GGuest UserThis guest house left me with mixed feelings. Let's start with the good things. The location is super convenient: right in the old town and yet in a relatively quiet area. It's close to the river so you can take a refreshing night stroll, and close to a delicious bakery/café you'll never forget. The atmosphere of the guest house is rustic and cozy, with a laundry room that, despite its very limited space, serves the purpose. There are also cats and a dog you can freely play with. The bed was comfortable for us (a bit on the harder side). The owners speak English so you can easily communicate with them. They are very kind and helpful. However, a few things about this stay got me extremely disappointed, particularly taking into consideration the positive reviews I had read (which honestly I don't understand where they came from). The room was far from clean. There was a very visible layer of dust. The cushion seats had huge stains and looked dirty overall. The shower room did not get cleaned very regularly, as you can see from the picture. In general everything in the property looked outdated and cheap (wobbly sink taps, doors with huge gaps, that give way to all sorts of bugs and giant spiders..). The fact that the toilet is next to the shower room leaves no room for privacy and makes the toilet floor wet most of the time (this could be solved with a proper shower door instead of a curtain). In conclusion, I was more than happy to leave the property because it did not meet my standards for comfort and hygiene. However, if you don't particularly care about a certain degree of dirt and dust here and there, and are cool with bugs, then you should definitely go for it as you might really like the retro atmosphere of the place.

MM59207****I rarely give positive reviews. This B&B is so captivating I couldn't leave again! A 5-star rating: 1. Cleanliness 5-star 2. Ambience 5-star 3. Service 5-star 4. The B&B is located between the scenic area and the ancient town. A 20-yuan walk to the scenic area takes 4 minutes, and a 4-minute walk to the ancient town takes 5-star 5. Guilin's landscapes are the best in the world. Yangshuo's landscapes are the best in Guilin. The most beautiful scenery is in Xingping [Qiang] [Qiang] 5-star 6. Traveling here is like walking through a painting. 5-star

MMunianzishiThis was by far the most satisfying guesthouse during our trip to Yangshuo. My friends even praised my booking skills! There were so many options for rooms in Yangshuo that it was overwhelming, but we finally stumbled upon Yihe Xiaoshanju, and it was exactly my style. The guesthouse's greenery is fantastic, perfect for photos! Coincidentally, we arrived during a flood this year, and the owner contacted me in advance to update us on the weather. Luckily, the weather turned out to be super nice, and we even had a barbecue in the evening – it was awesome. The two buildings each have their own unique style, and the courtyard is full of plants and very clean. When we were taking pictures that day, the owner brought out a large mosquito repellent coil, which was very thoughtful. The barbecue was also delicious. Oh my, I don't even know how to praise it enough, because it was genuinely great. Knowing we had kids, they thoughtfully shared many details with us. The room was amazing, I didn't get a chance to take pictures, but it was very comfortable. Every time we returned, after letting the owner know in advance, they would turn on the air conditioning for us. We stayed for two days, and if we hadn't been short on time, we would have loved to stay a few more. One evening, we went to West Street for a photo shoot in traditional costumes and didn't get back until nearly 11 PM. The owner was still waiting for us – so heartwarming. Finally, a big thank you to the owner. My child accidentally made the sofa a bit dirty, and the owner told me not to worry and to just enjoy ourselves. I was preparing to pay for the cleaning fee, but the owner said it was fine. Truly so warm-hearted. After all that, I have to say, we'll definitely be back to stay again! I highly recommend it to everyone!

CCWaiIt's a great place to stay as every morning will be like god's descended down to earth and blessed the lands surrounding you. Waking up every morning, accending up the roof to take in this prestine beauty and be surrounded these beautiful mountain pillars is a blessing. This you can do every single morning at this hostel and much more. Also the staff are friendly and so very much helpful, they make the community so accessible to us forgeiners. They help you with all of the information you might need, such as food, bikes, drinks. You'll definitely know how to get around at the end of your stay. The lobby is like a living room where you meet other like minded people and where you can feel like you have a big extended family, that don't speak the same language, but share the same passions for traveling. There is also a extensive amount of books you can use that is about a whole range of topics. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The size for the price was the first thing that suprised me. That alone would make it worth it, but also the bed is large, the bathrooms are also sizable, WiFi is fast and easy to access, the TV screen is enormous. All in all I would highly recommend this place for people who would like to be surrounded by prestine nature, have easy access to city center, easy access to great food. This place is great for people who love connecting to a community but also good for people who just want enjoy their own company.

GGiuliaThis place is a jewel nestled on the hills over Xingping. Rooms are really nice and comfortable, the common area is almost poetic, with the long table over the terrace, and food is really delicious! Even if the location is quite remote, you can count on the owner to go to and from the small harbour on the river, and they will also help you with directions for all the surrounding areas. I had chosen this place mainly for its convenient location for Damianshan mountain: I was expecting to see a fantastic sunrise from the top. I am a little disappointed because the trail was not so easy to follow when we visited: vegetation hid the trail in several points and we were not able to find the last part and reach the top. I have already highlighted this to the boss so I hope they will adjust this in the future. ;) Unfortunately I only had one night / one sunrise so I missed my opportunity... we had to stop at a lower point with a nice view, but well, not *that* view. ;) Anyway, it's my only regret, for the rest everything was perfect. Thanks for everything!

The recommended restaurants are also delicious, high quality and low price. The experience of this trip is still very good! The host was incredibly welcoming, even dropping us off at the high-speed rail station when we checked out, which was the cherry on top of our trip. The courtyard is peaceful, perfect for a good night's sleep, and definitely recommended. The room environment was clean and bright, with thoughtful attention to detail, offering excellent value for money. The location is superb, close to all the main attractions. The fifth-floor viewing platform is ideal for watching the sunrise and sunset, and the surrounding decor, with its flowers and plants, is beautifully done. Full marks, highly recommended!

Jjuney22The hotel is sandwiched between a restaurant and a retail shop. Its very noisy as there are many shops and restaurants just outside the hotel. Every day there's loud music till late at night. The room is spacious and overall clean. However, there's no elevator and you have to either drag your luggage up the stairs or get the hotel staff to help you. Plus you need to drag your luggage for 10mins to catch your didi from the main road. The restaurant next to the hotel has 10% discount and their beer battered fish was very yummy. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

JJ NoI had a pretty comfortable stay here. The front desk was very friendly, could speak English, and helpful to me in recommending restaurants to find food and giving me some information on how to do local activities. I really appreciate it. The hotel room was very basic, no TV or special lighting or anything like that. I think it could definitely use a lamp or something in the room to make it more cozy because that ceiling lighting is so harsh on my eyes. My room didn't have a bathroom attached so I used the shared bathroom. I think I missed the information where the front desk person might have said I could use the downstairs showers as well as 4th floor showers. But I only used the fourth floor shower and toilet and it was rough, hair on the ground, and the shower flooded because the drain was clogged and curtain was moldy. But when I went downstairs when I checked out and I saw the other showers and toilet was quite clean! Personally I think they should all be clean and well taken care of. But, next time I would use first floor showers. Otherwise, The view on the roof is incredible!! And the restaurant food is really good too. Vegan options available as well. Unfortunately some guests who came to check in quite late were really thoughtless and were banging on a door for 2 hrs at 3am and 4am. IDK why!! But I couldn't sleep well because of this because the walls are paper thin. Not really the hotel's fault, but the walls have no sound proofing because the building is very old, but the staff also didn't try to make up for it, even though I told them what happened and asked for help with the matter at the time it was also happening. Minus a point for that. But otherwise, it was a pretty good stay. I think the rooftop view, the restaurant and the affordable price is reason enough to come back but if I were you I would bring ear plugs.
