Guilin Inns

This is a warm inn with a very good location. It is only a few minutes' walk to Elephant Trunk Hill. It is located in the alley beside the Li River. The sky garden on the upper floor of the hotel has a beautiful view of the Li River. Sitting here drinking afternoon tea, blowing the breeze and enjoying the beautiful scenery is worth recommending. We went to Yangshuo for two days and came back and directly chose to stay in this hotel.

We had two rooms for two nights. We were in rooms just behind the tea room. The rooms were large and very nice inside. Rooms had a mini fridge, hairdryer, lovely robes and a kettle. Although you are on top of the pedestrian area we were not disturbed at all by the outside street noise. We enjoyed looking out the window and seeing the walking street views. Floors 2-3 are full of restaurants to explore, highly recommend the Korean bbq on floor 2. The hotel rooms are a bit dark because of the hotels aesthetic, it didn’t trouble us too much but might be a problem for those with sight impairments. Also both rooms have steps up into the bathroom so not completely accessible. The bathrooms do only have a curtain to separate from the room and the shower and toilets are completely glass which doesn’t frost. Be aware of this if travelling as friends/acquaintances. The room was also noisy in the morning from other guests in the tea room but not enough to negatively impact our time. Overall I would absolutely recommend this hotel if travelling to Guilin. It allows you to be very close to the tourist area and within walking distance of the pagodas and elephant rock. The staff were also very helpful and accommodating.

The hotel is set at the most gorgeous location, views of the mountains, many restaurants nearby. The host (Siau Ming) was super hospitable - he helped us with our bags to the room, had fresh iced Osmanthus sour plum tea for us at arrival and when we were back, he even packed some crossaint/biscuits for us to go. Breakfast was either bread with passion fruit jam & butter or guilin noodles (so good), served with mango and coffee. He was very attentive to our needs. The rooms are as gorgeous as depicted in their pictures. 5 star quality with a homely Chinoiserie design. Laundry was free - we just had to put our laundry in the basket in the morning and it would be ready in the evening. Appreciated in the 38C weather. The stay at Secret Courtyard made Guilin an enjoyable and memorable experience.

The hotel is halfway up the mountain, right next to the Drum Tower, in fact, it is the Shangshan Ruoshui Hotel, we just started to walk. The surrounding environment of the hotel is very good, suitable for holiday relaxation, the scenery on the mountain is very general, because there is no maintenance and operation, it feels a bit desolate, but there are not many people, belonging to the small attractions.

Clean and a nice place to stay with a rooftop that had views of the scenery. WiFi in the rooms wasn’t the best, friendly staff though. You have to pay more for a western breakfast but it was nice for what it was 😊

It is a little far from several tourist spots in Guilin, so you need transportation when you move. The interior landscape is very good, and it seems to be good for those who find a quiet place with good scenery.

Qiwuli Boutique Hotel is in a good location. The room facilities are complete. Clean and tidy. Convenient dining and shopping around. The disadvantage is that you can't park in front of the hotel. It is not convenient to park more luggage for self-driving tours. Fortunately, the hotel can arrange free parking at the Four Seasons Beauty Hotel, which is 196 meters away. Overall praise.

The hotel has a very good price/quality ratio. 1) Very responsive, hospitable and helpful staff, speaking English. 2) Convenient location of the hotel - close to the Guilin Railway Station, Guilin Qintan Bus Station, Xiangjiang Hotel (from which buses to the Longji rice terraces depart), the parks in the city center. There are many cafes and supermarkets nearby. 3) The room has everything you need, we did not need anything.

The location is within 20 minutes of walking from the scenic spot. There is a staircase luggage that needs to be carried up by yourself. The room is small but the environment is well arranged. There are kittens to carry 🐱.

The room was very nice with a lovely view on the river and the garden. The location is close to Elephant Trunk Hill and the city center. Quiet surroundings and good restaurants and amenities nearby. The owners are extremely kind and helpful for any necessity. Plus they have a really cute dog, Pu'er, two cats and a turtle as well! We really enjoyed our stay and we recommend it to everybody who wants to visit Guilin, Yangshuo, rice terraces and this amazing Chinese region.
