Scenic Hotels in Sapporo

"I originally planned to book Toyoko Inn, but then I saw that this hotel was even cheaper for those two days, so I booked it instead. At just over 400 RMB a night, the value for money was pretty good. The location is excellent, right next to Odori Park. The closest subway station is Nishi 11-chome, and it's not far from Odori Station either. It's also quite close to Sapporo Station, Susukino, and the Sapporo TV Tower. Sapporo's city center isn't very large, so transportation is quite convenient. The room itself was on par with an upper-mid-range budget hotel – nothing spectacular, but perfectly decent. It was quiet and comfortable for sleeping."

"The basics of all city hotels - location, location, location..... !!! And Hotel Stream is smacked in the heart of everything Sapporo has to offer unless you prefer a quieter and calmer spot then this hotel is NOT for you. Rooms are pretty standard in terms of size and amenities, it's, quiet, and great for city strolling. If your intention is to use this hotel as your base to do day trips to Furano & Biei, The Hill of the Buddha Moai, or the renowned Otaru (which unfortunately isn't that muchl unless you're a die hard music box & glass making fan) this is your BEST CHOICE until Hyatt House opens in Oct 2026 (a bird told me - for those Globalist out there) . Oh... a BIG tip by the way (if you've been reading till this point: request for a room with a direct view of the Sapporo's ferries wheel (not that I am a fan lol) or the view of the Nikka advertisement on my attached photo - they are worth it. It's amazing to sleep with such stunning view and wake up to one..... (check out my photos taken from my room) In case you wonder if that pic of me by the glass overlooking thr Nikka ad sign - that's the main breakfast restaurant where you will be having your daily breakfast but u have to get there early to book that seat, otherwise sit through breakfast till they close and then u get to take this photo for as long as you please...... Ok ok ok... i know I'm a little long winded. But hey... oh yeah... u need to know that you can take a limousine bus from CTS (Chitose International Airport) to Susukino which takes about 50mins on way for JPY1500 per person. Easy weasy and the from the bus stop in susukino where most will disembark - it's only a 5min walk to Hotel Stream which ISN'T that obvious as the hotel sign is NOT exactly on the building. You have to look out for a building that reads ”Coco-something” (ops forgotten the name of the building) and the hotel lobby is located on the 7th floor of that building which also house a shopping center, movie theater and numerous restaurants. If you're srill reading this - give me a like already and don't be stingy with that click will ya? Lol. "This hotel is incredibly close to the Odori subway station exits, with various lines nearby, just a 2-3 minute walk away. If you're someone who doesn't want to drag your luggage far, this place is perfect! And the biggest plus? There's an airport bus stop right in front of the hotel with direct service to New Chitose Airport 🚌. No need to squeeze onto the subway on your way back – it's a lifesaver for those with big luggage! It's also about a 6-8 minute walk to PARCO and Tanukikoji, making shopping and dining super convenient."

"The hotel was very nice. We got the corner rooms (208-209) and they had nothing to complain about. Spacious than most standard rooms in Japan. Our room has sofa and a table. Separate toilet, washing basin zone, and the shower room has a bathtub and a shower head separately. (I don't like thw combination one so i purposely chose this type of room) The cleanliness was superb, you can put the card on the bed and the sticker at the door to sign them to help clean the room and change the bed sheet. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, hair dryer, robes, air humidifier, kettler, few glasses and mugs, air freshener spray, slippers, laundry bag (for laundry service). Staff were nice, breakfast buffet was great (no need to book in advance, can pay upfront) The closest stations are the Tozai Line (orange): Nishi juitchome and the Namboku, Toho, Tozai Line: Odori station."

"Facilities: A bit old, as it's been around for over a decade, but still very refined and tidy, with a feel of a fading noble. The hotel has pretty complete amenities; the only downside is the lack of a laundry room. You have to walk a bit to find a paid laundromat outside (perhaps because they figure only winter visitors come to Hokkaido, and you barely need a shower in winter, right? (laughs)). Hygiene: Very clean, fitting for a five-star hotel's positioning and price point. Environment: Located next to Nakajima Park. From my room, I could see the vast white snow of Nakajima Park below. It's a bit far from the city center (around 800m), but very quiet at night. You can take the JR or walk to the city center, and the experience is still very good. Service: Standard five-star hotel service; all expected services are well provided."

"Have been to this airport 3 times, 1st time using this hotel to catch the early morning flight out. It’s ambience quite an eerie experience, a bit difficult to find the hotel initially😄 Otherwise the room was big, toilet & amneties was great! Staffs were very helpful & friendly. Would highly recommend this place if wanna good rest before flight out."

"The Good: - right on top of the underground links to many shopping areas. - walking distance to subway. - many restaurants nearby. Service staffs are friendly & helpful. The Bad: - room a bit small but expected. - bathroom & toilet have a high steps up. Very dangerous for elderly coming out of the bathroom as the step down is quite big."

"The hotel located in the center of Sapporo. There is a affiliated parking (Times) in the opposite site of the hotel (1,700 yen per night.) which is good. The welcome coffee and ice cream were very delicious. Only the breakfast has less varieties of foods when compared with other hotels in my trips. There was no fresh Sashimi seafood. The room was spacious clean and has everything you need. The hotel looks well decorated for us."

"As with the other reviews here. Their location is everything. The airport limousine bus stops extremely close by this hotel. Just few mins walk to reach. Further, this hotel connects directly underground to Pole Town shopping and the subway (Namboku line), traveling around is extremely convenient; few hotels that are so strategically located as this one! Plenty of food and konbini options (Seicomart right next door) around as well because this hotel is right outside Tanukikoji shopping street. There are also McD and MOS burgers nearby. Something I don't like is the room they gave me is on the lowest floor, even when I requested a high floor very early on. The walking traffic light chirping sound outside is very loud and I can hear it in the room (thankfully it was off during sleeping time). As for the staff, there is a mix of foreigners (some Nepalese and Thai) and Japanese local, all of which are very helpful. Although they said housekeeping only every 7 days, but they collected the trash and change towels daily; even made up our bed, i think the only thing they didn't do is change your bedsheets everyday. Twin room is quite spacious for 2 person, we can open up our luggage no problem. Express check out available just drop your key inside the lift. Overall I'm very happy and it's a pleasant experience! (except for the loud traffic bird sound)"

"Marvellous location!!! Hotel opened in December 2023. Nice, clean and decent-sized room. Hotel lobby has a small tea pantry with coffee machine, amenities shelf, drinks vending machine and a laundry area. Limited free snack every afternoon. Lift only accessible with your card key. Super impressed with the accessible and fantastic location. - take the airport bus and drop at Minami 3-jo Susukino. Hotel is just diagonally across the street (less than a minute walk) - when you exit from the hotel, make a u-turn to your right and you are less than a minute away from the connector of sectors 2 & 3 of Tanukikoji Shopping Street - Daiso is a 2-minute walk and Mega Don Quijote (opens 24h) is a 3-minute walk from the hotel - a mere 3-minute walk to Susukino Station or 5-minute walk to Odori Station - Family Mart and 7-Eleven are just across the street and Lawson is a 2-minute walk away - nestled right next to the intersection with a prominent and unique-looking facade, high visibility - an abundant array of dining options all around the hotel Switched to this hotel from my original choice 2 days before the trip. Couldn't have asked for more. No cap!"
