"my son and I stayed one night here on our way back from Yangshuo and it was a great experience , i would highly recommend staying here - the hotel is in a great location at the entrance to a busy shopping street with night market stalls , opposite the entrance to the ancient city and a 10 minute walk to the moon and sun towers - all worth a look - the hotel itself is modern , very clean and quiet with spacious rooms, a relaxing lobby area and a rooftop bar and restaurant with great views over the city and to the mountains - Patrick the manager speaks excellent English and was super helpful with local knowledge and recommendations - we would definitely stay here again if in Gulin"

With a view right outside the window, stepping downstairs transports you into a picturesque scroll of mountains and rivers – distant peaks like painted brows, nearby waters hazy with mist, and swirling clouds that make you feel like you've entered an ink-wash fairyland. Choosing this place meant even a rainy day became a rare and beautiful experience. What was even more delightful was the hotel's service. The one-on-one butler was thoughtful and meticulous, ensuring everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out. In the morning, that authentic bowl of Guilin rice noodles, with its rich卤香 (lu xiang - savory braised flavor), left a lasting impression. The room facilities were comprehensive, and the cleanliness was impeccable. This trip's perfect experience was set from the moment I first gazed out the window at the stunning view. Waking up in a misty haze and falling asleep surrounded by mountains and rivers – I wholeheartedly recommend this Guilin to anyone yearning for a poetic escape."

"The hotel's location is pretty good, very close to the scenic area, just a few minutes drive away. My friends and I came to Guilin for a trip and after comparing several hotels, we decided on this one. It exceeded our expectations! The dry and wet separation design is very thoughtful, and the mattress is just right – not too soft, not too hard. I had a great night's sleep and felt refreshed. They also have a self-service laundry room, which is super convenient for lazy people like us, haha. The snacks and coffee in the lobby are good too!"

"The hotel's location is great, very convenient for transportation. It's right by the central plaza and a food street. The facilities are excellent and well-equipped. They even helped retrieve items I left behind during checkout. Plus, it's right next to a bus stop, making getting around super easy. The hotel service is very good, and the laundry room is a real convenience."

"Facilities: We brought a baby with us, and the facilities were very complete. There was a direct drinking water dispenser, a dryer, umbrellas, and even small hair clips for girls. Seriously, they've thought of everything! There's also a kids' play area, a gym, a swimming pool, and a DIY craft area. Each area isn't huge, but it's like a sparrow, small but complete with all its organs! (Meaning, small but has everything one needs). Hygiene: The room was cleaned very well. If we needed anything changed, the housekeeping auntie would come and clean right away. Environment: Opening the curtains, you can see the Li River, and there's a park right next to it. It's convenient to go anywhere, and the environment is beautiful. Service: SERVICE!!! This is especially worth mentioning!!! All the staff members had an exceptionally good attitude! We were two families traveling together, and they specially arranged adjacent rooms for our convenience. We arrived around 10 am, and since the previous guests checked out early, our rooms were already cleaned, so they arranged for us to check in early without any fuss about not checking in before the designated time. During our stay, they did their best to fulfill any requests we had. Guilin has a lot of rain, and when we were leaving, our car had a lot of fallen petals on it, and the duty manager thoughtfully helped us clean it! After checking out, the manager saw we were leaving and offered to help us move our luggage to the car! They also gave us some local specialties as souvenirs and asked if we had any suggestions for improvement. Any suggestions we made, they tried their best to meet and implement. In all aspects, it was the kind of place where you couldn't find fault even if you tried to nitpick. After we left, the auntie discovered we had forgotten something, immediately took a photo, and sent it to us. We hadn't gone far, so we turned back to pick it up. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The value for money is also great!!!!!!!!!! There's also a swimming pool on the rooftop, so bring your swimsuit!!!!!!!!!! The experience was amazing!!!!!!!!!! No exaggeration, you could spend a whole day just playing at the hotel, haha."

"I've wanted to stay at the Lijiang Waterfall Hotel for a long time, and I finally had the chance during my trip to Guilin. It definitely lived up to expectations! The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area. You can even get a panoramic view of it from the top floor. The lake view was absolutely stunning. The front desk staff was very kind and even upgraded my room. The service was top-notch and very thoughtful, truly befitting a five-star hotel. The room had a bathtub, which was perfect for a relaxing soak after a long day of sightseeing. Overall, the hotel was perfect, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Guilin."

"Guilin Shangri-La, I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely love it!! Is Guilin Shangri-La old? No! While it's a bit older, every single facility is incredibly well-maintained! And the food? Even better! Perhaps my experience is limited, but my 6-year-old and I have traveled to 129 cities, and the variety and taste of the food in Guilin Shangri-La's Horizon Club (executive lounge) are super, super, super abundant!! The breakfast is also fantastic, and the Chinese food at Shang Palace is too!!! We stayed here for three days and ate our way through the entire Shangri-La from top to bottom!! The spa, gym, and pool are all super, super excellent! Big shout-out and praise to Ivan Yang from F&B, Linda Zhang from the Health Club, and Daisy Chen from the Horizon Club!! They were all absolutely, absolutely wonderful!!! Every single staff member is super, super nice!!! I love Guilin Shangri-La!! There are also many animals to see, hahaha, and even peacocks fanning their tails!"

"I spent five days in Guangxi during the May Day holiday and stayed at a few hotels, but this one was definitely the best experience. I never write hotel reviews, but I highly recommend this place! The hotel just opened this May, so it's brand new. Definitely a five-star recommendation! Attentive and Thoughtful Service 💁 As soon as I arrived, the staff proactively helped me with my luggage. They were enthusiastic and attentive throughout, with a great service mindset. They even greeted me with a smile every time we made eye contact. Pet-Friendly, Clean, and Comfortable 🐕 I brought my dog with me this time, and the hotel was very pet-friendly. The room was meticulously clean, and the bedding was super comfortable. I felt completely at ease during my stay. Excellent Location, Convenient for Getting Around The hotel is right next to a scenic area, just a two or three-minute walk away. The location is unbeatable, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. Great Dining Options 🍜 The breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes and tasted great, including Guilin's famous braised rice noodles. The hotel also has a pool; unfortunately, it wasn't open during my visit, which was a bit of a shame, but it's already on my list for my next stay! Whether you're traveling with a pet or just visiting Guilin, you should absolutely choose this hotel. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Guilin!"

"Location: It was really convenient with lots of food & bbt options around. Sightseeing is all within walking distance. It was 20 min drive away (11am) from Guilin North Railway Station (~ CNY 15) and 10 min drive away (8.30am) from Guilin Railway Station ( ~ CNY 12). Receptionist: Anna 小安 & Wendy 小文 were very friendly & informative and shared with us on locals’ favorite food & restaurants. Upgrade Room: We were given free upgrade from standard to extra room space twin. Love it! They allowed us to check in early too! Cleanliness: The room was spacious, clean & neat. Bed was comfortable too! Cons: Soundproof can be improve, I can hear the next room kids’ sound (maybe because they were just too loud) when they were playing during the day. It was quiet & peaceful at night with no issue. Tips when visiting Guilin: Do check the weather! I checkin on 28/4/26 and it rained almost the entire day, so I had to skip a lot of my sightseeing itinerary."

"I was very satisfied with my stay at this guesthouse. It has an antique charm, and the location is excellent. It's about a 15-minute walk to Elephant Trunk Hill and Sun and Moon Pagodas, and Zhengyang Pedestrian Street is right nearby."
