MM21558****For three consecutive years, we've brought our kids to Sapporo for their December ski holiday, and each time we've stayed at Hotel JAL City Sapporo. The service from every staff member in the hotel lobby is top-notch. There's one person, in particular, who looks very Japanese but is Chinese, and her Mandarin is incredibly fluent, her voice is lovely, and her service attitude is simply fantastic! 👍
The hotel's Western-style breakfast is very rich and fresh, offering both Western and Chinese flavors, as well as Japanese options. The restaurant is located on the 35th floor, and the window view is absolutely stunning. It feels like you're looking down on everything from a great height, with our hotel nestled right amidst the mountains – an excellent location.

Location: in the Jozankei Onsen town that’s about an hour + out of Sapporo. Honestly if you’re in a group, just book a cab out, it was about $80++ for 3 of us! Otherwise remember to book the Onsen bus shuttle early in advance 🥹
Area around Onsen is nothing much besides other Onsen houses, a small cafe and other smol tourist picture spots.
Back to the Ryokan: this was my first experience being in one and I’m so glad I chose this place! Mum and sister throughly enjoyed it as well, using our in room Onsen ( there’s 2!) and also the shared common Onsen with an outdoor facing the snow too ❄️☃️♨️
Service:The staff was extremely polite and efficient, seeing the reviews of them being rude was kinda uncalled for. They were nothing but kind and attentive. It is a very quiet and peaceful place , I understand the need for all guests to be maintain the atmosphere too.
Food: amazing, one of the best meals I’ve had in Japan so far ♥️ the pictures below speaks for itself 🥹 private dining room to enjoy the view too🏔️
Loved small touches too like the mikimoto soaps , Dyson hair dryers ( in the public Onsen) And the chopstick souvenirs 🥹
I can’t wait to come back here again with my partner 🤍

GGuest UserI loved Nukumori No Yado Furukawa! I was an American solo traveler, but my wife is Japanese (we have 2 boys), so I am very familiar with Japanese culture. I wanted to go to a place that Japanese people would love, not a tourist-focused place. From the moment I entered, the service was excellent. I was greeted, checked in quickly, then accompanied to my room for explanations of how everything operates. My room was very comfortable. The facilities, including bath area, foot soaking areas, lobby, lounges, etc. - were all clean and comfortable. The lounge next to the lobby was a cozy place to relax, and most of the lounges included food and drink during at least some point of the day. I visited in mid-October so the leaves were changing color and the temperature outside was crisp but not too cold. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding. I hope to return again with the rest of my family. Highly recommended!

MMangFuThe day we arrived, it was snowing heavily, and the scenery was absolutely stunning! I recommend taking the Kappa Bus a bit earlier and arriving before 2 PM. You can drop off your luggage at the hotel and then take a scenic walk to Futami Park, enjoying all the beautiful sights along the way. Grab some shumai for a late-night snack before heading back to check in and enjoy all the hotel's amenities. Haha. When you check in, you can ask the front desk if there are any seats left on the free shuttle bus back to Sapporo Station for the next day or a future date. I asked Ctrip to book it for me, and they quickly replied that there were no seats available, but when we asked in person, we got some! You can also book your breakfast time and a window seat at the same time. The ramen at 10 PM isn't too busy. I suggest going for a private onsen bath on the first floor around 9 PM, then a massage, and after that, the ramen and ice cream hit just right.
Overall, this hotel is beautifully designed everywhere 🤩

1110076****This is an established onsen hotel, and all its facilities are still very well-maintained.
The hotel's location is excellent. The bus can drop you right at the entrance (though coming from Sapporo, there are many bus stops, so it's fine if you're not in a hurry). The hotel is also very close to Futami Tsuribashi (Futami Suspension Bridge), just across the way. It doesn't seem like much during the day, but going for a stroll at night, the illuminated path through the 'flower lane' is truly beautiful.
The hotel has two hot spring baths; it's best to try both. Personally, I found the one on the second floor to be better. After a relaxing soak, there are free massage chairs available, making you feel delightfully drowsy.
The dining is about average. Dinner is Japanese cuisine, and breakfast is a buffet. Additionally, the open lounge area in the hotel lobby offers various beverages, including Japanese sake, which is a nice touch. 👍

^_^ There's also a free self-service coffee machine in the lobby.
^_^ They don't place toiletries in the rooms, but they're provided for free upon check-in.
^_^ For a business hotel, the room size is surprisingly generous, and the bathroom with its wet/dry separation is also quite spacious.
^_^ The bedding is also very comfortable, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep.

The hotel boasts a superb location! It's right next to the Tanukikoji shopping street and Susukino Subway Station. The best part is that the airport shuttle bus stop is just a 2-minute walk away.
😵💫 The map navigation isn't very precise, so you might get a little confused within a 20-meter radius.

The front desk staff are warm and patient, attentively addressing all our needs.

MM478184****Staying here cost 5000 a night, but as soon as I entered the room, there was a faint musty smell, showing the hotel is a bit old. Since there were four of us, we specifically looked for a large room. However, what they called four beds turned out to be one normal bedroom plus two small, dorm-like beds in the living room? It was a bit unsettling (there's a bar right next to the small window, which looked creepy at night), and the living room was huge, so none of us dared to sleep there.
To be honest, the toiletries were mediocre.
The breakfast was pretty good, and the afternoon tea and free evening drinks were decent. The hotel's location is excellent; you barely need a taxi if you're exploring the city.
The service was a bit confusing... I wanted to ask if the hotel had a spa, and after several calls, I received different answers? It took a while to finally figure it out.
We spent a long time trying to get the TV mirroring to work, but no luck. However, the hot spring was really good.
Overall, we had a reasonably pleasant stay.

The facilities are a little old, but the hospitality was evident in the rooms, restaurant, pool, and spa. I was also pleased with the welcome sweets. It's a hotel I'd like to visit again, and I was very satisfied.
