The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the room was quiet, ensuring a good quality rest. The front desk staff were friendly and attentive, and the check-in and check-out processes were quick. Excellent, excellent, excellent! The front desk staff were also wonderful with superb service. The room was incredibly comfortable, clean, and hygienic. The breakfast was delicious too, especially the Guizhou specialty, Cuisao! Waking up to such a great experience really puts you in a good mood.

First: this place is not a Carlton Hotel chain hotel. It is a rip off name.
Secondly: it is located on the 8th floor of a commercial tower.
As a 3 star rated hotel in china, it's on the high end of the scale inside.
as a solo traveller, i am mainly looking at convenience and hygiene. I booked this place for it's proximity to the train station for my early morning flight.
Arriving at the station, it took me 40 minutes to find my way to walk over to the hotel, and would have appreciated more information.
How to get there: Exit the station at the west plaza, on your right somewhere, you will find a path which leads to an underpass to cross the highway. Walk straight into the basement of the commercial building, turn left and then go up the escalators. Then the hotel's lifts are on the left as you enter the building. The current state of the elevator lobby and the lift is dire. See photos. Cigarette butts, and renovation mess.
In the reception, there was a lady in front of me that was haggling the prices of her room. Just so that you get an idea of the place.
Once I got into the room, it was fine. Quite a nice area. But there was no Aircon control, it was all centralised, but at least it was cool in Guiyang that night.
There was a wet mark on the sofa, see photo. I inspected the room for hygiene, and it was ok, clean towels, clean toilet, clean sheets, pillows didn't smell. The toilet flushes well, and shower room was clean. In fact, apart from the sofa mark and the rug condition, everything was good. I marked down the hygiene mainly from a suspicious wet mark and the state of the lobby/lift.
I used the self checkout in the morning to catch my train, since the reception was sleeping under the counter. It takes 10-15 min today walk to the station with luggage, with no rain shelter. Be aware. It is probably better to just book a hotel in a slightly better area and take a cab.

Guest UserAbsolutely thrilled with my stay! The hotel's environment was clean and elegant, and my room was spacious, tidy, and wonderfully quiet – truly a fantastic ambiance. Breakfast offered a great variety, with plenty of fresh fruits and drinks, and everything tasted delicious. The staff were all warm and polite; check-in was super efficient, and they were quick to respond to any requests. Excellent value for money, this will definitely be my top choice for accommodation when I travel again. I'll be back!

ZhuiliebaodetangjiangSeriously, I hit the jackpot on this Guiyang trip! I stayed at the YUNSHUO High-Altitude Private Hot Spring Hotel, and after just one visit, I'm hooked 🔒 and definitely coming back!
The location is incredibly convenient. The hotel entrance is right outside Songhua Road subway station, so I could just roll my suitcase straight in – no hassle at all 🚇.
Stepping into the hotel, I was immediately wowed. The 42nd-floor high-altitude view is breathtaking, and the lighting is so cozy. Best of all, there's a private hot spring tub ♨️! Soaking in the bath and looking out the window was pure bliss – I didn't want to say a word.
The room also features a 100-inch giant projector screen. Lounging on the sofa watching movies, I had no desire to go out at all.
As a detail-oriented person, I was thoroughly impressed: The Simmons mattress ensured a perfect night's sleep, and amenities like the Laifen hairdryer and smart toilet were spot on.
Honestly, the best money I spent on this Guiyang trip was on this hotel stay. It was so comfortable, I almost didn't want to check out! Next time I'm here, I'm staying in this room again, and no one can stop me 🙌.

Luigi CoStayed for 5 nights here. The hotel lobby is nice and the attendants were friendly. However, there is a bit of cigarette smell inside the lobby as some guests are smoking.
Location is good, its around 10minute walk to the nearest metro. There are bus stops within 10 minute walk too. There is a food hall just beside the hotel which is very convenient, and affordable too. The hotel is in a quiet area, and often not much road traffic.
We also had hotel breakfast here. They had lots of choices, mostly home cooked style food.. fried rice, eggs, vegetables, coffee machine, soy milk, noodles etc. They change some of their menu everyday. The lady making the noodles was also very nice and friendly.
For the room, we liked it. Clean and spacious. Bed was cozy. However the airconditioner was not that cold, seems it only reached around 24c.. which was just ok. Good thing is that the weather became colder on our 3rd night, so we just opened our windows. Shower pressure is also good. They provided us free water everyday, and tea..but no coffee.
Service was excellent and quick! It was also good that we can contact the service crew via wechat. Sevice crew were very friendly.
Overall good value for money and would recommend!

The receptionist staff are helpful, and the room is quite clean, with an automatic mahjong table (though I don’t know how to play mahjong). There were renovations on the small pedestrian street in front of the hotel, and they put in a temporary cement slope thing, which can be very slippery during rain and difficult for elderly people or anyone with heavy luggage. However, this was not the hotel’s fault, so I’m okay with it.
If you check in during the afternoon on the 4th floor, you may notice a strong garbage or sewage smell in the corridor due to room cleaning, and perhaps because the garbage room is open during cleanup time. The smell goes away at night when you return to the hotel after your day trip.
Another comment is that the hotel could consider installing doors at the entrance of the public toilets on the 4th floor, as it was quite a sight every time I passed that section on the way to the breakfast hall.
Overall, the hotel is still okay in terms of price, room size, and location.

I traveled with my parents and a dog. This hotel has free pick-up service and is pet-friendly. I booked two rooms. The hotel facilities are new and clean. The front desk lady and the pick-up driver are very nice. It is worth recommending.

laker0824The hygiene was impeccable, the room was bright with no strange odors, and the wet/dry separation in the bathroom was very clean. The front desk staff were attentive and promptly responded to any requests. The surrounding area has convenient transportation and is quiet, not noisy. The mattress was just right—not too soft, not too firm—and very comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend it.

Shadow31Very bad experience. Would not recommend.
Right from the moment we arrived, it was disappointing. We had a lot of luggage since we were traveling from Nanning, and there was no one to receive us or guide us — just a dark alley with no staff in sight. We had to call the number listed, and even then, the person on the call had no idea where we were supposed to check in. After some confusion, we had to walk around 200 meters to a completely different hotel’s service center just to check in. Even there, the service was terrible — the staff were casually chatting on WeChat and clearly had no clue what they were doing. We waited nearly 30 minutes before they finally said we should go to another hotel nearby. They gave us a room card and we moved all our luggage there, only to get a call saying the room was already booked for the next day — so we had to move again. Thankfully, we hadn’t unpacked yet, but it was still exhausting and unacceptable. Even basic things like water bottles weren’t available — we were told they would send a message in a WeChat group and they would deliver it to the room later. Seriously? Overall, the experience was chaotic, unprofessional, and stressful. The only positive part was the security staff — they were actually helpful and polite. Everything else? Not worth it.
