The Westin Shenzhen Nanshan

First and foremost, I want to give a special, *special* shout-out to front desk staff member Miller! Her service was absolutely textbook-perfect. During check-in, she not only processed everything efficiently and quickly, but she also proactively and thoughtfully upgraded us to a room with a city night view, based on our preferences. This unexpected surprise instantly made us feel valued and special. **Room:** The room was spacious, bright, and spotless. The bedding was definitely high-thread-count cotton; it felt like sleeping on clouds, ensuring a restful night's sleep until morning. **Dining:** The breakfast selection was extensive, ranging from authentic Chinese dim sum to delicate Western pastries, and everything was of exceptionally high quality. **Location & Facilities:** The location is superb, with easy access to transportation.

The room felt a bit cramped. The bathroom, especially, was quite tight, and a child could easily bump into the glass partition – perhaps this is specific to our room type. The mattress was quite soft; those who prefer a firm bed might want to consider this. The room was generally clean, though the desk showed some signs of age. Breakfast was enjoyable, but I noticed several chipped table corners near the glass wall. We only became aware of this safety hazard when our child bumped into one. A simple fix like adding corner protectors would easily resolve this. On the positive side, the complimentary Westin Executive Lounge access for two was fantastic, with unlimited snacks, fruit, and tea available all day. We didn't use the exclusive discount offer (up to 10% off) at select retail, dining, and beauty stores in Yitian Holiday Plaza. We did utilize the RMB 100 dining credit at the Westin Sky Grill. The foie gras was excellent, and our child really enjoyed the steak and pumpkin soup. Although the restaurant wasn't busy, the ingredients were noticeably fresh. Finally, a big thank you to the front desk and customer service team for proactively arranging a room with a nice view and providing children's toiletries. Their service was truly excellent!👍

We booked this hotel for a family birthday celebration. Its location is fantastic, directly opposite Window of the World, and with the metro and bus stations nearby, getting around is super easy. Our room was large and quiet, and breakfast was also good. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool, which was great and even open when it rained! They also have a gym and shower facilities. I've included a photo of the view from our hotel window.
