service was just right—never intrusive, yet always comprehensive, balancing professionalism with warmth. In the unfamiliar high-altitude environment, Dekyi, with her twelve years of dedication and passion, provided care that felt like family. There was no perfunctory, by-the-book service, only genuine effort. Every single detail showcased the professional caliber of a high-end butler. I truly commend Dekyi (Nancy) for her outstanding service! It's because of dedicated, responsible, and warmly enthusiastic staff like her that our stay on the ******* Plateau was so exceptionally fulfilling and heartwarming. The next time I come to Lhasa, the InterContinental Lhasa Paradise will still be my first choice, and I will definitely be looking for Butler Dekyi again!"

"Facilities: The room is a medium size, not very big, but the balcony is quite spacious. On the first day, I experienced some altitude sickness and lacked oxygen. The diffused oxygen supply wasn't quite enough, so I had to sit next to an oxygen tank. Cleanliness: OK Environment: Very good, with an old town style. The atmosphere is a bit dark and mysterious, and the room itself is also quite dim. Service: There's a butler service, and the milk tea in the lobby is delicious. Breakfast: Quite average, not many varieties. The rice noodles they cooked were also just so-so. Evening drink: It was a tremella soup."

Immediately, someone brought me a bowl of hot herbal tea and a blanket, saying, 'Don't catch a cold, getting sick at high altitude is a hassle.' This kind of genuine care is something you might not even find in a five-star hotel. The value for money was surprisingly good. Honestly, I expected a Hilton to cost at least several hundred, but the price I booked was much lower than I anticipated, even more cost-effective than some private rooms in hostels. The room was clean and spacious, with oxygen supply and a humidifier, ensuring a really sound sleep at night. While breakfast wasn't a lavish buffet, it offered plenty of tsampa, butter tea, and boiled eggs, enough to keep me full until the afternoon, saving me lunch money. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, and getting to the Potala Palace or Jokhang Temple costs just one yuan, making transportation costs almost negligible. After this stay, I feel like I hit the jackpot. Not just because it was affordable, but because of the unreserved kindness from the ******* people. Next time I visit Tibet, I won't hesitate – I'm definitely staying here again! 🙏🎒"
