SSRuss83I stayed in Box Hill motel between 3rd of Nov'23 - 5th of Nov'23. My husband and I arrived at Box Hill motel around 12-1pm. We were so exhausted as we took turn driving from Sydney - Melbourne. We drove from Sydney past midnight. Upon calling if we would be let in early, surprisingly it is allowed. Otherwise we would have slept in the car until check-in time if the room isn't ready yet. We got room no.1 and it was very clean. I didn't use the towel as I prefer to use my own towel, my husband also use his own towel.
One of the hanging towel though had a snot on it and I put that towel aside despite we didn't use it. There were 3x plates in total and one of the plate was dirty and I assumed previous guest must have used this 1 plate and didn't wash it but instead just slipped it in between the clean plate. We used 2x plates for ourselves but I washed the 3x plates myself.
Great Wifi speed too as I was able to complete a little bit of work from Room no.1.
My parents always taught me to appreciate and respect people's places. Upon checking out, I saw Carol and OMG, she is so kind, friendly, down to earth and helpful. She was busy rolling people's luggage to their room. I remember my father always taught me the great businessman is not the one who always wanted to be served but the one who knew how to serve others first. There's a saying about ”servant leadership”. A great leader know how it feels to be at the bottom to observe, learn and serving others as well as better appreciate the top and experience various roles to understand the duties and responsibilities of each roles.
THANK YOU Box hill motel team and Carol too for allowing us to stay at your beautiful clean and tidy place. We were able to sleep very soundly, hope nobody can hear us snoring :)
I highly recommend Box Hill motel, Melbourne to anyone on a trip to Melbourne.

GGuest UserGood budget option if you want to be central in Melbourne and save your money for Australia fun! The location was perfect for getting to the MCG (30 minute walk), Fitzroy (20 minute walk) and the main stations (30 minute walk). The rooftop area is really comfortable if you want to chill in the sun and all the staff were really friendly and helpful.

NNaidu86Hotel front desk staffs were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed talking to them. Hotel room is just perfect for a Solo traveller in terms of room size, facilities, lighting, etc. I love the room interior. It looks bright and motivating. Lighting is bright which I always prefer and I have the option to switch off some lights if I want it a bit darker before sleeping. Toilet looks compact but there is certainly enough space to take shower and do other stuff. There is a sofa which makes the room look more classy. The bed, pillow and sofa are very comfortable. I was able to adjust the Aircon and keep myself warm and comfortable. In room dining service was excellent. I ordered a vegetarian dish and it was tasty. Hotel is conveniently situated within CBD and I am able to walk over to wherever I want or take tram and travel around the city. I love this hotel and I will stay in this hotel again when I revisit Melbourne in the coming months.

GGuest Userit knows what it is, basic clean reasonable accommodation in a fantastic location. Not trying to be anything but it’s not.
Old building of course could be done up but of course then all prices would go up equivalently so again and come back to the original point it’s simple basic accommodation that is useful when you need a quick night accommodation.
Instructions were really good getting into the place late at night. The room was immaculately clean even if it was old. Overall would stay there if I needed accommodation for one night. I would suggest a touch expensive for what it is.

AAbi3000Nice room, however toilets kept blocking up every couple days and the showers could be a bit cleaner. There was one shower on our floor and 2 toilets which didn’t seem like enough.

EEmySanjayaIt's just one block from Southern Cross Skybus station to Melboune Toulamarine Airport around 5 minutes walking distance. When we were there, the lobby area is on maintenance so a bit dusty but overall all good and in order. The receptionist all are friendly and helpful. Location is very good in the center and not far from free city tram.

AAnonymous UserBounce has been a great hostel to visit as a first time solo traveller! Staff are welcoming and always happy to answer any questions about the city or rooms. Overall the rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and people are nice! Kitchen is great with loads of accessibility and fridge space! I would recommend to stay if you’re visiting Melbourne!

It’s ok for one day. Staffs , well they are doing their Jo. It’s a budget motel , I don’t expect much.
