"Driving all the way to Guiyang! The biggest surprise of our trip was definitely the Balleton Hotel 🏨. The entire building has a super tall design, exuding a modern, minimalist, and high-end feel. The views are expansive and clear, and downstairs is a bustling commercial street. It's incredibly convenient for dining, entertainment, and getting around – the location is truly unbeatable! What truly captivated me was the hotel's unique 'stormy rain' hot spring bath 🌧️. You book in advance and get a private 30-minute session. No queuing, no strangers to disturb you. The immersive light and shadow combined with the serene water ambiance really set the mood. Accompanied by the gentle sound of rain, the atmosphere is quiet and healing. All the fatigue from a day of driving melted away instantly here. The hotel's facilities are very new and incredibly well-maintained. The rooms are clean, tidy, and comfortably laid out, making for a truly pleasant stay. The overall experience feels understated yet premium, perfect for a travel stopover. If you're coming to Guiyang for a self-drive trip, vacation, or a short getaway, and you want a hotel that's conveniently located in the city, has a luxurious environment, and offers a unique experience, you really can't go wrong with this one! 🥰"

"The hotel's service and cleanliness are both excellent. The manager is very friendly and approachable. The room is spotless and tidy, and the view from the window is great. The most comfortable part was relaxing in the hot tub while enjoying some delicious food – it instantly calmed my restless mind. I genuinely recommend it!"

Grand Guishan Hotel

"The hotel service was excellent, and the lovely lady at the front desk upgraded my room for free. The room was quite spacious; I was on a business trip alone and booked a king-sized bed, which was very comfortable. I didn't include breakfast, so I didn't eat it. The hotel lobby sells Haagen-Dazs ice cream for 45 yuan, which is a bit pricey, but there's nowhere else nearby that sells it. There are several convenience stores and a KFC near the hotel. Just a two-minute walk from the hotel entrance is Minsheng Road Snack Street, and the nearest cinema is a five-minute walk away. All the hotel staff were very friendly and greeted me actively. The only minor drawback was the unstable Wi-Fi in the room, which frequently disconnected. I had to use my phone's hotspot, perhaps because I had multiple devices connected to the Wi-Fi, hogging the network resources. Overall, the hotel is in the heart of Guiyang, a well-located hotel with convenient access to everything. The rooms in this officially four-star hotel are not expensive either. I highly recommend it to everyone."

"One word: Terrible. Because we were staying for two consecutive nights, we were exhausted from sightseeing on the second day. When we got back to the hotel, we were just tired and wanted to lie down immediately. However, we couldn't unlock our room card after trying for a long time. We called the front desk multiple times, but it was always busy. Then we found the hotel's phone number on a travel platform. They told us that the room cards are demagnetized daily and we need to go to the front desk every day (the front desk and hotel are separate). Why didn't they inform us when we checked in? And knowing we were staying for two consecutive nights, why did they do this? We said we were too tired to go to the front desk and asked them to open the door. They said okay, and then a staff member came, but he had a very sour face, like we owed him money. The experience was extremely poor. On the first day, a staff member mistakenly gave us the wrong room card, but she noticed it immediately and chased after us with a sincere and polite attitude. We didn't mind and were all smiling, not thinking about being angry. So attitude is really important. However, I'm speechless at the mentality of this staff member who brought us the room card. Then today we checked out. We packed up and went down to the front desk to check out, only to find the front door locked. We were stunned. This is the most outrageous experience we've ever had at any hotel. We left after 10 pm, and their front desk was still closed. I don't understand this hotel's bizarre practices. As for the room facilities, I'm speechless. The bathroom door was broken; we couldn't even close it properly. Secondly, the bathroom didn't have a ventilation system, and there was no heating either. Although we don't need the heating right now in this weather, why are they missing even these basic amenities? In short, avoid this hotel; I don't recommend anyone stay here."

"It's pretty good and clean, but the bathroom still smells bad. Everything else is fine."

Airport Hotel

"Arrived at the airport in the middle of the night. Tried calling the hotel multiple times but the line was always busy. Had to walk through the rain to the front desk. A middle-aged woman came out and said the landline wasn't properly placed. I don't know if it was intentional, but even if it wasn't, it's still a management issue."

Atour Hotel, West Square, Guiyang North Station

"The whole place is fantastic. It comes with laundry services, you just have to write a note with your room number and the cleaning crew will help you with the laundry. Most of the important amenities are there with the exception of a fridge. Apparently fridge are only provided in the more expensive room type. However, that still doesn't deter me from staying here. It's a superb hotel after all with free shuttle service to the nearest train station which is 10min away. Place is also super clean."

"This is my go-to hotel whenever I'm on a business trip. Its biggest selling point is being super close to the subway station, making commuting an absolute breeze. The value for money is great, with reasonable prices that are very cost-effective. The service is incredibly warm and attentive, and the front desk is always prompt in their responses. The rooms are clean, tidy, and well-equipped, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay."

Lavande Hotel (Guiyang North High-speed Railway Station Maotai International Center)

"We upgraded our room type and had a great stay. The hygiene was excellent, and the decor maintained its usual high standard. It offers great value for money. The location is superb, making it easy for high-speed rail travelers to quickly reach and rest. The front desk staff were professional, responsible, and very friendly."
