This hotel is a must especially if you’re going during the Sapporo Yuki Matsuri (Snow Festival). Susukino and Odori site are only few blocks away and the Tsudome site is only a subway ride away. It’s super close to the subway station and it’s also close to Nakajima Park where you can play in the snow. The Susukino site is a very lively place with plenty of shops and restaurants.

Proximity to Sapporo station is the main consideration why I booked this hotel because it’s my first time in Sapporo. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is very well put together: rooms clean with impressive amenities, breakfast buffet is excellent. I will definitely be coming back to stay once we go back in town.

Pros: best beds! This was the 6th hotel in our month long Japan trip their firm Simmons mattresses are the best. Good public bath on the top floor with an open to sky outdoor tub. Excellent friendly staff. Little things like reprogramming the escalator to go down during check out hours, seats at the elevator lobbies, and code to access to the baths makes the stay nicer. Best prefeb bathrooms and also nicely appointed deco. Room size was bigger than your standard business chain hotel. Great location too to Sapporo Station and Odori Park.
Cons: although the breakfast selection was adequate, it badly lacked variety. Everyday was the exact same items/menu. I strongly recommend that they change out 20-30% like other hotels. For this reason alone we can not stay more than 5 days. We moved to another hotel due to this breakfast issue.
Overall, we would stay here again but again for not more than 4-5 nights due to the breakfast. Its a real pity because we like everything else about it. Almost a prefect score.

Karaksa Hotel Sapporo is right smack in the middle of Tanujiko shopping and dining belt. The Ramen Alley is also nearby. It is close to the entrance of Pole Town, which links all the way to Sapporo JR Station.
Walk past Odori metro station in the direction towards Sapporo JR station, you can also easily access Aurora Town on your right, another underground shopping stretch that leads to Aurora Plaza.
The hotel provides free ice-cream and drinks at level 2F. The onsen is also conveniently located at level 2F. A coin laundry service is also found near the onsen area but the dryers don't seem very effective. I had to put enough 100 yen coins to use the dryer for 6 whole hours before they were completely dry!
Room size is just nice for 2 pax, however it would be a tight squeeze for 3 adults. There isn't much hanging space for clothes in the room so I had to improvise by getting S hooks from Diaso.

Super satisfied with this hotel! I went there two days before the Spring Festival with my family and booked two deluxe family suites for two nights. I soaked in the hot springs in the hotel room and saw the little fox outside the window🦊. So lucky! The hotel's dinner and breakfast were very good. I was also very satisfied with the layout of the room and the hot springs. Although there were two beds, I like to sleep on tatami mats, and they helped me lay the floor mat. I want to go to this store again! It really achieved relaxation and enjoyment😋

We stayed here twice during our Hokkaido trip.
Pros: close to Sapporo station, very pleasant and accommodating staff, smooth and efficient check in and check out process, clean public bath (you can get a free popsicle), breakfast was good, plus on how the neighborhood was quiet, it was thoughtful too how there were free candies during the start of the golden week,
Cons: tbh, cant think of any. Other than it is a bit dated but hey, for the price, location, and amenities, it’s a great deal.
Overall, 5/5… we will stay again.

The hotel is located between Sapporo Station and Odori Station, very convenient for taking the railway. The hotel offers hot springs and free Sapporo beer at 7:30 p.m. The room is well-equipped and has a great view, with a beautiful night view of Sapporo. The Christmas decorations in the hotel are beautiful and the staff are very polite. The only downside is that the towels were dirty one day and the bed sheets were not changed. I will definitely stay at this hotel next time I visit Sapporo.

good service and pretty good location which is very near by the shin-sapporo starion. Shin-sapporo station isnt that convenience though. If you want to visit somewhere near the city center, then you probably may want to book that hotel near sapporo station or otori station. However, this hotel is in a good condition and very comfortable to live. It is a pity that I cannot enjoy the spa because of my tattoos. Another thing worth mention is that the window view here is fantastic.

The check in experience is fully automated and did not work properly for us - you can tell it's normally a real pain in the ass.
But luckily there were staff on hand to help us and they were friendly enough.
The hotel is brand new and it's well constructed. The location was also convenient so I would recommend a stay.

Amazing
AAnonymous UserAll the hotel staff are very nice
The private hot spring is also very comfortable
The hotel has a spa and laundry
It is already very good in Jozankei
The only drawbacks are two aspects
1. Inconvenient transportation The hotel has a free shuttle bus, but it is basically impossible to make a reservation during the peak season. You can only go directly through the reservation system bus/the hotel helps to book a taxi. You need to make reservations in advance
2. This hotel is not in Jozankei Town, it is located next to the highway. Because the hotel has no entertainment facilities, transportation is inconvenient during the snow season. If you want to play around, you need to make transportation plans in advance
Overall, the experience is still very good
EEmmazhaostayed here for two days ,the hotel is in a good location and it's a relatively nice hot - spring hotel in the local area. Here are some aspects that I found a bit inconvenient during my check-in, and I'd like to share them with you.
1. The housekeeper suggested wearing the clothes and slippers provided by the hotel. It's a pity that all the sizes are the same. It doesn't matter much about the clothes, but the slippers are too big. They make it extremely difficult to walk and it's very easy to and fall.
2. There are a lot of steps in the room. An elderly person in my family tripped and fell when going to the toilet in the middle of the night. You must be careful at night.
3. Most of the customers are Japanese. As for payment, they can only pay in cash or use Visa or Master cards. UnionPay cards cannot be used here.
4. One last thing to pay special attention to is the door of the room. You need to lock it additionally both when entering and exiting the room. If you don't fasten all the locks from the inside when you come in, people outside will be able to open the door. We've already had the embarrassing experience of three of us lying in bed when a group of people suddenly burst in from outside. Please keep this in mind.
GGuest UserThe last stop in Hokkaido, Jozankei, is the finishing touch. The hotel is so beautiful, whether it is the exterior, lobby, room, hot spring, corridor, or even the public toilet, it is beautiful and attentive to the extreme. Dinner can be said to be the most Japanese and richest dinner. Breakfast is also good
Tonight, I met the Hiking and Running Festival for the first time. The hotel gave me tickets and prayed for the lights.
JJoedySecond time staying at this hotel, and I would recommend this hotel for its proximity to Odori Park, the subway, and Tanukikoji Shopping Street.
There is a 7-11 just right on the ground floor of the hotel, and in the basement of the hotel, there is a hot bath for you to enjoy after a long day of sightseeing. There are plenty of food options near the hotel. However, do take note that the luggage storage area under the bed is not meant for big luggage. My 28-inch luggage couldn't fit inside it.
Nonetheless, I will recommend this hotel for budget conscious travellers. I will personally be staying in this hotel when I travel to Sapporo the next time also!

GGuest UserOpposite New Otani Hotel. Very clear information on how to walk to hotel from Sapporo station on website. Friendly and helpful staff. Always ready to help. Room is clean and stylish. Well located between Sapporo station and Odori Station. Can walk to Sapporo TV tower and Susukino. Lawson and Tully's coffee are just downstairs. Will stay again.
GGuest UserOverall, the experience at Cuishanxi was very good, but the service of several male waiters left me with a very bad experience. One was the male waiter who checked in. His overall reaction was very bland. Having stayed in so many high-end hotels, I felt that his attitude was average and indifferent. At that time, we were not told that we needed to pay 150 yen per person for the private hot spring. I was wondering why they didn't tell us that it was not necessary? But the most annoying thing was the male waiter who checked out the next day, a thin male waiter. When we checked out, we asked him if there was a bus (although there was no bus when we asked before checking in, just a tentative question to see if there were any variables), he said no, it was normal to get here. Then we asked him to book a taxi for us. He said he was very busy now. Didn't he think about making an appointment when he got up in the morning? ? Oh my God, am I here to stay in the hotel, or do I want you to teach me? I didn't say that a taxi would pick me up immediately. I just booked a car. It's my own problem to arrive early or late. Do I need to listen to you teach me how to do things? Fortunately, when we walked around and went back, we met a female receptionist with a very good attitude. She was very kind to help us consider three options and even tried to help us coordinate the bus position. In the end, we took the bus. Otherwise, I would definitely complain to this man! So I strongly recommend that other male waiters learn more from this woman!
GGuest UserBig rooms with a couch. Facilities in the hotel included a communal bath. Big hotel so could be busy at times.
The only thing that lets it down is the distance from the train station, aside from that it is in a good location.

ととしまろFamilies with children will especially enjoy this hotel. It seemed like nearly half of the guests were with children.
You can enjoy the pool and baths.
You can also enjoy the pool and baths after checking out.
I've stayed here twice this year.
This is a hotel I'd like to stay at again.
GGuest UserFirst of all, Jozankei is too small and too remote. The hotel is old and the hot spring is very ordinary. If you just want to soak in the hot spring and play in Jozankei, I strongly do not recommend staying here. If you are going to the ski resort, it is highly recommended. On the one hand, you can book a car to pick you up directly, and on the other hand, you can go to the hot spring to relax after skiing without delaying your time.
GGuest UserEvery project is perfect, and the living environment is relatively quiet. But it is difficult to find food, and it takes half an hour to drive there and back. It's not suitable for people with luggage. The transportation is inconvenient unless you call a taxi.
