Great, cheap hotel, right at Darling Harbour. 5 minutes from everywhere. Very helpful, friendly staff. I only stayed one night because that’s all I needed but it is always my ‘go-to’ place in Sydney.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was pleased with the overall experience. The location is fantastic, offering easy access to nearby attractions and transportation. The price was very reasonable for the area. While the amenities and service were generally average, they met my needs and expectations. If you're looking for a great spot in a prime location at a good price, this hotel is a solid choice.

As a solo female traveler, I had a great stay at this capsule hotel! The pod was bigger than I expected, very cozy, and I felt safe the entire time. While you can't lock the capsule due to fire safety regulations, it wasn’t an issue. Just be mindful not to spray anything inside, as you could get fined. The bathrooms are unisex but can be locked for privacy, which was nice but I didn’t use the showers the one night I stayed. The bed was a little firm but still comfortable with the pillow and duvet. Loved having access to a laundry room and large storage lockers too—super convenient! Very good location too! I prefer these to hostels and you feel like you have your own space!

My wife and I spent a weekend in Sydney and stayed at ibis barangoo
For the price that was asked for the king size bedroom that we stayed in facility, the absolute brilliant location and bend over backwards service from staff. I would highly recommend anybody to stay here especially if number one you’re on a budget and number two. You are looking for somewhere fairly priced and in probably the best location in the CBD.
We will be staying here again in the future as well as encouraging family and friends to do so
Last week and extra thank you to staff member JORDAN GIANNOPOULOS
Nothing was too much for his , Jordan is a credit and asset to the Ibis organisation
Enjoy your stay, regards Anthony.

The location is really good, no 5 minutes walk to the attraction. But because it is close to the roadside, it will feel noisy at night. The service is very good and very welcoming. The hotel is a bit old.

After a mammoth refurbishment of every room with a total redesign of the hotel concept inspired by interior design heros, Chada, The Clarence Hotel has opened December 2024, as the most modern and chic boutique hotel in Sydney.
It's left it's past behind, and has created a colourful and cosy concept that will have you extending your stay and feeling like home.
The local neighbourhood is a flourish for foodies, and so central that it's a walk to all Sydney has to offer from business to attractions.

The lady at the front desk was very nice, ah, ah, awesome, and the plot staff was very cute when I stayed a few days later, and put the three dolls of our three girls on the bed. When I went back, it was super warm and tidy. , I just walked to the shopping place, and I was super close to darling harbour. I was very satisfied after five nights in Sydney. & # 128076; & # 127995; & # 128076; & # 127995;

Compared with Xiamen Airlines transit hotel 1983Hotel, the price of this triple room is not very friendly! The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance to Darling Harbour, Chinatown, Sydney Opera House, and you can also take the bus to Coochie Beach, and the subway is very convenient! The hotel has some Chinese signs, the passage seems a bit narrow, and it is shared with residential buildings and is a high-rise building! The hotel is ok, and the room service is average! The king bed is two single beds put together, and the left and right are uneven!

GGuest UserUnfortunately, no AC and therefore too expensive! Pool is boring and covered which makes it too hot to stay there. Staff very friendly and helpful. Fridges should be checked more often as old grocery always to find. AC in seating area always too cold! Toilets/Showers very small in female area. Located well next to Tram and central station, a bit far tho to Opera House and The Rocks, Circular Quay.
AAnonymous UserGreat location, just a short walk from train station. There is a woolworths on other side of train station, very convenient. Only one or two train stops and will reach city centre. Was given free breakfast, with a 24h access to coffee machine. Only first day didn't have housekeeping, we asked for housekeeping on second morning and subsequently had our rubbish cleared and soaps refilled. Overall a great stay!

GGuest UserThe main advantage of this place is its location. It's a five mins walk to Randwick light rail station. Randwick light rail station is the last stop also. The place is right opposite to two hospitals. As a foreign tourist, I find this place safe, quiet, and easy to access by light rail transport. Coles and Woolworth's supermarkets are ten minute walk from this place. A good location if your children are studying at UNSW as it is one rail stop to UNSW High Street. You can also walk to UNSW from Randwick light rail station (15 mins walk). Please note there are no lifts in this place. Hence you will need to carry your own check-in luggage. There are no bell boys to do this. The kitchen is shared and so is the laundry. You will need to use three one-dollar coins for the washing machine and three one-dollar coins for the dryer. You may need to use the dryer twice hence you will need to spend A$6 on drying your dress. The reception will help you with changing your notes to coins. You need to use your own washing powder and fabric softener. There are lots of eateries around this place including KFC, Oporto, manoosh pizza, and MacDonald to name a few. Rooms are cleaned only once a week. You will need to help yourself with fresh towels that are placed in the common area. For someone from Singapore like myself, this is a very odd culture for a Hotel. Parking is pain and this place doesn't provide one. It will cost you A$ 50 per day for an over night parking. Wilson Parking is close by at Ritz cinema if you want to park your rent a car. I guess that's how it is here in Sydney. Overall a good place to stay and the location is the best part of this stay.
RRussell AlanThey let us check in a little early and check in is actually behind a bar/restaurant. Check in was easy and the room was ok, no view, but we didnt pay for one. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. This hotel is in a great walking location to many restaurants and sights. I would stay here again. FYI, the elevator is really small but we never had to wait for it which was nice.

Very Good
RRNSGreat staff and very attentive to some issues we had with the room at the beginning and everything went well ….until …. At 12 midnight we woke up with excruciating screams of a woman (drunk? **************? Echoing in the car yard , Banging on our and other doors and cars using F words …running around like a mad.. then I heard One of the guests yelling shut the…up then he called the pub security and they came to trying to calm the woman she wouldn’t stop and the man next door was very angry yelling at her to shut up… after 15-20 min security and one of the night staff escorted the woman who stayed next door to us, she drove off when still screaming and constantly horning her car
After she left I opened the door very shaky and spoke to the staff and advised her how stressful and scared I was about the situation waling up with this noise. Then i checked our car to see if it was damaged or not, luckily wasn’t. She said she will get her manager to call me on Monday to refund or work something out (a free room next time, etc) she said the same thing to the man who was next door and upset about the situation
Absolute NIGHTMARE absolutely!!!! Staff are really nice though. They tried their very best.
GGuest UserI stayed in a 6-person room for girls. There were several large windows, which provided plenty of light. The room was not crowded, the mattress was comfortable, and someone came to clean the room every day. The roommates were friendly. The kitchen was large and convenient for cooking. The location of the hotel was very convenient, close to Chinatown and the market. The food and drinks were good. The staff was friendly and the stay was very comfortable. The free breakfast was not very rich, but it basically met the needs. It was enough and fresh. I will come again next time. It is economical and affordable.
GGuest UserI requested some special request like room in the upstairs and for microwave to the hotel fron trip app. The receptionist mentioned there is no request she can read. She was trying to give room in the ground floor. My request was fulfilled the next day but was unexpected. Overall the room is really nice and service too.
SSallyVery clean room with a comfortable bed. The only downside was the noise from the endless traffic but I did sleep well despite it. No food provided by the hotel so you do need to pop out to the pizza restaurant on the corner (The pizza was delicious!) or to one of the grocery stores just down the road which was easy enough to do.
