The St. Regis Lhasa Resort is located on Jiangsu Road, the main artery of Lhasa. A 15-minute walk takes you to the Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street area, where you can experience the traditional features and lifestyle of the ancient city. It is approximately 3 kilometers away from the Potala Palace, with a cluster of gourmet restaurants in the surrounding vicinity. A 15-minute taxi ride will lead you to Norbulingka, a typical Xizang-style garden renowned for its unique charm on the snow-covered plateau. Additionally, a 20–30 minute drive from the hotel will take you to Sera Monastery or Drepung Monastery, commonly known as the "Three Great Monasteries of Lhasa", allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the solemnity and grandeur of Xizang Buddhist temples. The hotel boasts over 100 guest rooms, ranging from 61 to 178 square meters in size. Every room offers guests panoramic views of the undulating Xizang mountains, along with spacious living spaces, custom-made furniture, and elegant interiors in all guest rooms and suites. The iconic St. Regis Butler Service is specially designed to provide tailored accommodation experiences catering to the needs of global travelers. Home to Social All-Day Dining Restaurant, Yan Ting Chinese Restaurant and Tubo Bar, the hotel is committed to satisfying the discerning palates of culinary connoisseurs.

"The St. Regis Lhasa is undoubtedly the top choice for accommodation in Lhasa. Its ******* luxury decor creates a fantastic ambiance, and the rooms are perfectly equipped with diffuse oxygen systems, which greatly alleviate any discomfort from the high altitude. You can even enjoy stunning views of the Potala Palace right from your window – truly breathtaking. I must give a special shout-out to my exclusive butler, Sangbu, whose service was both professional and incredibly warm. He was attentive and thoughtful throughout my entire stay, providing high-altitude travel tips in advance and greeting me with a comforting hot black tea upon arrival to soothe my body and mind. He was super responsive to all my requests, whether for itinerary advice or item delivery. He paid close attention to my physical well-being and was genuinely humble and kind. The service from this local ******* butler added an extra touch of warmth to my experience. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, with a great pool, spa, and restaurants that maintain high quality. Breakfast offers a rich variety of choices, and the location is excellent, making it very convenient to visit Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple. Overall, my stay far exceeded expectations. I'm incredibly grateful for Butler Sangbu's meticulous care, which added so many wonderful memories to my Lhasa trip. I will definitely choose the St. Regis Lhasa again on my next visit and highly recommend everyone to ask for Butler Sangbu!"

Hotel near Lobrinka,Lhasa
Lhasa Shangri-La seems to be endowed with a magical perspective that allows you to take in the majesty of the Potala Palace through the window pane without leaving your home. At a straight line distance of only 1.4 kilometers, this close proximity makes every brick, every tile, every ray of morning light and sunset of the Potala Palace a unique landscape painting during your stay. Just a short five-minute walk from the hotel, you can reach Lopblingka, the former summer residence, the perfect place to explore the beauty of art and nature.

"Many people, myself included, often debate between the St. Regis and the Shangri-La, as both hotels in Beijing are quite unremarkable. Ultimately, I chose the Shangri-La for its value for money. I had considered Songtsam too, but common sense told me to be a smart spender. Although the hotel shows its age, its architectural style is grand and refined, revealing luxurious material choices. Time has inevitably left its mark, but a classic car, even when old, is still a classic car. Moreover, service and quality require time to accumulate and withstand market scrutiny. While the Shangri-La may not have many existing locations, it still holds a strong market advantage, and it takes an discerning eye to appreciate it. My butler, Bowen, arranged my room before I even arrived. Looking out the window at the Potala Palace's silhouette in the distance immediately set the mood. He then meticulously delivered on all aspects of my package. I found Bowen to be a man of few words but very steady, highly responsive, and an exceptionally smooth driver. He never asked inappropriate or subjective questions, which I truly appreciated. Over three days, Bowen's accompaniment added a unique dimension to my Lhasa itinerary. Among the few Tibetans I've encountered, he was a definite plus. I sincerely wish him all the best in his work! The Shangri-La in Lhasa lives up to its brand's standards and enhances the reputation of its sister properties. I'm so glad I made the right choice; this will be a memorable and wonderful travel experience."

"The hotel environment is excellent, and it's very clean and comfortable. I'd definitely have stayed a few more days if I hadn't already booked my flight. The hotel activities are also great. However, I was quite disappointed with the front desk service. We had two rooms in our party, and one of them was upgraded, but we weren't informed. When I called the front desk, the first time they said they were busy with check-ins. The second time I called, they told me the room card was incorrect. A little later, they said it was an upgrade. I'm not sure how credible the front desk's statements are. Then, the next day, when I inquired about the deposit refund, they initially told me the deposit for room 501 had been returned. I told them I paid 1000 for both rooms together, and then they said room 507 hadn't been inspected yet. I'm not sure if the hotel front desk has proper systematic training. I booked for one night, and both explanations from the front desk felt deceptive. I hope the hotel can provide more training for their front desk staff. Although the front desk's actions made me uncomfortable, I'm very satisfied with how the hotel manager handled the situation. He went back and forth several times to resolve it for me and kept apologizing. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I visit Lhasa next time, but I sincerely hope they can thoroughly and systematically train their front desk staff. After all, it's a high-end hotel, but the front desk's communication style doesn't seem to match that standard."

"Lhasa, known as the 'City of Sunshine,' left an incredibly beautiful memory for my family and me during our stay at the InterContinental Lhasa Paradise. The hotel's exterior is grand and aesthetically pleasing, with an overall stylish ambiance. The bedding in the rooms was soft and comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep every night. What we loved most was the glass design in the lobby; sitting there, you can gaze up at Lhasa's pristine blue skies and white clouds. As the sunlight streams in, it truly broadens your mind. Before our trip, we were torn between The St. Regis Lhasa Resort and Shangri-La. We even visited both properties to compare their services. After careful consideration, we ultimately chose the InterContinental Lhasa Paradise, and looking back, it was absolutely the right decision. My family and I have stayed at many high-end hotels both domestically and internationally, but the service here, in particular, genuinely impressed us. Throughout our stay, the person I want to commend most sincerely is our butler, Dekyi Nancy. She went above and beyond for us, handling numerous tasks, many of which were outside her regular duties. We felt a little bad for bothering her so frequently, but she was always gracious, handling everything big and small with meticulous care and no complaints. Dekyi Nancy not only has outstanding professional abilities but also treats guests with warmth and sincerity, offering professional and detailed service, and handling matters reliably and steadily. Knowing that altitude sickness can be an issue upon arrival, she constantly kept our family's health in mind. She would proactively check in on us daily, offering thoughtful reminders about high-altitude travel, rest, and dietary precautions. No matter what problems we encountered or what needs we had, she responded immediately, patiently helped coordinate solutions, and provided attentive companionship throughout our stay. Compared to other high-end hotels we've experienced, Dekyi Nancy's enthusiasm, patience, and professionalism truly stood out. Her service wasn't just a rigid, procedural interaction; it was genuine care and concern from the heart, making us, as visitors in a foreign land, feel a profound sense of warmth. With excellent facilities, breathtaking views, and such warm and thoughtful service, our entire stay was impeccable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to friends visiting Lhasa and feel fortunate to have met such an exceptional butler as Dekyi Nancy during our trip. Her meticulous care made our high-altitude journey comfortable and unforgettable."

"I came to Lhasa backpacking alone, initially planning to rough it in a hostel for a few nights. But then a friend practically forced me to try this Hilton, saying 'you'll know once you stay here.' And okay, I admit, I'm completely hooked! The service was incredibly good. They proactively said, 'Let me arrange a comfortable yet affordable room for you,' and even hand-wrote a 'Lhasa guide' – telling me where to find the cheapest sweet tea, which monasteries have free entry, and which bus routes offer the best scenic views. The most touching moment was when I came back drenched from the rain one day. Immediately, someone brought me a bowl of hot herbal tea and a blanket, saying, 'Don't catch a cold, getting sick at high altitude is a hassle.' This kind of genuine care is something you might not even find in a five-star hotel. The value for money was surprisingly good. Honestly, I expected a Hilton to cost at least several hundred, but the price I booked was much lower than I anticipated, even more cost-effective than some private rooms in hostels. The room was clean and spacious, with oxygen supply and a humidifier, ensuring a really sound sleep at night. While breakfast wasn't a lavish buffet, it offered plenty of tsampa, butter tea, and boiled eggs, enough to keep me full until the afternoon, saving me lunch money. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, and getting to the Potala Palace or Jokhang Temple costs just one yuan, making transportation costs almost negligible. After this stay, I feel like I hit the jackpot. Not just because it was affordable, but because of the unreserved kindness from the ******* people. Next time I visit Tibet, I won't hesitate – I'm definitely staying here again! 🙏🎒"

Arro Khampa embraces reverence for nature, respect for ancestors, and gratitude for freedom as its core values. With a vision centered on pristine nature, local character, and creative living, it shapes a comfortable, multi-dimensional space for modern travelers. “Arro Khampa” means “Come, friend” in the local language—a warm greeting once exchanged among caravan travelers and traders along the ancient Tea-Horse Road. In the welcoming inns along the route, weary horsemen would unpack their heavy loads, gather around the hearth after greetings, and share stories and drinks. This simple yet heartfelt salutation reflected their deep camaraderie and tradition of mutual support. It was this spirit of unity and cooperation that helped them overcome the perils of one of the world’s most treacherous trade routes, sustaining and thriving along the way. Lhasa, a key hub on the Tea-Horse Road, holds special significance for Arro Khampa. It was both a resting point for caravans and a starting point for journeys into farther lands. Nestled along the Lhasa River in a developing creative district next to the old town, the lodge offers an urban retreat that balances community and privacy. Rooted in the contemporary expression of local culture, it believes in the spirit of adventurers and dreamers, and welcomes every guest with genuine, heartfelt hospitality.

"The hotel was absolutely amazing. I arrived around 8 PM, and they immediately offered me sweet tea and asked me to sit down and rest. The hotel staff had already checked me in. The air conditioning and oxygen generator were already on in the room, and the white fungus porridge on the table was at the perfect temperature. The overall facilities were excellent, the shower gel smelled wonderful, and the room was very clean. The kettle boiled water quickly, and the service was great. The only downside was the TV; it could be upgraded. The breakfast was delicious, especially the rice noodles—I ate two bowls! The chicken sausage was also excellent; many dishes featured beef and chicken, which are suitable for ethnic minorities, which was a big plus. The stir-fried ******* noodles were delicious, and the yogurt was also very good. However, the toppings were just average, and the honey was a little too sweet. But overall, it was fantastic. They first poured me a cup of tea, then I asked for hot milk, and they even prepared hot coffee for me – very thoughtful. The next morning, I had to catch a flight at 7 am, so I asked the hotel if they could prepare breakfast, and they thoughtfully provided bread, water, and milk. The hotel offered a choice between afternoon tea and evening drinks; I chose the drinks because I was busy in the afternoon and didn't go for the afternoon tea, but the drinks were truly amazing and delicious. Just look at the pictures! They gave me a gin and tonic, the orange one was Blood and Sand, the one with cucumber was Moscow Mule, and the red wine was Sangria. That was my order. The Blood and Sand and Sangria were very good (I recommend drinking the Sangria last). I also left an unused oxygen cylinder for you."

According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is a popular accommodation for groups of friends traveling together.

"The hotel offers both diffuse oxygen supply and nasal cannula oxygen in the rooms. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. On the first night, the room temperature wouldn't go down, but after discussing it with the front desk the next day, they promptly moved us to a different room. The butler was also very enthusiastic, showing us to the new room and explaining all the features and how to use them. They were also very responsive whenever we had questions. The hotel is conveniently located, not far from Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple; a 20-minute walk is quite manageable. However, the hotel itself is located down an alley, which made it a bit difficult to find and a tiring walk. Also, the breakfast was just average."

The room layout was spacious, more like a one-bedroom apartment. The toiletries were their own brand, but the toiletries could be upgraded to a more comfortable brand. "The environment is very good and the service is great. I will choose it again next time I go. Before arriving, I will call in advance to inquire about the check-in time, turn on the humidifier and offerings in advance, and ask about my physical condition when I arrive at the hotel. There is a tea garden in the sun room. The food in the teahouse and restaurant is also good. I like the stone pot chicken very much. It tastes authentic and delicious."
