I have traveled to more than 30 countries over the past 12 years, and this is the first time I have truly felt that I could call a hotel ”home”—even though so many hotels try to create that feeling. We live in France and flew to China for vacation, hoping to experience both the peaceful natural wonders and the lively local culture of Yangshuo. This hotel’s location is perfect! It sits directly in front of the Li River with an unobstructed view, yet it is just a short walk to West Street and the harbor. We could easily switch between a peaceful, relaxing session overlooking the river and an energetic exploration of the local crowds. Taking a warm bath while gazing at the river and mist-shrouded mountains—all while enjoying local tea and sweets—was an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself is brand new, featuring excellent and spotless facilities, including a 24-hour free self-service laundry and a rooftop with stunning open views. The design beautifully blends modern style with local Chinese Zhuang culture. On top of that, the hotel offers free access to local ”Ta-Ying” activities, photo shoots in traditional minority costumes, and discounted tickets for popular local shows like Impression Liu Sanjie. Most importantly, the hospitality was extraordinary. The team treated us with immense care and kindness from the moment we arrived until well after we got back home to France! They used professional translation devices to ensure seamless communication. The hotel manager, Ms. Ni, along with front desk staff Ms. Deng and Ms. Li, not only responded attentively to every request throughout our stay, but also provided invaluable advice for exploring Yangshuo. We were even given a thoughtful gift set when checking out at 6:00 AM, followed by a warm message once we returned home. This level of hospitality truly deserves to be recognized and appreciated. I am deeply grateful for their professionalism and hard work, and I wish the entire team and the hotel all the best!

I highly recommend this hotel in Guilin. The location is excellent; Elephant Trunk Hill and Sun and Moon Pagodas are all within walking distance. There are also many noodle shops and highly-rated restaurants nearby. We traveled to Guilin with our child and chose a family room on the 10th floor. The kids' play area is right outside the door in the hallway, and our child absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave the hotel. The rooms in this row, facing the play area, are very spacious and comfortable. They also come equipped with rocking horses, crawling mats, and small tents, making it an ideal choice for a family trip. On top of that, it offers great value for money. The hotel breakfast was also good; we stayed for three days, and the breakfast menu was different every morning. Oh, and the front desk also provided different small desserts every evening, which was a very nice touch!

I visited during the off-peak season, and the hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the cruise pier, making it convenient to get to West Street. The river view room really won me over, and there's also a viewing terrace upstairs. The service was great; the front desk and restaurant staff were very polite and thoughtful. The hardware facilities are far superior to chain hotels – the lighting control, power outlets, sofa, and bedside tables are all very thoughtfully designed. The only minor thing is that the cruise boats on the river might sound their horns; I heard it twice in the morning, but it was still acceptable. I'd give it a 4.5-star rating to encourage them! 😁 Overall, I highly recommend this place and will choose to stay here again on my next visit.

On my second day in Yangshuo, I switched to this hotel called 'Zai Shui Yi Fang' (Riverside Haven), and I knew I made the right choice as soon as I checked in. It’s located right in the prime section of the Ten-Mile Gallery. Instead of the hustle and bustle of West Street, you get peace and quiet, surrounded by majestic peak forests. The hotel's design and aesthetic really hit the spot for me—the attention to detail and texture are top-notch, and the amenities in the room are very thoughtful. Sitting in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, the rolling mountain views are right there in front of you, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in Yangshuo's landscape without even stepping outside. The open-air infinity pool on the first floor faces the mountains directly. You definitely have to book a floating afternoon tea here; with the Karst peak forest in the background, you can effortlessly snap breathtaking, atmospheric photos. Be sure to check out the rooftop viewing platform on the 6th floor—the view is incredible and perfect for photos. You can also enjoy a coffee or afternoon tea here, sipping slowly while the mountain breeze blows by with the peaks right in front of you. There’s also a swing by the lawn where you can just sit, catch the breeze, and zone out. It’s the ultimate relaxing experience. The butler service was very prompt and responsive, and their breakfast is a major highlight, packed with local character. This is the beauty of taking a relaxing off-peak vacation—no rushing around, just finding a cozy guesthouse to soak in the scenery at your own pace. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place to stay in Yangshuo.

I was very satisfied with the architecture and tranquility of The Sugar House. It's a shame that it was too hot during my recent visit, so I couldn't spend much time exploring outdoors. The architecture and scenery here are so skillfully integrated that there's no spot you wouldn't want to stop and admire. Additionally, this hotel offers Black Diamond privileges, which included vouchers and some small gifts – a delightful surprise for my first experience. The room was very clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding and excellent blackout curtains, allowing for a very peaceful sleep. The outdoor view was also beautiful; lounging or working on the balcony was quite relaxing. The hotel offers many activities, so even if you don't leave the hotel during the National Day holiday, there's plenty to participate in. Unfortunately, due to my itinerary, I only got to experience the basket swing activity once. Dinner at the restaurant was slightly more expensive than outside, but the taste was decent. Western cuisine seemed to be a slightly better choice than Chinese. Breakfast had limited options, a combination of à la carte and buffet, and the taste was just okay, not particularly delicious. You can ask for dry mix rice noodles, as the default comes with soup, but I found the dry mix to be tastier. I highly recommend the travel photography session. The photographer here previously worked for Earl Travel Photography, so their skills are excellent. The shooting process was very relaxed, and I was happy with the finished photos. Some suggestions for improvement: the service staff seemed less professional. The restaurant staff stuttered when asked about dishes and mostly had expressionless faces. Some of them were interns. Also, the door leading to the balcony from the restaurant had no resistance and slammed shut if you let go, which was quite disruptive during meals. Furthermore, the body lotion in the toiletries was incredibly difficult to squeeze out; it took forever to get any out to use as a body lotion. I might come back again when it's cooler. Overall, it was a good experience, and this was the best hotel experience I had in Yangshuo this time.

The service attitude was excellent, and it's just a ten-minute walk to West Street. Parking right in front of the hotel is convenient, and it's about two kilometers to Guilin Romance Park. The hotel has a ball pit on the first floor which the kids absolutely loved. We'll definitely stay here again if we get the chance.

First off, the hotel's ambiance is truly exceptional, making it perfect for a staycation. Our villa faced the Qianguqing Scenic Area, backed by mountains and forests. Plus, the restaurant and rooms all offered breathtaking views of the natural landscape. Every corner of the hotel felt thoughtfully designed – you could take amazing photos anywhere. The seventh floor houses the restaurant, and there's an outdoor pool on the eighth, which was incredibly relaxing. It's the kind of place where you could happily spend an entire day. Secondly, the location is incredibly convenient. Right next to the Qianguqing Scenic Area, it's also very close to the Yulong River, West Street, and the Ten-Mile Gallery. Thirdly, the butler service was incredibly attentive and warm, making us feel right at home. Overall, highly recommended!

The environment here is fantastic, and the location is excellent with beautiful scenery. When you open the curtains, it's like a landscape painting right outside your window. You can watch the Yulong River bamboo rafts from the hotel, and their movement across the water adds a vibrant touch to the scene – truly delightful! It has a swimming pool, which is perfect for families with kids, giving you a chance to relax. You absolutely can't go wrong choosing this hotel if you're traveling with children. You can also put on a long dress and swing by the river; you'll feel like a fairy! You swing while watching the bamboo rafts on the river, and the tourists on the rafts watch you – becoming beautiful scenery for each other.

Finally, I got to stay in my dream river-view room in Yangshuo! 🏨 This 270° river-view room with a balcony bathtub is picture-perfect; every shot looks like a masterpiece, offering exclusive romantic views of the Li River. The location is a huge plus, making getting around super easy! It's a 5-minute walk to Guanlian Pier and just 10 minutes to Yangshuo West Street. It's also convenient to rent electric scooters nearby, and for those driving, there's a free parking lot and charging stations. The massive balcony directly faces the Li River, offering panoramic views of the mountains and water, creating an instant luxurious ambiance. The hotel boasts a popular infinity pool and a 'Sky Mirror' that's great for photos, plus a fully equipped gym and a children's play area, making it suitable for both couples and families. The breakfast and dinner experience was excellent. There's a rich selection of both Chinese and Western breakfast options, and upon check-in, we received a complimentary exquisite double welcome afternoon tea, which was both beautiful and delicious. 📍 Shixi Tianyue Riverview Hotel (Yangshuo West Street Li River Branch)

We stayed here during the October Golden Week holiday, booking a Deluxe Room on the 6th floor with a mountain view. The window offered a great view of the hotel lawn, pool, and distant mountains. The Deluxe Club Lounge provides light meals. Since we were traveling with seniors and children who can't eat spicy food, we actually had fewer opportunities to try local delicacies outside the hotel, which is typical for family trips. We stayed for five days, and every evening we had dinner at the Club Lounge. The restaurant changed 1-2 hot dishes daily, but most other items remained the same. They always had freshly made Guilin rice noodles. Food quantity and hygiene were definitely not issues. I enjoy drinking tea, and it was available from day to night, conveniently located on the same floor as our room. During the Golden Week, my child participated in a paid cookie-making activity. There were four children, and the session was well-organized, and the finished cookies were good. My child loved it. On October 5th, we had booked a day trip to Longji Terraces, and the tour guide informed us we needed to leave at 5:40 AM, which meant missing breakfast. We contacted the hotel in advance, and they offered to pack a simple breakfast for us to take on the road. It included a boiled egg, yogurt, an apple, four types of small bread, and a bottle of water – very good, clean, and hygienic. Besides the view, the hotel room also had good soundproofing. The shower head had strong water pressure, and I didn't notice any of the yellowing or damage mentioned in some reviews. However, the complimentary bottled water was a bit difficult to open, and there were no disposable toilet seat covers provided. The hotel gym has a free ping-pong room. My son and I visited it twice and really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a smooth and pleasant family trip.
