"This guesthouse is located right inside Hongcun Scenic Area, super close to famous spots like Moon Pond and South Lake – just a three to five-minute walk. It's really convenient to get back after watching the fish lanterns at night. The paths within Hongcun can be a bit tricky, so it's a good idea to call the front desk when you arrive; they can help with luggage transfer. We stayed in a suite, which was very spacious, and the three beds were perfect for the three of us. It also had a private courtyard with a table, creating a lovely, ancient-style ambiance, complete with many small decorations perfect for photos. The guesthouse offers Hanfu and Qipao for guests to try on and even provides umbrellas. The auntie at the front desk and the uncle who helped with our bags were incredibly kind. We accidentally left something behind when we checked out, and they went out of their way to bring it back to us."

The toiletries in the room are all high-end, which shows great attention to detail. I even enjoyed a quiet moment in the garden before bed. Breakfast was also very generous. The staff were super enthusiastic and helped us with our luggage. A five-star experience!"

"Location-wise, this B&B is right in the heart of everything. It's a renovated century-old house, and you step right out to Moon Pond. The owner is really nice and even offers luggage transfer within the scenic area. Waking up early in Hongcun before the crowds is a completely different experience. Staying here, you can just walk out and see Moon Pond, and South Lake is also very close and convenient."

"My best friend and I came here specifically for a traditional Chinese photoshoot, and this place was perfect. Courtyard No. 1 is small and tranquil, ideal for some quiet time, while Courtyard No. 2 is spacious with horse-head walls and lush greenery, making it easy to capture stunning photos – a courtyard advantage that other guesthouses in the area don't have. It's just a two or three-minute walk from the South Gate, and someone was there to help with our luggage as soon as we arrived."

"This guesthouse in Hongcun Scenic Area is absolutely wonderful! It has a simple yet elegant courtyard with a strong scholarly ambiance. The owner is incredibly friendly and kind, offering luggage pick-up and drop-off services throughout our stay. They also thoughtfully arranged for us to dine at excellent nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner. Upon checking in, we immediately headed to Wanxing Tower near the guesthouse for stinky mandarin fish and rice with vegetables, which, unfortunately, were quite bland. However, the design of Nanhu Guanyuan itself is very refined and tasteful, and the breakfast spread offers a great variety, perfect for a heartwarming and satisfying start to the day. The guesthouse is exceptionally close to the Nanhu and Yuezao attractions, making it easy to take leisurely strolls in the morning or evening and soak in the beautiful, misty江南 (Jiangnan) scenery. My trip to Hongcun in Anhui was truly delightful, and staying at Nanhu Guanyuan made it even more enjoyable. Plus, the scenic area's parking lot charges a maximum of only twenty yuan for both day and night, which is incredibly good value."

"We felt incredibly fortunate to stay at Danyuan Boutique Inn. The host was very welcoming and took extra care with everything. We had great conversations, and even though we had to use translation apps, we felt like friends after just one day. His wife cooked a wonderful dinner and breakfast for us of local cuisine - it was a unique and authentic experience. "Choosing this guesthouse for our Hongcun trip was truly a hidden gem; I have to give it a glowing review upon checkout! The guesthouse is nestled within the scenic area, offering a tranquil retreat amidst the bustle. It's just a two or three-minute walk to Moon Pond and Nanhu Lake, making it incredibly convenient to catch the morning mist and evening views. The three-day multi-entry ticket meant we didn't have to rush back and forth. The old house is an authentic Huizhou-style building, with its courtyard, carved wooden windows, and horse-head walls creating a fantastic ambiance. The small courtyard's elegant greenery made it perfect for relaxing with tea and taking photos. The room was spotlessly clean, with soft bedding and a well-separated bathroom with plenty of hot water. The damp-proofing was excellent, with no musty smells, and it was quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The owner and housekeeper were incredibly thoughtful; they actively helped with luggage upon arrival, explained the Hongcun touring routes, and recommended local Huizhou restaurants. Breakfast was an authentic farm-style meal, with fresh and abundant congee, Huizhou rice dumplings, and farm-fresh eggs. Checkout was efficient and smooth, and the owner even thoughtfully advised us on our return route. Their service was genuinely warm and sincere throughout. With its ancient charm and heartwarming service, it offers incredible value for money. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Hongcun, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Southern Anhui!"

"The hotel is conveniently located near Hongcun, about a 7-minute drive away, and the Xiuli Scenic Area is also nearby. There's an underground parking garage, so it's very convenient for those traveling by car. This is a very well-designed hotel; the corridors and courtyard arrangements are full of thoughtful details, making every photo Instagram-worthy. The facilities are also outstanding – I always give high marks to hotels that provide washlets in every room. What truly deserves the most praise is the service. My father had a toothache and wanted to eat rice porridge with vegetables, which wasn't on the menu, but they proactively offered to prepare it for him. They even checked in on him during subsequent meals. The cleaning staff also offered caring advice. And the thoughtful souvenir given at checkout – these personal touches truly enriched our trip and made it unforgettable."

"Tachuan's autumn was made even more beautiful by this guesthouse. I searched on Ctrip for a long time, worried about hygiene issues, but this guesthouse really paid attention to details and was very clean. The moment I opened the door, the automatic welcoming ceremony from 'Xiao Ai' (smart speaker) was very touching. It's right at the entrance of Hongcun and the price is excellent value for money. The proprietress is very kind, and the young man who checked me in, Manager Xiao Wang, was extremely helpful with excellent service. From picking me up at the station to helping me find a car for my travels, he saved me the anxiety and exhaustion of not having a car in Hongcun. The prices were also reasonable. Anyone worried about drivers getting upset in Hongcun can completely entrust their needs to him. At the village entrance, he even used a small electric cart to help with my luggage. There are Hello e-bikes nearby, so you can go to Lucun early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Thank you for providing such a 'utopia' after my busy work. The hygiene was indeed top-notch!"

"This hotel is less than a 15-minute walk from the West Gate entrance of Hongcun. They also offer a shuttle service to the scenic area's parking lot (from which it's another 5-minute walk into the area). It's quiet and quite convenient. Compared to staying inside the scenic area where you'd have to drag your luggage over many stone paths, staying outside is much more practical. The hotel itself has a very artistic and stylish design, with spacious and tasteful common areas. P1 shows the breakfast area on the third floor. Breakfast is served as set meals (some items can be refilled). We booked a large room with one 1.8m king bed and one 1.2m smaller bed (similar to a榻榻米 or Japanese-style floor mattress). The hotel service is also great, very welcoming and helpful (they offer pick-up and drop-off from the bus station, though the bus station is actually right at the entrance of Hongcun scenic area anyway)."
