UrCove by HYATT Shenzhen Bay Mixc

I had a wonderful stay at the Shenzhen UrCove Hotel and would like to commend the excellent service provided by the staff, especially Echo (星星 from the concierge team. She was exceptionally kind and welcoming, even offering us a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay extra pleasant. Throughout our visit, the concierge team were always polite, attentive, and quick to assist with any requests, ensuring we had a smooth and enjoyable experience. The hotel room itself was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a touch of luxury that made it feel truly relaxing. Considering the high quality of the environment and service, the price was definitely great value for money. The breakfast buffet was also impressive, offering a wide selection of both Western and Chinese dishes that were fresh, tasty, and frequently replenished. The restaurant staff were courteous and efficient, keeping the dining area clean and well organized. The hotel’s location is another plus—conveniently close to several large shopping malls and supermarkets, making it an ideal place to stay for both leisure and convenience. Overall, I highly recommend the Shenzhen UrCove Hotel for its excellent hospitality, comfort, and value.

Had high hopes at UrCove but we were disappointed with the service. It's not that the staff were rude, but they were somewhat lacking the service you normally get at a hotel under the Hyatt group and for this price range. It felt a bit difficult to get in touch with the concierge if you don't know Chinese. We wanted to check if we could get an extra 1hr for a late check out without leaving the room, but it took us a while to get onto the wechat mini program and find service. But then, no one responded so we just left at 12pm. I also realised our booking included free beer from the bar which no one reminded us - at other hotels, the staff always mentions about these. The pros for this hotel are the location, the view and the large rooms with the smart toilet and smart black out curtains and we slept very well. It is about 10mins walk to Coastal City and around 20mins walk to the new MixC which was really nice as it was a bit cooler these days. Although the hotel was all very clean, the carpet in the corridor to the rooms was already dirty with several stains. The breakfast spread was also lacking with limited options and the quality needs to be improved for this price range. There is free laundry service by the gym but the gym was tiny with only has 2 treadmills and 1 elliptical machine and weights. A gym of this size is what you can get at a 300RMB/night price range hotel. Our package came with "welcome fruit" which came but nothing special. See pic #4. I suggest to just get the standard room or wait for a super good deal, if you were to stay here as it's still pleasant so you won't expect too much.

Overall, the room is clean and provided with snacks and drinks. The view is so nice that i really enjoyed. The only thing is that their hotel tv only can watch their local line tv. If you would want to watch english movies u have to use Wechat and pay for it either for 24hr or per movie. Additional, their xiao dudu controlling system is a little lag and not operating well. Not like other hotel that doing really good in capturing words. However , if you would like to enjoy a good view and a good bed to sleep. This is the place.

Hotel is close to Poly Cultural Centre about 15 minutes walk in a quiet neighbourhood. Front desk 橙橙 was helpful providing information about the hotel. Overall a pleasant stay, with facilities such as gym, laundry and lounge area on the ground floor.
