"the room and toilet looks a little old. The toilet bowl is converntional not the auto flush and wash backside type. The front desk is extremely helpful though. The breakfast is not fastastic better to do without. Missed going, walked passed without realising to my room several times. There is a massage parlour on the 5th floor providing some relieve. A small discount when you told them recommended or introduced by the hotel."

"We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights during the national day holidays. The service and amenities were great. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and the hotel set-up the room for us and also provided a complimentary cake! The staff is very polite and helpful! Our late check out request was accommodated, which we highly appreciated. Breakfast options are great! The swimming pool was clean (but not heated as advertised). The gym was clean and spacious! The kids club was the highlight for the kids, they really enjoyed playing there every morning after breakfast. The housekeeping staff was very nice and replenished all toiletries instantly! The boys at the check-in counter were very polite and deserve a raise! The location is excellent and there are many restaurants and shopping facilities at walking distance. The only drawback is that the hotel does not have a room with two double beds. We have two kids and we booked the family room, which comes with a king bed and an extra single bed. The little one had to sleep with us and the sleeping space was tight for the three of us. I recommend adding rooms that can accommodate 2 children or a bedroom with a bunkbed option. We recommend this hotel overall."

"The hotel is a bitt older but the staff is amazing the food is amazing, everyone is very helpful, extremly helpfull actually, i was stuck here during the super typhoon, the staff was great, we felt safe taken care off all was perfect, with a bitt of renovation, the hotel would be amazing, but even though there is other newer hotels i would come back to this one, as the service and the staff are really really amazing the locations is just next to Shenzhen station and very close to Futian station, ehich makes it perfect also for travelers entering mainland china from HKG and traveling arroun in Mainland China"

"Quaint little hotel in the middle of Gankeng Hakka old town. We managed to book the Family Suite with 2 bedrooms for our family of 3 adults, and it was very comfortable and huge. The location is great as we could enjoy the beauty of the town at night with all the lights and also the serene quiet of the morning before the hordes of tourists. We enjoyed the complimentary afternoon tea set, although there was only 1 poor guy working at the cafe so it was very chaotic. The Chinese tea was very fragrant and the local snacks were interesting."

"Xiao yu was very helpful, he helped carry our luggages to the room and explain everything in the room. Not only that for our checkout he makes everything very smoothly by letting him know we want to check out and help to carry all our luggages to the reception by himself👍🏻 and he even bring us to the hotel restaurant as we couldn’t find it. Very good service and we would be back to stay again. Thank you to Xiao yu and team for making our stay pleasant ✨"

"St Regis SZ is a fantastic spot, really great atmosphere, beautiful views, and great decor & rooms. The lift going straight from the 1st floor to 96th is fun, and then views from the lobby area are gorgeous. The bar is also pretty good, I'd recommend sitting at the bar which I think is more fun than the tables which people try and wait for the views; often you'll have people walking in and around to try and get photos which can be annoying. The rooms are really nice and comfy, and the bathroom is fantastic. One suggestion I'd have is to give bubble bath along with the bath salts."

"The room facilities are brand new, featuring AI voice control. The hotel service was incredibly thoughtful, offering amenities like a 'Vitamin C station' and comforting late-night congee. Complimentary in-room beverages were also a nice touch. The hotel's location is superb, being very close to the National Exhibition Center and Zhuoyue Center, both within easy walking distance. Public transport access is excellent, with multiple subway lines nearby. Line 11 offers a direct connection to the airport, which is extremely convenient. Overall, a highly satisfying stay. I would definitely choose this hotel again."

Later, when friends made an impromptu visit, the hotel even extended a complimentary gesture – an unexpected surprise that truly exceeded all expectations. "Facilities: The overall facilities are well-maintained and very convenient to use. The bathroom, in particular, had fantastic water pressure, and a hot shower was just what I needed to relax after a tiring business trip! Cleanliness: Excellent. Many five-star hotels tend to overlook details like dusty electric kettles or dirty magnifying mirrors in the washroom, but not here! That definitely left a positive impression. Environment: Although it's an older five-star property, the overall environment is still superb. The accessible elevator for the metro station is conveniently located right opposite the hotel, and the subway passage itself is lined with many restaurants, making it very easy to explore Shenzhen's local food scene. Service: I gave five stars for all other categories, but only four for service! We only had one light carry-on suitcase for this trip. This was the first time I've encountered a hotel where the concierge completely ignored our car pulling up to the entrance and didn't offer any help with our luggage during check-in. At the Ritz-Carlton, for example, the concierge is usually ready to open the car door even before it's fully stopped, let alone expecting us to handle our own bags! It's not that we *can't* carry our own luggage, and if there were many cars and guests at the time, we'd totally understand if they were overwhelmed. But our car was stopped right in front of the concierge, with no other vehicles or guests around. So, what exactly is the purpose of having a concierge stationed at the entrance then? It's the first time I've experienced something like this, and I found it quite perplexing. On a positive note, the staff at the front desk and the concierge who handled luggage storage were incredibly enthusiastic, which makes me feel the hotel's training might be a bit inconsistent."

"A heartfelt thank you to my personal butler, Sharon. From check-in to every minor detail, her responses were incredibly prompt, and she was very attentive to our stay experience. The rest of the staff were also exceptionally friendly, making us feel incredibly welcome and at home 🫰. The hotel boasts excellent views, and its proximity to Chegongmiao Metro Station exit (less than a 5-minute walk) was a major plus! Blue taxis are always readily available right outside the entrance. Regarding the facilities: Being an older hotel (built in 2009), it understandably shows its age, but everything remains within acceptable standards. The shower temperature control could sometimes be inconsistent, fluctuating between too hot and too cold, which was a slight drawback 😥. Additionally, the room lighting was a bit dim, and the older television didn't support screen casting. Despite these minor points, my overall experience was excellent. A huge thank you to Sharon and all the staff at JW Hotel; your warmth and patience genuinely made me fall in love with this city ❤️."
